Horrid at communicating! Rude and bad experience! Will not buy there ever again! My family and I moved into our new home on January 13, 2026. I was shopping around for the perfect couch, and decided the Friday prior that we would get a new sectional. Every time I looked at Bay Area, they'd send me a message, seeing if they could help me, so I set up an in-person appointment. I found the sofa I wanted, but was concerned it was too large for the entry of our home. The gentleman helping us assured us the sectional can be broken down into smaller sections. So, I pay for the sofa, in full, that day (around $2900). Delivery date was set up for January 14. January 14 came and went and no one showed up or even called to say they weren't coming! The next day (Jan 15), they set up delivery for that evening. They show up about 7 PM and refuse to even attempt delivery, as they didn't bring the sectional broken down, they brought it in 2 giant pieces (that definitely won't fit through our entryway!). So on January 16th, after a ton of anxiety, they tell me that I can still get my sectional, but they have to charge me an additional $300, so they can send it into their factory to get broken down and it will fit through the entry after this is done. OK, whatever, at least I can still get my couch, so I pay it over the phone (grand total paid, and little more than $3200, as of January 16). After I pay that, a guy named Landon notifies me that I can expect delivery 3-7 business days AFTER February 4, 2026! So, on February 13th (the 7th business day AFTER February 4th) I contact Bay Area and they tell me there are shipping delays and I won't receive my couch until 3-7 business days AFTER February 14th! Landon texts me on February 21st, telling me my couch is in. They finally delivered it on February 23rd! When I voiced my frustration on their lack of communicating and my displeasure of such a long wait, when they initially told me the day I bought it it could be broken down, they had the nerve to blame ME, the customer, that they were doing their best in a situation where I didn't measure properly! Instead of reimbursing me any of the extra money I paid, or trying to even provide a little customer service, they actually pointed fingers at me! Bahaha joke of a place! They won't be in business very long, I am sure. Especially if they treat their customers the way I was treated. I knew I should have stuck with the place I usually go for my furniture. Lesson learned!
