Very disappointing return policy

I bought a pair of mittens and a headband online. While I’m aware that I technically accepted the terms and conditions (like most “world-class consumers,” I didn’t read them in detail), I was very surprised by the return policy. When I wanted to return the headband because the fit was unflattering, I was asked to pay almost 50% of the product’s price for the return shipping label. This feels unreasonable, especially since I already paid for shipping when placing the order. I shop online frequently and have never encountered a situation where I had to pay both for delivery and such an expensive return. Paying €7 to return a €20 item is simply disproportionate and discouraging.
This was my first and only Barts purchase and I intend to not recommend the brand to anyone I speak to; such a disappointment.

Barts cut production costs in exchange for inferior product

Barts is the next once respected brand to fall for cutting production costs and offering an inferior product. I bought the same earmuffs with them three times already - replacing them whenever I lost them. They were soft and warm.
The ones I received now, while sold as if they wete the same old furry earmuffs, are so flat that wind touches the side of your ears, and feel like hard plastic around your head. Absolute garbage. I am gutted.

Edit: instead of taking accountability BARTS is trying to have my comment removed for being "ingenuine". The way they ask me to prove myself is not with product photos or anything, which would be no issue, but by doxxing myself to them. They want my full name and contact info. Not Trustpilot, BARTS. This is intimidation.

BARTS is one my favorite brands

BARTS is one my favorite brands! In 2023, I bought a fantastic hat in Stockholm, and since then, my collection has grown to around ten Barts products. I have also recommended Barts to several people after receiving compliments on my hats, scarves and bags. Finally, the service and website are excellent and user-friendly.

Hat fell apart within two weeks of…

Hat fell apart within two weeks of wearing it. I couldn't believe it. For 40euro I expected better quality. When I contacted them they said return it to the store. Also when looking at their other hats I noticed the quality was quite bad and not well made. The one I bought seemed better but it was not. :(

E-commerece yet no free returns

The quality is ok, not the cheapest but nice overall.
When you return items, you get a "free" return label, but they deduct the cost from the refund, which is extremely sketchy and is definitely a way for them to hide the charge. Asking for a refund of the return did not help, even though I clearly bought a few sizes of the same item planning to return what did not fit. They have no physical shop so I can't try it on.
An E-commerce that in this day and age do not offer free returns does not deserve your business.

NEVER EVER

Made a €40 purchase from their own website, item is a no fit and doesn’t fulfill what promises, so I’ll return, BUT they will charge me €4,95 for the return, for a package that will be sent from like 5streets away. Ridiculous! Go for other options with no doubt.
