Purchased a beat, added the hooks and bars and released the song through Landr. So far so good and issues here were my biggest concern. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did feel like t... See more

Worst experience ever! I was told I would be paid for training to review songs. I did as I was told with no idea what I was even doing and never got paid I just got blocked by costumer service and I now have no idea what I even did or what’s going on and I can’t speak to anyone or delete my account.
The community is amazing with great people

Last year (2023), along with the implementation of "Service Fees" of 12% on Marketplace sales, Beatstars users were promised that these Fees were going to be used for bug fixes, in addition to stability of the website.
After a year, none of this has happened, but the Service Fees are still there.
Today, the page is still full of bugs and instability.
· Bugs in almost every aspect of the Beats upload
· When playing the beats
· Problems also with payments (something that Beatstars defends by saying that it is Paypal's problem or ours)
· Almost daily instability on the website, with constant server crashes.
· They have upgraded the UI/UX, implementing the "Studio" as the main tool for creators, but this has led to even more bugs.
· There are no longer opportunities to send beats to later be added to official playlists.
· Always the same people on the main page.
· Not long ago there was a huge problem with bots, which spammed users' notifications and private messages for 3 days.
And I could go on and on...
Beatstars, Abe, and all the stuff working on the page. Please finally listen to the users who feed you and keep the platform alive.
There are many of us who don't care about new implementations if the service is constantly bugged or down, we just want real improvements and solutions.

I’ve been dealing with this company for over six months, and their customer support is absolutely terrible, especially Maggie. They promise payouts within 2 weeks (business days), but every single time, they fail to deliver. Instead, I’m constantly brushed off with automatic replies and generic excuses.
What’s worse is that each support agent seems to handle my issue differently. Some try to help, while others, like Maggie, seem to brush me off just because they don’t feel like working. It’s completely inconsistent and frustrating. It’s shameful to call this "support" – it’s more like a constant runaround. If you value your time and money, avoid this service.

Just be careful if you're buying beats from them as there is no guarantee the beats will be legally obtained or free of copyright. In fact, it's already established that many beats they sell will contain unlicenced and 'stolen' beats from uncleared sources, as they don't check any beats for originality and, as it turns out, don't agree to cover any such losses where unlicenced beats have been sold. Which is fine as long as your music isn't going to make any money. The moment it does, however, there's a good chance that publishers will come out of the woodwork asking for their cut from a beat you never knew belonged to them.
This has been highlighted in the case of independent artist Ren's 'Sickboi' which he has had to take down due to a third party coming out of the woodwork to claim on a beat he legally purchased from BeatStars, and which has cost him a substantial amount of money.
All fans of Ren have now lost this track if they bought a streamed album or single containing the track, unless they downloaded it. Although not having bought a track from BeatStars (and probably won't now) I, and all fans, have a personal loss from the loss of this track which is largely due to the fact that artists can legally buy beats from this platform and yet still have no certainty over what they have bought.
There are many factors in this case, but Beatstars, as the intermediary between the person selling the beat and the person buying the beat, surely need to take more responsibility or penalise offenders selling 'stolen' beats much harsher than they do at present. Otherwise, what is the point of using them if, when you are lucky to have a track that makes any money, you get shafted by the system.
So, for all artists buying beats and hoping to make money from their music, get yourself some legal agreement from BeatStars or the producer of the beat to ensure you don't get shafted later.

It is a pleasure to sell beats on Beatstars because of the great marketplace, fantastic customer support, and slick UI.

I used Beatstars from Day 1. Used to generate a very significant amount of sales. They used to offer placement and playlist submission opportunities, used to promote their subscribers, etc. They have done a complete 180. They don’t offer any of that anymore and only push their in-house production now. I highly recommend saving your $20/month

Beatstars has been going down for over 5 years now.
The message system is extremely limited to where users can't link emails and/ or social links, but Beatstar uses all of the social links on those platforms without question. Blocks end users from trying to connect for their job, like what the actual f^%$.
Scamming is out of control. People will purchase top selling beat leases, then turn around and sell them. Beatstars will never alert the feud that is taking place. I noticed it when someone accidentally said I was stealing leases, but the person got the name wrong when messaging.
People are purchasing beats, and reselling them for cheaper, while Beatstars never notifies the original owner of the material.
To make Beatstars better, the owner needs to sell it, fire everyone currently working there. The only thing it has going for it, is its name. The service is so overrun with gimmicks, the real objective is forgotten. And that is for producers to make money from their creativity.
Beatstars owners should be absolutely assumed.
