Bayview Hotel-Apartments Malta Reviews 

Starting with positive, good location, nice size apartment and great view of harbour. However the apartments are tired, fixtures and fittings falling off, bathrooms not great. The ac was not working in 1 of the 3 rooms and neither was the wifi. When I asked to be changed to another apartment or fix the issues they didn’t help. It’s a shame as these are small things to get right.

We recently stayed at your hotel for 12 nights and would like to express our disappointment regarding several aspects of our stay. We are not quick to complain and have stayed in many hotels over the past 30 years, but this experience was truly unacceptable – especially considering the price we paid.

Room Type & Poor Communication
We specifically booked a room with two separate beds and even emailed the hotel two days before arrival to confirm this. Unfortunately, we never received a response. Upon arrival, we were given a room with a double bed. Although we were told this would be resolved the same day, we had to follow up again the next day with other hotel staff.

Cleanliness and Housekeeping
Housekeeping was extremely poor. During our entire 11-night stay, the floor was never cleaned — only the beds were made. The bathroom was very small and had several issues, including a loose toilet seat and a leak that left everything soaking wet. We had to rush through showers just to keep the water from flooding into the room.

Towels were not always available. Sometimes we were given only one small towel, and other times there were none at all. In addition, housekeeping only came by late in the afternoon — usually between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM — which was very inconvenient as we were often getting ready for the evening at that time.

Breakfast: Poor Quality & Atmosphere
The breakfast was basic, repetitive, and the quality of the products was quite low. The breakfast room was far too small for the number of guests, and loud music often made the atmosphere uncomfortable.

Other Issues

AVOID THIS HOTEL!!
We had an incredibly disappointing stay here. First off, the pool they advertise is not the one at the hotel – it’s an off-site pool that costs an additional €30 per person per day. The actual pool at the hotel is small, dirty, with tiles falling off the sides and a maximum capacity of just 18 people. It’s absolutely nothing like the photos they show online.

We also checked out the "rooftop bar," which was a total joke. It’s not actually a bar at all, just a small, sad space and the drinks were flat.

To make matters worse, the ceiling in our room leaked on the first night and created a puddle on our bed. The staff didn’t seem to care at all when we reported it. The showers flooded the floor every time we used them, and the sink didn’t drain properly. The lifts were painfully slow, and we ended up using the stairs most of the time. Even the plug sockets were faulty – they not only buzzed but often didn’t charge our phones at all!

This hotel ruined our holiday, and I can’t recommend it to anyone. Terrible experience all around. Definitely stay elsewhere!

Ideally located for our trip to Malta . Room was very clean and housekeeper everyday was absolutely fantastic, we only booked for breakfast it wasn’t that bad ( I have had worse) all staff at this hotel were very polite and friendly.
