Bought A 7.4v 3000mah lipo battery, it arrives at 1% charge and a .0586 volatage gap, tried to charge it and balance it, which it did, but used it for 4 minutes as a transmitter battery in my Futaba radio and it was down to 7.2 v in 4 minutes, requested a return (a whole other issue) got a replacement battery, again 1% charge, 0.685 V gap (I use a EOS720i charger) which is high quality and charges my 6S batteries to a 0.002V gap> told B.A about the issue, and been trying for nearly 10 days to get a proper return label, they tried to BS USPS by issuing my return label for general mail (Not hazardous Lipo), I requested a new return label, which they sid they would provide but havent, so I have a damaged LIPO that they sold me, and I have to store it in a metal box outdoors so they dont burn my house down with their defective battery that i can not return. Avoid doing business here, it will save you a headache and possibly your home?

Takes forever to ship. No one answers emails.

I was able to place my order and it came quickly. The batteries that I order do fit. Glad to deal with a US Company that has Real People answering the phones and not having customer service in another country. This company was even suggested by my radio manufacturer. Wish I would have ordered from this company initially. It would have saved me from returning batteries that did not work or fit.

This is my second purchase from BA, the first on was for a Yaesu FT5D radio, the BA battery is high quality and 70 Mah more capacity than the stock Yaesu battery. And works fine. Being a experienced Ham radio operator I know a thing or two about electronics and batteries with 45 years experience.

Whats more I tried a different vendors aftermarket battery for the Yaesu it did not fair out well, kept reporting the battery voltage all wrong even after several charge/discharge cycles. It went back.

This time I ordered Six batteries for my Btech Tri-band UV-5x3 Radios from BA, 3 1800 and 3800 Mah

The order took longer than usual (slow shipping times) here is what I recieved

3 Genuine Baofeng 1800 Mah and two Genuine Baofeng 3800 Mah batteries. The last 3800 Mah labeled battery had a blue label a generic battery.

immediately when I picked it up I noticed it was much lighter than the other two Genuine Baofeng 3800 Mah batteries also it would not easily snap into the radio in fact you had to rap it very hard to get it to stay locked in place.

here is the Real kicker, the new Genuine Baofeng batteries weighed .144g the other off brand 3800 Mah new battery weighed .098g a huge difference, I doubt this battery is a true 3800 Mah like the sticker says it is, also all of the weight on this battery is on the big end further reinforcing that there may not be any battery material in the slimmer part that slides into the back of the radio.

I used a precision postal scale to weigh these batteries

Called BA explained the problem was put on hold they offered to to replace the battery but it would be another blue label generic brand, asked for them to send me a genuine Baofeng they said they can't get anymore since this radio is discontinued (UV5R)

They still make the BTech UV5x3 a tri-band which takes the same exact battery so BA Refunded my money promptly on The generic blue label battery.
They also let me keep it. That was nice!

My point is don't buy the 3800 Generic Battery from BA it does not fit the radio properly and I seriously doubt it is a 3800 Mah lithium battery that the label states, possibly more like a Std 1800 in a larger case that does not fit properly.
There are other places to buy genuine Baofeng/Btech batteries at good prices and get the true sticker battery rating.

I am dropping another star for thier poor order filling times and very slow shipping times, also ordered a battery for my garmin GPS the same time, that did not come with the battery order and after call BA they said it might arrive 7-10 days later BA informed me it was coming from another sistor store, well this is just poor excuse and poor business practice, this is just not acceptable to me.

after this order is completly filled I will be seeking out another vendor to buy my batteries elsewhere from now on
