There’s a reason BBQ guys come up first…

There’s a reason BBQ guys come up first in every search for grills. They truly are the one stop shop! They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable with no high pressure sales tactics. Shipping was lightning fast and smooth. They have a large inventory *including newly updated models that are hard to find elsewhere.

Started off good

Started off good , great communication, fast shipping and delivery . Open the box assembled grill and no drip tray, how is there no drip tray , chatted with customer service to be told I have to contact cuisenart myself for a replacement part, replacement?? I need the actual piece , not a replacement !! She then offered to contact them herself but would likely take a longer time . I’m confused with this type of service with a brand new customer. I’ll never shop here again
Update … I feel the need to change my initial review as this company rectified the issue . I was contacted by a manager of some sort and handled my issue with great respect and understanding, I’ve read so many poor reviews and had a tough experience myself but they did fix the issue , so for that they deserve an update on this review , went from 1 star to now 5 and I will consider shopping with them again

Several things are wrong

Several things are wrong.

My bad, I did not look closely at the tabletop when ordering. Upon delivery, I realized it was an awful, busy design. I asked to return the set and was told the return cost would be $700!! No where on their website or on my order confirmation was it mentioned the shipping/return cost was $700 (yes, you get to pay for their “free” shipping if you return an item). IF I bought another set they would reduce the return shipping cost to $352.

Additionally, they shipped three boxes that were about 8’ high. And heavy! How on earth am I supposed to get the top two and three boxes to ground level? I’ll have to hire a forklift.

I chatted with a BBQ Guys rep and was told reviews were reviewed by supervisors. Doubt this get published.

They're a scam company

They're a scam company. I ordered one smoker, they sent three and charged for three. When I called CS I was told I ordered three not one. I asked to return the other two, after a few weeks of back and forth with CS I was told I would have to pay return shipping. But when l received return instructions I was informed that I would also have to pay the original shipping price as well as the return shipping price even though shipping was advertised as free on orders over $40 purchase. There were other reviews that stated similar scams by sending more than one product then not refunding money even when products were returned. Shady, dishonest business practice. Avoid this sham company at all costs!

Claims MADE IN USA - Actually MADE IN CHINA

When I purchased a Weber grill from them in May, the BBQ website stated it was "Made in USA" (a claim they have since removed). This detail was a key factor in my decision to buy. However, the product is actually made in China (see attached picture). I made several attempts to contact BBQ for clarification but received no response. Eventually, I filed a dispute through PayPal, which finally prompted a response. BBQ (I spoke with Jackie) assured me that if I closed the dispute, they would refund $250 of the purchase price. I agreed and closed the dispute, but they failed to issue the promised refund despite multiple follow-ups.

Putting everything else aside, this unit does not reflect the Weber quality I've come to expect and the BBQ website does a poor job representing the quality. It's evident that this is a cheaply made product (as noted by others), with large gaps and a noticeable lack of structural strength and rigidity.

No Responsibility!

BBQGuys does not take responsibility for the outdoor refrigerator I purchased that does not get colder than 37.5* - even though I have it set to 32*.

It came with a warranty but apparently the unit not working properly is not "warrantable". What is then?!?

The manufacturer says I could (at my immense cost) schedule a return, secure on a pallet, and they will test - of course without my being there to witness.

Buy local, not from these "Guys"!!!

BEWARE! Ordered from BBQGUYS

Ordered from BBQGUYS, product did NOT ship “in 48 hours as advertised “. In fact well over a month later, still hasn’t shipped and won’t respond to my refund request. Total scam. Read Reddit and see all the people out 100s and 1000s of dollars for product never shipped months later.

Deceptive ads

Sends multiple ads to email and pop-up ads while searching online with deceptive discounts which don't apply to the items they advertise in the ad since small print in a separate link excludes all popular items. Waste of customer time who then needs to remove items from their cart by accessing it from their email (more wasted time). Bought from a reputable retailer for same price.

My Victory Grill has been great…

My Victory Grill has been great BUT.....

I needed to get replacement grates since the ones I have are rusting and was told that they have no part for it, and never will since it was discontinued. Now the grill is still for sale and advertised with a lifetime warranty but according to customer service that warranty is worthless now that it is discontinued. it is a bummer as I have no complaint about the grill beyond the grates rusting.

Be aware of their terrible return policy or get fleeced

I constructed an outdoor kitchen and paid BBQ Guys almost $7,000 for various pieces of equipment This included an outdoor refrigerator that cost $971.99. The equipment arrived well before the project was ready for it to be installed, so I left the equipment in its original boxes for several weeks. When I opened the refrigerator box, the door fell off onto the floor. The unit was dented in many places. The bottom door hinge was bent downward. I contact BBQ Guys and sent them pictures of the fridge and its broken elements with the box and packaging materials to show that I had just opened it. Their response was: sorry, you have to point out all damage within five days of delivery. They offered to send me replacement parts so I can have someone else at my expense repair the garbage they sent me. I hae a good mind to sue them for fraud. Beware doing business with this company.

Lousy quality tools, terrible return policies.

I bought two high-end rosewood handled BBQ tools. When they same neither tool had rivets that were working properly to hold the handles steady on the steel tools. So far I've "applied" online to return them for a refund (Customer Service was closed at 4 pm PDT on a Friday afternoon). Oh, by the way - their policy is to charge the customer for shipping in BOTH directions, even though the problem is because of them not me and even though I got "Free Shipping" to me (because of the size of my order). This is a very "last century" company (not in a good way) and I emphatically exhort you not to buy their products nor deal with them. Their policies are "heads I win, tails you lose" - (not) sorry customer. No way to run a business. Stay away from them!!!

UPDATE: They refunded my purchase price and did not require me to return the defective tools - so no shipping cost after all. GOOD SOLUTION!

Poor Customer Service

I recently purchased an "Americana by Meco 2 in 1 Water Smoker" from BBQ Guys. I used it a total of three times and experienced a recurring issue with the electrical connection on the heating element cutting in and out. The only remedy for this was for someone to stand over the smoker and manually hold the connection in place which doesn't make for a very pleasant cooking experience on a hot summer evening.

I contacted their customer service department in the hope that they would offer some solution, perhaps a replacement part, that would solve the problem and make the smoker usable. Unfortunately they replied with a form e-mail informing me that I was past the thirty day return window, basically telling me "sorry your smoker doesn't work, but hey, better luck next time." Needless to say I won'd be doing business with them again.

I'm not shocked by poor, inattentive customer service these days, but I do feel it's appropriate and helpful to warn others about it.

Misleading Customer Service

I received the Victory 3-Burner Propane Gas Grill With Infrared Side Burner as a gift and could not exchange it for a different grill. All exchanges must be made on unassembled, unused products. After spending 3+ hours to assemble this gift, this was not a happy thing to receive. I do not recommend the experience that BBQGuys offers.

Bought 2 Blaze 21 electric grills with…

Bought 2 Blaze 21 electric grills with 5 year extended warranty. Come to find out, warranty is no good on discontinued products. They give you the warranty, keep the money and hope you don't have a problem. When you do have a problem and they know it can't be fixed, they say you get a refund. This works out to be over $100 they pocket and hope you forget it. Before I purchased warranty, they said they would come to my house and fix all problems. Never said manufacturer 10 year warranty is no good on discontinued products. Buy from local dealers near you.
