This is the update to my previous review

This is the update to my previous review.
Met Stuart Marsden. Was told my payment would be done that afternoon. Didn't happen. A week later, I met another one called Lewis Petchey. As a last desperate attempt to get something of what they owed me, I ordered a digital shower system to the same value. This was lunchtime on 30th April. Was told it would be in for collection and he'd ordered it. Called him following Wednesday to arrange collection and ask if it had arrived. He told me "no, and it won't be, as we stopped trading on 30th April. " So, same day it was supposedly ordered and I had already paid for it. Asked him if he knew it was going under, didn't reply. Could sound like deliberate fraud to the man in the street. As I left on the 30th, I asked the area manager, Stevie Lea Baker, where the guy who worked there was? Oh, he's on holiday for a week. Turns out he'd been laid off. So, another one in on the plan. She was still showing stuff to elderly customers on that day. Be interesting to know if she took a deposit off them. Turns out that there's a charge over all the company assets from a company called FinBiz Ltd. Investigation shows it's a dormant company with four directors who live in Puerto Rico. Nothing suspicious there then🤔 Could have been worse I suppose, could have lost the whole £4,000 not just the £800 that we did but really feel for the installers who've been ripped off for thousands. Lets hope Karma is a real thing eh?

This company has stopped paying the …

This company has stopped paying the installation teams, I should know because I am one of them.
Between the 5 that I know about, we are owed over £30,000 and there are more that I haven't been able to contact yet.
Suppliers aren't being paid either so if you are thinking of using this company, please save your money as nobody will work for them and you will lose your money

Cancelled one item on a supply only…

Cancelled one item on a supply only order. Value of item just short of £800. Was told no problem, but refund could take 5 working days. Here I am a month later, after numerous calls and four visits to the shop, an email sent to the managing director who didn't even bother to respond, I find myself having to take legal action to recover funds these people have no reason to keep. We're pensioners and now stressing about this situation. No response whatsoever and were actually told by the shop staff that they've had no response from accounts and appear to be unable to contact them other than send messages. One has to ask themselves why this hasn't been resolved! Very unprofessional. I'll update if I ever get our money back.

Was told (after the review) that someone from the "TBP team" would contact me. That never happened either.

Bathroom refit .

Had a bog standard like for like bathroom refit planned for around £9000. Turned into an absolute disaster with the first installer doing such a bad job they had to send in a different installer to right all the wrongs. However, the next installer installed everything uneven. They then wanted to rip out and start again, I refused as it was turning into an absolute disaster. The project managing is non existent. I’m still correcting leaks etc myself as I refused to let them anywhere near my bathroom again!!

Not a good choice....…

Reasonable bathroom fitted at a cost of about £10,000.
Shame about the resultant damage on 02/09/2022 that took another circa £9800 to repair , with water pouring through the downstairs ceilings , damaging walls, ceilings, carpets and furniture.
The Bathroom Place blamed their contractor and told us he was responsible for the repairs. The contractor would not accept that and told us he was not qualified to replace carpets and repair furniture etc etc. So after a month of no start to repairs, we claimed on our house insurance
The repairs was paid for by OUR insurers.
To date , ie 17 months later, I do not believe that a positive response has been made by this company to solicitors

Would I recommend this company?, I leave that to you.
