I bought from one of their TikTok lives. They do this thing where they say, 1,2,3 and then the first person to buy a bundle gets extra stuff. I bought a bundle for $30. Commented “bought” and then was instantly blocked by the TikTok host. What kind of customer service is that!?

Ordered $208 worth of stuff with Free usps shipping. I thought it would come in around a week like most online orders. Long story short: it was drop shipped from china and a month later still hasn’t came in. If you are considering based, don’t. It’s not worth it.

I ordered just 1 shampoo on the 24 th of February and only 2 days ago it said my order is on its way and is still not here.

Very disappointed with the speed and I will also be ordering soon a texture powder and conditioner so I’m hoping that they will come sooner

Took 3 weeks to arrive, €50 for a face wash and moisturiser, tiny bottles, crazy shipping fees.

Face wash is meant to be non-stripping and sulphate free? Completely ruined my skin, red rashes and inflammation, constant breakouts.

Don’t believe what they’re paying influencers online to say about these products. They are cheap and low quantity.

Alankar, cofounder and CEO of Based is someone I’ve had the privilege of getting to know personally recently. I’ve witnessed the utmost integrity, professionalism, generosity, articulate thoughtful communication from him as well as him just being an overall kind and caring person. From what I know of him I honestly would back anything he and his guys are a part of. I met and spent time with Jack and Cole as well and can’t say enough good things about them too. They have a great team of genuine people from what I’ve experienced. They make and put out high quality, effective products as well and as a consumer I would trust them to work to rectify any shipping delay or other minor irritation that could arise with any retail business! The products are peak and I love supporting such an ethically ran company! Based Bodyworks is a definite 10/10 company for me!

The second I tried Based my body had a great feel. My confidence grew back and I was happy. However, it did take a while for it to come in. I ordered the express shipping for the 2-3 days, but it came in a week later. Now, I know I have said that the shipping was very late to all of the people out there the product is well worth the wait and the product are very useful for anyone.

This company might as well be a scam. They’re clearly not dispatching their products from their claimed Australian warehouse or within the timeframes stated on their website.
Apparently my order is being dispatched from China…

They shipped within a week, and I ordered shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, and cleanser, and it works really well, and I love this product

I am extremely disappointed with my recent order from this brand. I was charged the full amount for my purchase, but I only received part of my order. The remaining items were never delivered, and despite contacting customer service, they have refused to send the missing products.
It is unacceptable to charge a customer in full and then fail to deliver the complete order. The lack of responsibility and unwillingness to resolve the issue is very unprofessional.
I expected much better service. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this brand to anyone

I ordered it sometime ago it’s very good,my hair fells very healthy and my acne is slowly disappearing.However skincare bottles are small.And also check double if your based is real.

As someone from Texas looking for solid men's grooming stuff online, I came across Based Bodyworks and thought it looked legit—clean ingredients, hype around the hair routines, peppermint shampoo, texture powder, all that "based" vibe. Website promises quick shipping, natural formulas, no BS fillers. Sounded perfect for a simple upgrade.
Placed an order for the shower duo and some hair stuff, excited to try it out. Then the nightmare started.
First off, shipping was slow AF—way longer than the "ships next day" claim. Tracking barely updated, felt like it was stuck somewhere overseas or in limbo. When it finally arrived (weeks later), the packaging looked cheap, one bottle arrived leaking/damaged, and the products didn't live up to the marketing at all. The shampoo left my hair feeling stripped and dry, conditioner was meh at best, nothing like the "game-changer" reviews I saw. Felt more like overhyped generic stuff with fancy branding.
Tried reaching out to support—multiple emails, no real response. Just automated replies or nothing. When I pushed for a refund or exchange, crickets. They hide behind "policy" excuses, no easy returns, and good luck getting a human to help. Reading other reviews now, seems like a pattern: ghosting customers, runarounds, and tons of complaints about fake copycat sites too (which makes trusting the real one even harder).
The whole "based" thing feels like a gimmick to sell overpriced products that underdeliver. Wasted my money and time. If you're in the US (especially Texas), skip the hassle—plenty of better, more reliable options out there without the headache.
Lesson learned: hype doesn't equal quality. Avoid unless you like gambling with your cash.

The skincare duo is horrendous. My skin keeps and keeps on burning and stinging and the „moisturizer“ just ends up drying my skin to death. Wouldn’t recommend

You need to verify it's the real one... my friend thought he ordered right but it was a scammer website with a few letters changed in the domain. Personally my experience has always been solid & the new body lotion is insane.

I bought the skincare duo and it arrived quickly in 7 days which is the minimum time to the UK. I have been using the cleanser and moisturiser for 2 months now and since then my acne has got a lot worse.

I ordered the based body lotion on drop day and been using it for a week or so. BEST body lotion I've ever used, and it smells so nice. Waiting on the amber and alpine scents now pls hurry

So I bought $88 worth of products and found out it was from a fraudulent website with order number starting with a B, then I noticed that the tracking information was yenwen from China. I contacted the company with the “contact us” and a lady from the apologized explaining to me about the scam and to contact my credit card company. I sent a screenshot of the information on my cc and she verified it was not from their website or company and suggested to buy the promo Amazon. I am still waiting on my original order if it ever gets delivered. Disputed the charge with my cc company and just received 2 out of 4 products I ordered on Amazon. It’s for my grandson who saw the product on TikTok. I don’t use that APP. I thought by “Googling” the name I was on the correct website! Unfortunately I got SCAMMED!
It’s really sad the way China has to do this to people probably all over the world just to make money! Or any internet SCAMMING COMPANY. It’s sad what this world has become! I get those SCAM CALLERS telling me they are calling from my cable company, funny thing I cut the cable cord a few years ago. Or they are calling AT&T, I tell them AT&T does not call their customers, they hang up! Sad, sad 😥

The leave in conditioner is so good, it smells amazing and hydrates my hair so much. My whole family loves it, thanks.

So back in March of 2025 Is when I first ordered from based where I got the based shampoo and conditioner and also the curl cream and leave in. The first time I tried Based I was a bit skeptical but as soon as I used the product my hair went from super frizzy to the best curls I’ve had in years! The order only took like two days to get to my house and I’ve been using based since then and now I’m re ordering all curl products and shampoo and conditioner since I’ve ran out of:/ hope to see my products soon! Love Based and Always Will!

They have the best curly hair products on the market would recommend

no customer service, items take months to ship.

Update: Package finally arrived months later, and was missing 1 of 2 items that I ordered.
