Baseus return scam
I ordered a pair of Baseus Bowie earbuds from Aliexpress last week and they were malfunctioning. The ANC didn’t work at all even though I tried resetting them and downloading the specific app to change settings.
I opened a return case because I thought they had a 'free return shipping' policy. To my surprise, I got a message from Baseus saying I, as the customer, have to pay the return postage myself, which is almost as much as the headphones. They even sent me their address in Chinese without taking the time to translate it.
I contacted AliExpress support and received a copy‑and‑paste answer. They are dragging out the conversation without any real solutions, asking me to provide screenshot from their own page, and keep calling me 'dear'. It feels frustrating and unprofessional.
I’ve read that others in the reviews saying they didn’t get the shipping fee back from Aliexpress nor Baseus, and some only got partially refunded by Baseus. I opened a case with PayPal, but I’ve read that some people didn’t get help from them either. Don't know what to do.
I’m going to stop buying from AliExpress AND Baseus from now on. It's a lesson, and not worth the headache!
Misleading Advertising & Dishonest Shipping Policies
I am extremely disappointed with Baseus Security. They use "Bait and Switch" tactics to mislead customers. On their official website, the X1 Pro camera was clearly advertised with a "Free Shipping" badge. Furthermore, their official Europe Shipping Policy states that orders over €60 to Romania benefit from Free Shipping.
My order exceeded €130, yet I was forced to pay an additional HK$214.00 for shipping via PledgeBox to receive my item. When I provided screenshots of their own website and policy as proof, their support team (Emeri) refused a refund and instead offered a useless 20 EUR discount code for a future purchase.
They claim that free shipping only applies to "multi-unit bundles," a condition that was never mentioned on the landing page where the "Free Shipping" offer was displayed. To make matters worse, they have since updated their website to hide the "Pre-order" button, likely to cover their tracks.
This is a clear case of misleading advertising. I have already escalated this matter to the European Consumer Centre (ECC). Beware of "hidden" costs when backing Baseus projects!

Works while offline and off-roading!
I tried it for the first time this weekend on offroad trails in Big Bear, CA. It worked flawlessly and only lost internet for a short time while on a trail deep in the woods on the back part of the mountain. I am exceptionally pleased with it so far!
Misleading Product Claims and Unacceptable Customer Service
I purchased the Baseus Rapid Series 3-in-1 Cable (USB-C to M+L+T, 20W, 1.5m – CAMLT-SC01) specifically because it was advertised as a 20W PD fast-charging cable, with claims including charging an iPhone to 60% in 30 minutes, support for 18W/20W PD, and broad device compatibility.
In real-world use, the cable did not perform as advertised. Using the same PD charger (Anker 336) and the same iPhone 16, I ran a side-by-side comparison:
My existing cable charged the phone from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes
The Baseus cable took over an hour to achieve the same result
I contacted customer support expecting a reasonable discussion or troubleshooting. Instead, the experience was deeply disappointing:
No response to email or WhatsApp for over 24 hours
When a response finally came, I was told the cable is not a fast-charging cable, directly contradicting the product listing
I was then told I must drain my phone to 0%–60% to file a complaint, despite Apple recommending the 30%–80% range for battery health
When I suggested testing within this safe range, I was told they do not run tests “on a customer’s whim or Apple’s”, The same tech also told me that you are talking as if never in your life has your phone's battery died..lol.
I was also told MFi certification is a “gimmick”, which raises serious concerns about product standards
When I reported that the micro-USB output was not working, I was asked to provide video proof, as my word was not considered sufficient
The tone of communication was dismissive and unprofessional, including sarcastic remarks about phone batteries dying “lol”
This is not the level of service expected from a brand positioning itself as premium. Dismissive customer support made this experience extremely frustrating.
I regret purchasing directly from the Baseus website and wish I had bought this product through Amazon, where customer protection and accountability are far stronger.
I hope management reviews this feedback seriously and improves both product transparency and customer support standards.

I like the open earbuds from baseus
I like the open earbuds from baseus. Top 3 for open earbuds. The issue I have with these are Bluetooth connections and volume. I wish also they were a little longer for fitting. I enjoy app look and everything about them. I carry them almost daily. The call quality for me is better on these than most other open earbuds in my car. I just keep losing connection during calls and random times. I've purchased these for friends family etc. Again you have a great product. It's little inconvenience that other brands don't have but your pros are way higher than your cons.

Incredible sound
I usually go for midrange but everything I tried so far was not as good as this! ANC isolates the sounds I desperately needed as a commuter. The build and quality of materials are top notch. 10/10 more than happy.

2 out of 2 chargers caught fire
2 out of 2 chargers caught fire. Bought on different times, few months apart GaN5 Pro 140w, roughly on second year caught on fire. I also bought 5 cheaper Baseus USB 10w chargers and 3 out of 5 have stopped working, but at-least they did not catch fire.

I Never buy something again from baseus, i ordered cameras, was not happy with the quality and i immediatly want to send it back after few days, they first try to convince me and didn't want to send a return ticket. After complain in paypal they immediatly send me return ticket but its not for free!!

Baseus was supposed to be 7 day free trial...but there is a giant catch!
I really put a lot of time and research into this company with its claim of "100% money back guarantee" within 7 days is a joke. I got a new $80 "power bank" model "Baseus PicoGo Ultra-Slim Qi2 Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh" was dead on arrival. I have told them in multiple emails now it is a dead device. Now they want me to prove it with an emailed video. I've tried that option and the smallest I can get the video to send them what they "need" is way too big to email. Their policy of "free 7 day warranty zero-questions asked" is fake as can be. They will put you through the wringer just like with me. I would never buy another Baseus product as long as I live. My honest opinion.
