BBB is totally untrustworthy
BBB is totally untrustworthy. If you write a review on a company that they represent. Your complaint and review will be removed. Not reputable
Disappointed with the BBB – Not What It Claims to Be
As the owner of KeepMoving Logistics, I’m extremely disappointed with how the Better Business Bureau operates. Despite our efforts to resolve customer issues professionally and promptly, the BBB consistently presents our company in a misleading light, often without considering the full context or verifying facts accurately.
We’ve responded to every complaint submitted and offered reasonable resolutions, including refunds and internal corrective actions. However, many of our updates and explanations are either ignored or downplayed, while reviews and complaints — even those based on misunderstandings or one-sided claims — remain public and unbalanced.
The BBB does not function as a truly neutral or supportive platform for businesses. It feels more like a tool used to amplify negative feedback without accountability or any real vetting process. Their rating system lacks transparency, and their platform gives no meaningful opportunity for business owners to represent their side of the story effectively.
We strongly encourage other business owners to be cautious when relying on the BBB’s reputation. Their model seems outdated and unfair, especially for small businesses trying to provide honest service in a competitive market.
The BBB is not for the customer anymore
The BBB is for the business not the customer. They did absolutely nothing for me. What is the point of having them if they are not working for us?
BBB is toilet paper...
Just about every company that is in their system has an A+ rating despite there being no possibility, by the bad reviews in sheer number falling far below any reasonable grade even resembling the grade. College would have been so much easier if they used this grading system, because you could not show up a single day and expect a 4.0.
With no human working WORTHLESS
With no human working online anymore what good is the BBB? THERE IS NO WAY TO GET HELP FROM THEM ANYMORE... COMPANIES THAT ARE NO GOOD ALSO KNOW THIS... SO THEY KNOW THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING THEY WANT NOW..... THE GOV'T NEEDS TO REMOVE EVERY ONLINE BUSINESS AND DISCUSSION SITES...
Useless and impotent
Useless and impotent. A waste of your time. They will write a letter to the scammer on your behalf. If the said scammer doesn't reply, that's it. You might as well ask your mommy to do it.
The services they provide
The services they provide, they can't even provide. I start a claim that goes no where because the fraudulent company lies and says otherwise without proof and you have proof but then they say claim is closed and they are satisfied with the business efforts witch is responding twice with lies and no proof and that your proof and complaint are irrelevant to the end decisions because they where atleast willing to lie as a response. What a failure of a consept and I will never utilize this service again as it was just a waste of time that only served to annoy me further.
Don't believe anything they say. Scam website.
BBB is a complete scam. Their ratings are complete BS. Anyone can complain on their site about you without any proof, even if they are in a different province and you've never dealt with them.
BBB offered a membership to AAA auto…
BBB offered a membership to AAA auto club as part of our initial membership, which I joined. Then I started getting calls from local agents at AAA NW Arkansas for insurance quotes. The policies they offered were fraudulent and we were uninsured on our home for 3 months and the agent never notified us that the underwriter for our homeowner policy had not approved it. (First premium already paid). When I requested a copy of the policy they sent a notice that the policy had been cancelled. Truth was they never approved it. No refund. And we still are fighting with them for pulling premiums on our car insurance which we cancelled in January (it is June now). If BBB aligns with this type of business, I don't respect the organization and will soon cancel my membership with them. .
I was very pleased with the service.
I was very pleased with the service I received from BBB. They were efficient and helpful. They communicated with me promptly and answered any questions without delay.
My complaint has been resolved, which is a satisfying outcome.

I have subscribed to the BBB in my business. I went to check on a supplier that has an A+ rating. They had 32 reviews; every review was 1 star. Yet they still have an A+ rating. What a disservice to people who trust their ratings.
Use the BBB with caution
Sometimes the BBB can be helpful, but other times it will side on the side of the business or keep asking you to work with the business to find a resolution, regardless if you have enough proof the business was wrong or that you have repeatedly tried to rectify things with the business. Even though it is a non-profit organization that appears to be on the side of the consumer, it is funded by the businesses that are listed on their website. You can find instances of where companies have 1000 complaints but still have an A+ rating, which is unrealistic! The businesses know that if they resolve the issue with the company it helps retain their high rating and that even a certain percentage of not resolving the issue will still retain their high rating. Apparently, the BBB doesn't include any aspect of the number of complaints as a reason to reduce the rating, nor does it include any aspect of the severity of the issue.
I have had some success with using the BBB, but I can think of at least two occasions where any reasonable person would have sided against the business and yet the BBB simply respond that I needed to give the business a chance. No amount of proof that I had given the business a chance and then some, and then some more, and then some more, got the BBB to find in my favor. I do realize that the BBB can't force the business to do anything, but they certainly could have found against the business and affect their rating so others could make a properly informed decision.
make up your own mind
They’re over here, shilling credentials they’re given companies that are no good A*
because they pay, this is very disappointing. people think they’re affiliated with the government. They hear BBB they’re like. Oh yeah they’re good. No, it’s a private business.

The BBB markets accreditation to consumers as a sign of trust, but in reality, it’s a transactional relationship:
• Pay the fee → Agree to vague “Standards” → Get the badge and often better ratings
ABC’s 20/20 exposed this in 2010 by getting a fake terrorist group accredited as a joke — because they paid.

The Better Business Bureau scam
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) operates under the false pretense of being an official regulatory body, when in reality it is a private U.S. nonprofit with no legal authority over any business. Despite this, they create unsolicited business profiles, publish unverified complaints, and use biased ratings to manipulate public perception — often pressuring companies into paid “accreditation” to improve their image. This exploitative system amounts to reputation coercion, misleading consumers and harming businesses without due process or accountability, making their practices ethically corrupt and legally questionable.

My name was public disclosed by BBB without my consent. I have never received any email verification from BBB. Several of my company staff names were falsified published without consent. BBB is known for Privacy violation, falsified statements, and data breach, without obtaining authorization. They charge companies for verification to scam their money. They only publish bad reviews.

Customer completely frauded by a company, BBB is absolutely WORTHLESS at helping with anything. Is this another people funded (ie stolen taxes) company. BBB is a JOKE.
Delaware BBB's Director is Incredibly Rude
The level of shady business practices, irresponsible and unprofessional bedside manners, and the full dismissal of consumer concerns by this BBB is astounding.
I spoke with Tammy Jeandell, a Director at this BBB, in May 2024 regarding a complaint. I have extensive business with the bank, Chase, all which can have individual issues and some of which have resulted in separate BBB cases. I explained that I have never received a response from Chase regarding the specific concern in my case, and Chase has never provided a response on the same through the case, as she can clearly see. Because of this, she agreed to have the case changed to “Unanswered” or “Unresolved” in May 2024. At the time, she said this status change may encourage a response from Chase.
I then see almost 10 months later, when looking up the business as I still did not receive a response, that the BBB quietly changed my complaint to “Answered”. The BBB supposedly sent an email in September 2024 letting me know this, but it was never received (this may be an issue with Gmail or the BBB, but I’ve never had issues receiving an email). This BBB changed the status based on a continued empty response from the business stating that they responded to me, which they never did, and continuing not to provide proof that they responded (as it doesn’t exist. Apparently, proof doesn't matter and will never be requested from their business partners as the BBB will take the business' empty word above anything else).
When I spoke with Tammy today, she answered the phone hostilely saying she was short staffed. I said I could wait for a callback, but she wanted to move forward with my issue. It then became clear that her and her team blindly sided with the business and could care less that I never received a response. She miscategorized my complaint and refused to change it, then refused to explain how the business answered my concern. I then asked to speak with her manager, and she said her manager will be gone on medical leave for months... I said I would wait, and she said she refused to raise my complaint to her manager without explaining why and hung up.
The BBB is supposed to be neutral. There is nothing neutral about an office protecting businesses blindly (of course, Chase, with a large amount of complaints, *surprisingly* has no negative case statuses against it. I’m aware that these businesses fund the BBB but I didn’t know that the BBB could be so corrupt to protect their funding partners while blaming consumers). These complaints affect consumers, not the BBB staff, and it shows. Tammy waiving off my concern, refusing to forward to her manager, and proving that her BBB has no standards tells you everything you need to know.
