Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 92 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the service and customer support, finding it unhelpful and ineffective. Reviewers also frequently encountered issues with the website and noted slow response times, making it difficult to resolve their concerns. Though some people were satisfied with the staff, finding them professional and helpful, a significant number of consumers felt that the platform was useless for resolving complaints, as businesses could easily dismiss issues without genuine resolution.

Apparently the bbb allows for…

Apparently the bbb allows for businesses to pay for accreditation if they want an A+ then that costs a certain amount. All this time i was thinking businesses actually were earning this through reviews and how they respond to customers, nope. What a crock of shtt, they're also sensitive lol. I put in my complaint that "i don't know who at the bbb is considering a complaint is invalid for fraud". I spoke with someone over the phone and she said this is the reason it was considered invalid and they like to keep it professional haha. Yeah whatever they're so full of themselves. Don't think that they're tied to the Gov't because they're not. They're regular old people who came up with a way to make money off of businesses. I'm wondering for this review do i need a receipt for the bbb transaction in order for tp to post it lmao.

SCAM!

SCAM!

This company allows people to pay for verification rather than making them earn it. How can you trust that?

Injustice!

Holy Cross Cemetery and Funeral Home in Thornhill confronted me with one of their employees to arrange disentombment for my deceased father. They charged me just over 8,000$ for the transaction. Unfortunately, they offered me just crumbs regarding the reimbursement of the three lots that I left them, my father's and two prepaid lots; one belonging to my mother and one belonging to me.

BBB has nothing to do with government…

BBB has nothing to do with government run websites and accreditations. They are a private company run on member fees. They hide behind a facade of fancy nonsensical badges they invented themselves, claiming to be something important and essential. They are not. Do not get hanged up by the fancy office calls from them. Better yet get on the class action suit to finally bring the end to this. The reviews are fake, I tested myself. All you need is a valid email and you write as many fake and damaging reviews as you want. There is absolutely no background check. But then again - BBB is just another review website, like Yelp but for old people. They have zero authority to call you or to publish your info without your explicit permission, just like any other website. Again - class action suit needs to be filed asap.

Terrible

Terrible, corrupt system. Wow. BBB used to be an informative, trustworthy source to get the skinny on a company. Not anymore.

After trying to review a company "OnTrac delivery," I noticed OnTrac has been rated a one star company; however, BBB still has it listed as an "A" listing.

BBB website would not even let me leave a review... just kept telling me verification code was incorrect. Crazy... who do you report the BBB to? SMH. Just sad.

They Do Nothing For the Customer

They do nothing. The people who work for the Better Business Bureau, can't even READ emails sent to them about a business. They ask you stupid questions about your complaint when it is all right there in the email if they just would bother to READ it, but they are either too lazy or too illiterate to bother. They even BANNED me from ever using them again. Fine, I can do without them anyway. I just do it the old-fashioned way, file chargebacks against the company for ripping me off. The BBB always took literally MONTHS to answer back with a resolution, long after I fixed the problem MYSELF. They're useless! Plus, they don't use all of the IMPORTANT screenshots you submit to the BBB as evidence against the company. Most of the time, they seem to be more for the company than the customer. They are no longer worth it. They do NOTHING.

What is this???

What is this? 1.8/5 stars for the BBB?? More like the WBB Worse Business Bureau? How the hell we expect this Bureau to keep other companies ethical and maintaining good business practices with a rating as low as this! This Bureau ought to be ashamed of themselves. I'm disappointed ☹️😞

IN A FLASH GREAT GUYS GREAT COMPANY In Brantford

We had a fence put in 4 years ago by In A Flash , it was a beautiful job 4 years later 3 of the 5'' pressure treated posts rotted out and the fence started leaning. Ted came over to see it and said they were really rotten and would check his suplier to see if they would cover repair costs. well they wouldnt So on August 15 2023 Ted and his crew showed up and dug up the rotted posts and replaced them , with lots of cement in the holes . Ted said No charge , the supplier should have covered his product but since they didn't he would stand behind his work . Great Guy Great Crew Great Company In A Flash Rick Gambacort

BBB dose nothing for the consumer

my response to BBB's answer to what they do regarding Complaint ID: 20369811 tells it all.

i appreciate your clarification. i now realize that the BBB's only purpose and ability is to forward a complaint ,

there was a time, long long ago, when the BBB actually intervened for the wronged consumer, even though they had no enforcement authority back then either, but at that time in our distant history, the BBB would actually lower a rating, and a quality company never wanted that to happen.

i do see your point with your "first of all" explanation that you shared, and i now see why BBB has evolved into noting more than a paper pushing process. after all how can the BBB lower Best Buys rating of A+ when they have a whopping one star rating from the consumer / review process, and are averaging 4500 complaints per year over the past 4-yers, all being displayed on the BBB website. guess the BBB doesn't even look at it's own data, interesting.

i really appreciate your getting me on the correct track, i understand now that going forward if i would ever need an advocate again, it would be useless to bring the matter to the attention of the BBB, after all i can just send my complaint usually via email, but with the longest method of communication i could actually mail a complaint as well. thank you so much for keeping me from wasting time if i am ever in this situation again

Someone created a fraudulent profile of…

Someone created a fraudulent profile of our company. They cannot provide any evidence of who created the profile. The profile has the address and phone number our company has NEVER used. They do not check or verify company profiles for accuracy. Several customers have forwarded positive reviews they have posted. Of course they don't show up. Only negative ones on the fraudulent profile. Communication with the BBB to correct the situation have been meet with casual interest. The BBB is no longer a viable consumer organization. Sad. They used to be a trusted venue.

They should give themselves an "F" rating

I've tried to deal with them on several occasions when businesses in various parts of the country have tried to rip us off, and every time it's the same performative BS. You file a complaint, they send it on to the buisness, give it them a chance to respond, and even if there is no resolution they close the case. Don't even bother with this useless process. It's a total waste of time. I don't even know why this organization still exists.

BBB not to be trusted

BBB not to be trusted, there are many companies like Angi Ads formally Angies List or Leaf Filter that have a large number of complaints. Angi Ads was revoke from the BBB website, but we all have learned in the past just give the BBB money and they will change it, Angi is not revoke anymore but not a F either, they still have all the complaints but no F same situation with Leaf Filter tons of complaints but no F rating. Makes you wonder how legit the BBB really is.

bbb.org is not neutral agency as everyone believe is

Hi,
I have been using BB for very long time, and thought its trustworthy review place.
Until i had issue with a company, and file a report to BBB. Not only they dont create a case, and they simply closed the case, and DID not bother to post it at all. Claiming that company in Vancouver . BC is correct. After few email exchange, they even admit that they follow other company policy
Now i understand those review are faked, and BBB is funded by local business. So basically they care about the local business more than other. Go to wikipedia, they are tellling the truth, BBB are supported by local business. Basically its a show to make you feel that it is a neutral entity. In fact, they are giving bias to whoever paid more locally.
If they are big or gave enough fund, they dont bother create a case, NOR POST that complain or view on BBB. Basically they will remove bad review on behalf of the business they support.

Therefore BBB.org is NO longer a neutral. Hope more people can see it.
I was searching for bad practice from google, i have to tried multiple times, and go back many pages. Finally found this page. Now i understand im not the only person found out bbb.org is not a neutral agency. We are all train to believe bbb.org is credible agency. In fact, they are helping those who funded them most to remove bad complains.

So sad but truth until you found out the "neutral" bbb.org is not what most people think its.
Hope more people realized, and found out the bad side of bbb.org
Have a good day for those see it here! :D

BBB,Another waist of space

BBB,Another waist of space. Is this the new normal procedure nowadays? Yeah just ignore/do not respond, to everyones genuine complaints. When one has been ripped off for a substantial amount of money, just sling them a rubber ear/ignore, which is shocking & unacceptable, I'm not impressed. :-( :-(

You're wasting your time completely using these people The only thing they do is use our complaints give them to the business so the business can try to pretend to better themselves and then they pay the better business bureau for the information. The better business bureau is not for the consumer they are a rip off they are a scam
