I recently completed a course at Baxter Clewis Training Academy, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite their promises, the academy failed to deliver on key commitments made to both me and my fellow students. The training was not up to the expected standard, and the overall quality was lacking. Given the high cost of the program, the value received did not meet the expectations set. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Baxter Clewis Training Academy to anyone. There are certainly better options available that offer more for your money.
The training on PCI DSS was particularly disorganized, making it difficult to follow and ultimately failing to justify the significant cost. Moreover, the academy did not deliver on their promise of providing interview opportunities, leaving many of us unprepared and frustrated. Overall, the experience did not meet the expectations set by the academy, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The price paid was not reflective of the value received, and there are better options available elsewhere.

My experience with Baxter Clewis Training Academy (BCTA) was highly disappointing due to several misrepresentations and unauthorized practices.

The misrepresentation of program authorization and the unauthorized use of PCI-DSS materials are serious concerns and led me to believe the program was invalid especially for that cost. Most programs of a similar type/price point are will at least provide an exam voucher, well known industry-backed certifications and direct contacts for job opportunities. This program does nothing to adequately prepare you for the job market.

Any good review is FAKE‼️If I could give this program a negative -110 I would. Boyd Clewis is a complete fraud with a total boot legged training on PCI DSS. His lessons never match the video’s and is designed to send you on a wild goose chase especially if you pay monthly. This man need jail time‼️Cyber Hero’s my A_ _. This Evil bipolar weirdo is a lying machine & I wasted months on this dog 💩. PLEASE Don’t take a second look at this SCAMMER & his Homely wife whom both claim that they are ministers. They will pay dearly for playing with this Chosen One! They will FALL I promise 🤬 🤬!‼️

Unorganized, while in class it was not the same personality I saw on him during the YouTube ads.
When we asked questions it seemed as if he was bothered or how dare we asked what questions, and we all felt belittled, so the whole class slowly stopped asking questions.

Then I was told I hadn't pay when I paid all up front before I even started. The un organization is beyond. Paid $15k for a pdf file that could be downloaded for free from the PCI Counsel website.

The reason you see positive reviews is because the program asks you to write a review barely after starting when you’re excited for a new journey.

This is a waste of $10,000. Yes, $10k with plenty others paying almost $20,000.

I’ll save you time and money. Google search the PCI SSC website and learn about how to take the PCIP exam.

There, saved you about $8,000+ and heartache.

Garbage and not worth $10K. Maybe $100. Wasted my money. please don't do it.

I enrolled in Baxter Clewis's cybersecurity training program, paying $11,000 with the expectation of receiving a comprehensive and career-enhancing experience. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing:

No Certification: Despite the high cost, the program does not provide any certification, which is crucial for securing jobs in cybersecurity. This was not clearly communicated initially.

Poor Value: Comparable programs, such as those offered by the Security Council, cost significantly less (around $2,000) and include certification. The value received from Baxter Clewis does not justify the high cost.

Unfulfilled Promises: The program advertised personalized resume enhancement services but instead provided an AI tool. While helpful, it does not replace the promised personalized assistance.

Lack of Hands-on Experience: Since joining in December, there has been minimal hands-on work. Most tasks were remedial and repetitive, failing to provide the substantial, real-world experience advertised.

Program Extension Issues: An extension was granted due to the lack of meaningful work, but even with the extension, there has been no substantial work provided. Now, we are being exited from the program without receiving the full benefits and training promised.

Overall, I feel misled and extremely dissatisfied with the program. I do not recommend Baxter Clewis for anyone seeking a valuable and career-enhancing cybersecurity training experience.

Just like everyone else I thought this would be a great Bootcamp to advance my career and learn valuable skills to help in the workforce. This program is a complete scam and trying to get people with no IT experience because they are easier targets. He never once takes accountability with people requests or questions, instead he will kick people out if they aren’t a yes man and think everything about the program is good.

We all paid different amounts as well and still hasn’t been disclosed why. I personally paid $12k to “learn” from this program then halfway through the program he asked for an extra $2,500 just to meet with him one on one for coaching.….……

This whole program is contradictory, trying to teach something that you can learn from the PCI Counsel themselves for $2k and get a certification. Yes you get no certification for $12k that you might pay for.

Don’t believe the “internship” part of the program there were more cancelled meetings than actual meetings then even with an extension we continued not to do any work at all for MONTHS……

His team will not take ownership of their shortcomings and will try to talk their way out of refunding people since we have been in the program for a longer duration, even though they push you to wait and see their “improvements “ that will happen.

Do not sign up and commit to this program!!!!!!

You’ll go through some course material that can be found on the PCI DSS website, go there and familiarize yourself. This program lacks: transparency, accountability, structure, standards, and leadership.

Started the program back in September of 2023 biggest mistake. The program cost me $10k some paid double and honestly this program is worth $100.00 that’s being generous. Boyd is a liar, the staff are also in on it. There are no industry leaders that recognize the certification and he Boyd knows it. STAY AWAY!!!!

There is absolutely no transparency, we do I begin, as students we were told we don't need "ANY" background in Cybersecurity to get a 6 figure role in this industry..well after speaking to over 25 top professional in Cybersecurity,and former students who are struggling to get a job, this claim is just NOT true, the only few students that got jobs has some kind of knowledge in Cybersecurity.
Then we all were being charged $10,000 for a program that offers no certification but could get the same training for $1700, and that includes a international certification.
when I asked why was this information Withheld, from the entire school I was told by his wife, I should just be happy with what they have, and then I was banned from his platform and labeled "Disruptive" and was told I spoke a curse because, I posted a message saying, hey if you are being DISHONEST the Lord is going to correct you. Just like he would deal with (me) or anyone else mistreating people..This family does not like to be confronted or corrected its easier for them to just Layoff their entire staff and remove anyone who questions them and just start over.. do your research you can learn PCI DSS for free and because it's considered a niche based platform, it should NOT be taught without a foundation like Security +, or some other foundation. If you jump into this program, you were ⚠️ warned you are making a big mistake

This program has been a major disappointment. Most of the staff were fired, and it's been shut down now for weeks. We've paid unfairly for what this program claims to teach. Learning PCI DSS directly through the PCI Council costs less than $3000, including PCIP certification—an investment far superior to this program. As a healthcare IT Project Manager, I trusted the Baxter Clewis program to prepare me for cybersecurity roles. Instead, I've had to unlearn bad practices; studying for the CISA exam has directly conflicted with this program's auditing methods. Local cyber chapter meetings, I've attended, have also revealed how inadequate this program is in teaching about for instance, emerging auditing tools, CISA best practices, and certification paths etc. They even charge extra for a basic AI resume tool, which you can do for free on ChatGPT. Save your money. Connect with local ISACA, ISSA, OWASP, ISC2 chapters (search them by your city and it's free to attend)—they'll guide you directly to relevant resources and career opportunities tailored to your area of interest. A much better investment than this program will ever be. Also, for anyone claiming that they'll teach you cybersecurity in 90 days with no experience, complete red flag. Please also research Baxter Clewis on Reddit. It is astonishing the number of victims are out there.

However, if you are still considering joining this program, ask the following first and gather very specific answers:
1. What percentage of your clients have secured roles through your program?
2. Among those who secured roles, what percentage had an IT background versus no IT background within the past year?
3. On average, how long does it take for clients/participants who secure cyber-related roles to find employment after joining your program?
4. How many one-on-one interview preparation sessions do students receive?
5. In a prior video, you mentioned a "resume supercharged" service. Are the individuals reviewing these resumes themselves, cybersecurity experts?
6. Do you offer refunds if students are unsuccessful in securing a job through your program? Could you provide details on how the refund process works, such as the time frame for eligibility (e.g., 6 months, 1 year)?

Baxter Clewis has been a great help with advancing my career. From day one they work with you till the end. I have gained a mountain of information throughout my journey. All the courses offer plenty of gems. If you are a beginner or wanting to advance your career I. Cybersecurity, Baxter Clewis is the way to go!

From education tax deductions to working with you and your busy schedule has been a lie. Before signing up for the course, I was told I can write off the 10k with my taxes and just needed to o reach out to the finance team for the tax form which they actually don't have. For the course work, don't bother asking questions because they'll just tell you to figure it out without any support or help at all to better understand the material. Especially when you don't know what you got wrong on the exam. The Q/As are not any help at all or the Zoom groups to speak with other members and staff. They do not respond to your questions or request for help. They just tell you to read the material. The internship was not much of an internship. I was told they would work with my with meeting times but upon applying, I was told that I need to meet the exact deadlines or else I'll be kicked from the internship with no exceptions. I'm EST and by the time I get home from work, those meetings are already behind me. They don't seem to care about that. The only indirect material they have are two topics with two questions each that don't go much in detail and add much value to your experience. After requesting for more as I was told to do, I was only referred back to the dashboard to the ones I just completed. I submitted my resume at at the end of the first month out of 4 since I need it to complete the other material for my LinkedIn profile. No responses until the week after the end of my term but still no resume. Just to get started. After requesting assistance and explaining my situation, I was told they couldn't help because my time expired. Finally they decided to work with my resume which took another 2-3 weeks. During that time, they asked for any experience I did in the internship which I did explain what happened but they seemed to ignore my responses and ask what I did again anyways. They finally supercharged my resume but I was not able to access the content to finish everything else. I was told to contact the support email which after multiple attempts have not gotten back to me except one time saying they can give me interview prep but with no further guidance or information. It has been 4 months since that response and me still trying to reach out. They don't have a number to contact, only the email. They can't even explain why the course is worth 10K besides that they provide value which they obviously don't. They say you just need to follow the material but it's no different then looking up free or significantly cheaper alternatives that will be more helpful and honest with you. Plus, you do need to have some technical understanding to be able to understand your job. Baxter himself had years of IT experience before switching over to PCI DSS. If you're going to be alone through this journey anyways, might as well save yourself the time and money (they won't refund for breach of contract) and spend some time finding those free and significantly cheaper courses that don't require a loan or massive chunk from the bank account.

I've been in the shoes of those who've felt discarded, told they don't fit the job because they're not up to speed with the latest trends. It's a tough blow, especially when you're competing against younger candidates. But rejection didn't define me; it fueled my determination to reinvent myself—for the sixth and final time.

After a series of disappointing job offers, I stumbled upon Baxter Clueless Academy while searching for ways to support my family. The transparency and no-nonsense approach of their program struck a chord with me. It was a breath of fresh air in a world filled with empty promises and fluff.

What sets Baxter apart is its direct, no-chaser approach. The material is cogent and relevant, tailored to meet your needs and pace. It's not for everyone, but if you're seeking hope and a chance to prove yourself, this is the place to thrive.

I urge anyone feeling stuck or undervalued to give Baxter a chance. As I've learned through my own journey, when my wife, who had been unemployed for two years, looked me straight in the eye and reminded me what's at stake. What's at stake is just everything! Then she said, 'Honey, I need you to get it up one more time, even when it feels impossible!' This resonated deeply with me, fueling my determination to press on, no matter the obstacles.

So if you're searching for a way out, a glimmer of hope, don't hesitate to explore Baxter Clueless Academy. It's not just a chance for a new career; it's a chance for a new beginning. Don't let doubt hold you back. Take the leap, and grab hold of the ring with both hands.

Baxter Clewis is an amazing opportunity. The education, mentorship, community, and support is unmatched! I am now a Senior in the program and a totally different person from when I started the training. I feel truly blessed to have stumbled across the Baxter Clewis Training.

Baxter Clewis has truly launched my career forward and I am so excited to see what is in store for my future. I am so thankful for the knowledge I’ve gained and the connections that I’ve made. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to expand their skillset in cybersecurity.

It was an awesome experience. The detailed and in depth approach to teaching PCI DSS made all the difference. They start from scratch and crown it will a live internship. You get hands on experience on real life projects. The career success coaches are particularly about the success of their candidates. I am grateful for the experience.

I had a great experience joining BCTA. Boyd is great at explaining concepts and breaking them down for the clients. The program works if you follow the process and what Boyd says. I have refered over 5-6 people to BCTA. I would reccomend this program to anybody. The advisors are also great with communication.

I really like the coaching, the weekly meeting, and the fact that Boyd himself as busy as he is, decided to implement a session himself shows he is dedicated to the success of the program.

Wasted $11k on this program. I’m writing another review because my original one was removed. Trying to save some of you from making the mistake I and many others have made by investing in the BC program. You will save yourself a lot of money if you just download the PCI DSS manual and study it yourself. That’s all this program is really about. The teacher is very intelligent but not a very good teacher. He expects you to know things that he hasn’t taught you. Many people buy into the program dreaming of a six figure job in PCI sometime after they complete the “internship”. The reality is that it rarely happens. If you ask BC for numbers on the percentage of students that get jobs after the program they won’t be able to tell you, giving the excuse that some people get jobs and never tell them. That’s smoke and mirrors. They promote an internship but it’s poorly structured and doesn’t really teach you much. I’ve also found that their internship doesn’t have much credibility with recruiters either. They help you with your resume… grossly exaggerating your experience and it will look just like every other student’s resume which will raise flags with recruiters. Don’t be fooled by the few testimonials they have of students having a lot of success getting into PCI. Those students are outliers and are not representative of the large majority. I wish you the best and hope you find another path to get into PCI or Tech.
