A zero wouldn’t be low enough, I’d rate negatively 0 if I could.

Well since I was wrong and you are still using the BCExpress name, and scamming people still, it is my duty to provide an honest review, so that nobody else ever gets scammed by you again.

Now we’ve gone a few round's, so let me make a few things clear. 1-I’m not afraid of you 2-I will take you to court if you continue to slander my name when replying to this review 3-Don’t once again lie about me and say I didn’t pay, or ripped you off, I can prove I did none of those things and I won’t have you dismiss my very legitimate complaint with lies. I know how you operate, and I’m not scared one bit.

I hired this company to move me from BC to AB in sept 2023. I paid the deposit up front like I was told, and that the rest would be due upon delivery. Pick up was set for September 30th, and we had everything packed in Rubbermaids ready to go. Brand new rubbermaids bought just for this move.

The truck shows up on time, but once they get out of the truck things changed rapidly. I was handed a sheet of prices for the cost of packing my belongings, I told them I don’t need that I had told James my contact everything was done already. This made the guy really angry at me, and his other mover too. You could feel the tension and you could see they weren’t being gentle.

Once the truck was loaded the driver then demanded $500 or he’d unload the truck. This was never mentioned to me and I said no and asked why, and was told because that’s the deal. He called someone to talk sense into me, and in the end I knew I couldn’t unload and stay, so I had to pay and they go.

What I didn’t know then, that I do know now, is the driver was the owner of the company. I’ve connected with a ton of people on Reddit that have exact same stories as myself and others, right down to the owner pretending not to be.

We knew it would be a few days before our belongings arrived, so we had prepared with air mattress etc. almost immediately before delivery they started emailing me demanding final payment. This began a long chain of emails of me saying I’m not paying until that truck pulls up. They threatened to not deliver, I made the payment, and later learned it was paid to a completely different company because BCExpress is a broker!!! They farm your stuff out to the cheapest company, without care for your belongings.

When my belongings finally arrived I thought “that’s it we’re done” and I go out to meet the driver, and show him where he can back the truck up. All the tenants use it, plus my husband works for the company where we live. The driver flat out refused and without trying or even a thought just no. He then tells me he has to charge me a fee for the workers having to walk so far (which would have been negated if he just backed up where he was supposed to, he could have backed right up to my door). I ask how much and he says he has to go calculate, comes back and says $400, and I about laughed in his face but he was serious. I said no way of course, and the driver threatened me that they would just take my stuff back to the warehouse; despite the fact that I had paid my bill in full. So I cave on the $400 fee and he demands it in cash, and I said no credit and he got so annoyed and kept trying to convince me. Finally he got the point and got the thing to run my card, and only came back when it was approved.

Once they had my money they began unloading, and as I see my belongings come in I notice 1-They are tossing them around like it belongs to them 2-90% of my brand new Rubbermaids were cracked or broken in some way. I start asking what happened, because it looked like they loaded the truck and took it for a joy ride. They have zero answers for me as they continue to ding my walls and hardwood. They offered to take the beds upstairs for another fee and I refused, despite the fact that my husband and I are disabled and it would be hard for us; I was done giving them my money.

The movers attitude continued the whole time they unloaded, one kept spitting near my step over and over, another was being so disrespectful with my stuff, and in his responses to me. I slammed the door when they left, and the mover swore at me and left.

When I did an inventory I am thankful that I packed things well and nothing important got damaged inside them. But when I went to look at my daughter’s bed frame they had bent it the opposite way it goes and broke it. My deep freeze looks like someone was just scratching it. They caved in the back of my keyboard which I only recently noticed when attempting to sell it. There was a fist size hole punched through the back of my daughter’s mattress. Broke the arm of my couch etc

This company’s way of responding was to attack my character, claim I’m a liar, claim I was a Karen etc. I was and am none of those things. They are bullies thinking you’ll be too scared. Well I’m not!! I have receipts so….what should have cost $1800 was $2300 one word….RUN! Use someone else, cheap = broken stuff

If I could give NO STARS, I would

If I could give NO STARS, I would. Terrible experience from start to finish. Once we gave the deposit there was very little communication. I can honestly say this company is the worst communicators I have ever experienced in my entire life. I was following up about payment, delivery, questions about items, etc. and it took them at least a week+ for them to get back to me about anything. Non stop excuses, we couldn’t even get a confirmation email saying they received the questions/information and will get back to us ASAP. Just radio silence for way too long at a time. I can certainly send screenshots and proof if anyone needs it. Absolutely pathetic. And the amount of damage and missing items was unrealistic. They lost very crucial items to a $2k driving rig and said it wasn’t their problem. When it comes to rigs, you have to buy a kit, you can’t just buy a few of their items individually. Side tables completely broken into 17 pieces. Let that sink in. 17 pieces. Nothing was handled with care. I have been moving these same items from province to province for 7 years and they have always been around the 2,000lb mark (I even have invoices and paperwork from other companies showing the weight) however BC Express Movers claims that our items were 2,800lbs. We we’re floored to find this out. We have a professional warehouse grade scale and the items were approx 2,194lbs according to our own weighing of everything. I made a point to weight everything ourselves once it arrived. We don’t believe they were honest about anything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. Pay the extra money and get a proper moving company to do the work. I have lived in 4 different countries overt the past 11 years and this is by far the worst company in general I have ever experience. Scamming criminals who will tell you that you’re the problem.

Worst moving Company! Never use these guys!
Moving is stressful enough on its own. When my dad passed away, I made the difficult decision to move to be closer to my mom. I booked BC Express Movers, not realizing I should have done more research beforehand. I trusted the process, and unfortunately, it turned into one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had.
First, my bank account was frozen due to suspicious activity related to the transaction. The original quote I was given was $1,800 for 2,000 pounds, and it included a fuel surcharge. However, I was later charged $739.20 for fuel on top of a final bill of $5,080.
About two hours before the movers were supposed to arrive, I got a call asking if I had “only 30 boxes.” I explained that I had much more: a bed, a wardrobe, two chests, a BBQ, work ladders, and a large number of boxes. The response was simply, “Oh, we’ll see when we get there.”
When the truck arrived, it was already over three-quarters full. Because of this, not all of my belongings could be loaded. I had to leave items on the street for people to take for free—items that held real value and meaning to me. Among the things left behind or damaged were:
* 3 ft bench: $300
* 2 ft bench: $200
* Brand new BBQ: $300
* 5-step ladder: $129
* 3-step ladder: $90
* Snow shovels: $30
* Work tools (scraper, push broom): $100
* Planters: $100
* Shop vac: $130
* 55” TV: $300
* 45” TV: $250
* TV stand: $50
* My hope chest, handmade by my dad—priceless
Some boxes were clearly labeled “fragile” and were squished or mishandled.
While the movers were loading the truck, one of them kept asking if I was okay. I told him no—I wasn’t okay—because so many of my things weren’t going to fit. His response? Repeating, “They’re just things.” That comment was incredibly insensitive. These weren’t just things—they were my belongings, full of personal and sentimental value, especially after losing my dad.
To add to the stress, the mover insisted I pay in cash, promising a 5% discount if I did. I actually went to the bank to try and withdraw the money, but thankfully, the banking system was down, and I wasn’t able to take out the cash. Looking back, I’m relieved that the system failure protected me from handing over untraceable payment.
And finally, I’ve been waiting since May 11 for a copy of my final invoice. Despite repeated follow-ups, I still haven’t received one. Fortunately, I took a photo of the invoice before the movers left—without that, I’d have no record of the transaction or the unexpected charges.
What was supposed to be a step toward healing and support turned into an emotionally exhausting and disappointing experience. I’m sharing my story so others can be more cautious and informed when choosing a moving company.

BC Express Movers

BC Express Movers
This company is worst like anything, team of unprofessional staff and they are good in misbehaving and lying. They have picked my stuff from Montreal and committed that stuff will be delivered withing 7-16 Days and later when they have picked and took the advance money statement has been changed and started saying that once dispatched. They delivered after 1 Month 28 Days and that too they have broken my computer table in two pieces and now there claim policy is 3-8 weeks.

Guys never trust as they will give lower quote and later you will be surprised with actual quotes.
Highly unprofessional and never trust this company.

BC expresss team -FYI .... I am going to leave a daily review here and will find some other places too until i get my claimed money for my loss.

Excessive delivery time and many stolen boxes

Took 40 days to deliver (they had promised 7 business days), in that time a number of boxes of items went missing, although their delivery person pretended to be delivering the entire inventoried list. Missing items included bedding, small appliances, cutlery, knives, toolbox and miscellaneous small tools, small electronics (remote controls, cables for the TV, DVD player, batteries) 3 bicycle helmets, CDs and book collections. Their insurance coverage/deductible allows for 833 pounds of goods to be damaged or go missing before they have to pay their stated claim rate of $.60 a pound above the 833 pounds. They said they didn't owe me anything under the terms of their insurance, but as a good will would offer $130. I could understand this insurance if it applied to damaged items but not theft. Poor security and likely an inside job.
