after buying an umarex blow back pistol and having it break within minutes of use , i was let down by the quality of appearance right from the start and you now know the rest. this time i did my homework ,no matter where and what i read , the reviews on the Barra Schofield western revolver 7 inch was almost unbelievable. im here to tell you its all true. the bb gun , pellet if you buy the pellet cartridges is amazing. The realism is amazing right out of the box ! i mean WOW .... the weight is that of a real fire arm which it isnt . It absouletly looks real though. it is very well built and thought out. it utilizes a real allen key to tighten and loosen up and away the the co2 cartridge. it took me about three minutes to realize the allen key is built into the left grip which pops off with a fingernail and exposes the co2 cartridge. so far my only negative is the allen i can see breaking away from the grip in time. Note it doesnt take very much tension to snug up the co2 cartridge either .
The grips are plastic but very much look like real wood and you have the option to buy pearl grips from BARRA. ok now the gun, It is so well thought out . ther safety for the hammer is tiny and placed just behind of the hammer with red and white dot indicaters . i think they purposly made it small yet very functional so as not to take away from the very real looks of the gun. to open up the gun ,the action is actually part of the front sight with a thumb groove cut right behind it to indicate the simple function of exposing all six very realistic looking rounds with actual weight too. as you bring the gun to full open the automatic ejector partially pops the cartridges up for easy of access and removal for reloading. the bbs sit snug in the rubber feeling tips of the brass rounds. i was actually hoping to be able to reload the bb round from the rear while still in the cylinder. you never know, someone at BARRA might be listening. not that this gun isnt allready top notch . as you close the gun the round action actually pulls the round flush with the cylinder . simple and very smart engineering. the warnings are nicely printed under the barrel so it doesnt look fake. the fit and finish is great . even the end barrel and other aspects have the bluing worn off purposley . it shoots dead on too. dont forget to oil the co2 tip and make your gun last. jeff. there is no question , if your itching to really go shooting but cant . this gun will fill you hunger. parents , you will not find a better gun to train with and spend quality time with your kids. buy yourself a holster and your set. only regret kinda. i want the nickle version too. which by the way these guns come in 5 and seven inch barrels. ive spoken my peace.

I got an 1866 for Christmas. When I opened the box, the gun had been broken in half during shipment. I e-mailed the Barra company and got a near immediate response. I sent pictures of the mishap and Barra, without hesitation sent me a new rifle. I could not believe how customer oriented the company is.

Terrible customer service, never answers questions, when they do it takes days. I paid for UPS saver worldwide and they shipped it with USPS to save them money so they could pocket some cash. Still waiting on my parcel haven’t received it yet, I would not recommend this website to anyone, because when you pay for better shipping they will just ship it with USPS and pocket the rest of the cash from the shipping price.

The gun broke literally after using 3 clips in it, they don’t respond when you contact them they are a bunch of crooks

What made my experience great I was being able to pull the 1866 out of the box and it be dead on Bullseye. Plus the phone of teaching gun safety to young people with a realistic BB gun

This as a sturdy looking air gun which packs a wallop
with just four to five pumps. There's not a lot of information that comes with it though so I'm not sure
if it will shoot pellets along with BB's or not. It has a
heavier feel than with other bb guns that I have purchased in the past with better safety features.

I first purchased the 7inch nickle schohfield and i was so impressed with the performance and quality of this gun i then purchased another one same as the first exept in 5 inch beautiful guns.

Just bought the 1866 and it is a great addition to my collection. Works great, love the gun.

i recently purchased a 1866 and was extremely pleased.it is built rugged and made to last.i like the safety and loading features. it has a sharp looking appearance and shoots straight.

I bought my husband the Barra 1866 cowboy rifle and he was very happy the look, the quality overall he loves his new toy!!! thank you for your products.

I purchased this for my 10 year old daughter, so she can learn the basic safety rules, and get some aiming experience. She shot it 10 times, and hit target 7 out of 10, and 2 were during setting of site, so aim was off there anyway. Very accurate, once set, and she has a blast with it now, and so do I when she isn't looking.

My experience with my AirGun has been amazing,i never knew how fun having an AirGun could be and how easy it is to use for a 18 year old son! :)

I have now had several interactions with Barra Air Guns. I can honestly say that they offer an absolutely "top notch" product! Their replica Schofield pistols are nearly identical to the REAL DEAL! Fit and function of the product is both perfect and REALISTIC! I am looking forward to an expanded product line and cannot wait to see what's next!
