Poor service
I bought a Groupon for 6 sessions of laser hair removal treatment at this salon. When I came for the assessment, the therapist shaved a patch on my leg dry and did the test. It was red and itchy after, but I couldn't tell whether it was from the dry shaving (which normally happens) or the laser (the staff never asked about the test or assessed the results). After the first session I had red patches all over my legs and itchiness non stop for about a week. As I've never done it before, I though maybe I was just a bit sensitive. I had my second session as normal after which I got severe reaction, not just red patches this time, but bumps and itchiness which lasted for about a week, but the marks are still not fully gone after almost 3 months. I did religiously followed the advice (no lotions for at least 48h before the treatment, no sun exposure). I send pictures of my legs to the salon and when I came for 3rd session they decided not to proceed with it until the marks are gone and advice to see in a month. They also said the higher management was looking into my case to decide what to do with me and that they'd contact me. They never did (for over 5 weeks) until I contacted them asking what the decision was. They said I shouldn't continue and offered me to use other treatments. Since they left me with scars I was quite reluctant to do anything in that place. I asked if a refund of the 4 unused sessions is an option, but they refused. Groupon instead, was really helpful and offered a refund, they juts needed a written confirmation I couldn’t continue. The salon refused although it didn’t cost them anything. They were ignoring my emails and when they were replying it was usually a word or two quite rude in my opinion. One member of the staff- Shelly – was really friendly and nice, but I still wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Please AVOID!!
Hi everyone i want to share my story on here so innocent people are aware. This business is only thinking how to rip people off.
I placed an order on 3rd October 2018. I spoke to the receptionist on 08.10.18 to book me an appointment for wash, cut and blow-dry with half head of highlights. Within the flow of the conversation I mentioned that I used their service a year ago and the lady said that I cannot use their service as I have already used them. So I asked her if I could speak to the manager and left my contact number. She didn't call me, so I called back again on the 09.10.18 and spoke to the manager also I read out their fine print (terms and conditions) which states on the voucher " may be repurchased every 4 months" like I said earlier I used them a year ago. She goes to me that this is not their terms and conditions it's Groupons. And if I want to use their service I would not get it for the voucher amount there will be additional cost. So my argument was and now is this is miss leading information for the customers. As a customer it should of clearly stated that this is Groupon's terms and conditions but Please read the merchants conditions. If I only knew then I would not of purchased this and waste my time. It's completely miss leading, and terrible customer service. This voucher has not been redeemed yet and after that I asked her to give me a refund. She suggested that I should contact Groupon customer service to claim my refund. Absolutely disgrace service from Beauty on the Spot. Their intention is how to con innocent people off. The only reason I wanted to use them as it was close to my work. But they just want to make money. I won't even give a 1 star. The manager was bitter and cold and full of crap be honest with you. As a customer you would read the the fine print would you think wait a minute this is Groupons terms and conditions not the merchants. How was I supposed to know this? Guys keep out of this scum business.
Great service!
Great service and great customer service, always very welcoming.
I'm on my 3 session of laser hair removal and would definitely recommend Beauty On the Spot!
Great place
Great place. Clean, hygienic and well organized.
Staff is polite and respectful.
Laure is a.fantastic massage therapist.
The customer service is appalling here
The customer service is appalling here. I come for laser treatments and although they do cheap deals, it is a really painful experience trying to book anything in. They have no manners at the front desk and will answer the phone while taking payment. Every appointment I have done, they have been running 15 mins late without notice or apology. This salon looks good and has some lovely treatments on offer but the staff let them down. If I were the owner/investor in this company, i would take a look at the staff. Everything seems to be difficult for them. Making an appointment and answering the phone is rule number 1 in a service industry like this. Advice: dont put out more groupon vouchers to the public if you cant service your customers
Love this place, great value great staff
You know this place is good when you will go 30 minutes out of your way to get your feet done.
I love this place, simple, smart, clean, good value for money with friendly staff. i found this place on Groupon about a year ago and have kept going back.
Lovely team who are friendly and always make you feel welcome without chatting the whole way through your treatment. Its really good value for the treatments you get I would recommend it to anyone.
The worst body treatment I've ever had
I had a G5 massage treatment at the Beauty on the Spot in Monument in London. I love beauty treatments and I’ve had G5 treatments on my legs before so I was quite glad when I found a place that was offering a package of 6 treatments, just around a corner from the office I work. I haven’t imagine that I would be as disappointed as I am now and it was the worst treatment I've ever had.
A bit of the background. G5 treatment is done using 5 different massaging heads in around 45 minutes. My treatment with your therapist took barely 8 minutes and she only used 2 out of 5 G5 heads. It’s a spam and you should avoid going to this place under all circumstances. The company offers their own short version of the treatment which perhaps they could call G2 but in my opinion it’s definitely not something they should sell as a G5 treatment if it takes you 8 minutes to complete and you only use 2 massaging heads... The treatment is called G5 as there are 5 interchangeable heads which they clearly do not use. For more information on this treatment you can watch some YouTube videos - definitely not what Beauty on the spot offers!
Although, I’ve made a formal written complaint and requested to cancel the additional five G5 massages that I paid for the management of the company still haven’t provided me with any response. The way they treat their Clients is disgusting and I hope that they will get closed down as this kind of places should not exist. Honestly, I would not recommend it to anyone to even consider going there. Look elsewhere or you will end up as disappointed as I am now! On top of that, I read on their website that they ‘do not offer refunds’ so I will most likely waste over £200 as I do not want to return there.
The best blowdry in London
The best blowdry in London! Love this place and will not go anywhere else to get my hair done. They also do a great pedicure :)
Came to Bots for laser treatment
Came to Bots for laser treatment. The service was great. Dee and her colleagues are amazing. The treatment was personalised and the staff were always friendly and prompt
Really great service from the team
Really great service from the team, the cavitation and laser were both effective as I'm seeing differences in my body shape and contour! The times were a little tricky due to my work schedule but we made it work regularly. Dee is a fantastic person who is always accommodating to my needs and very informative!
AVOID
AVOID. RUDE. MONEY GRABBING. UNPROFESSIONAL.
The manicure was budget as ever. Used antibacterial as a treatment for my hands and did not use bonder before putting the gel on.
When I booked my pedicure on the phone, I asked for the price. The receptionist asked me where I had found them before answering my question - immediately suspicious. I then chose to book a manicure for myself and a friend the next day as I did not have time that evening and was made to pay on the spot for the services the next day. I also did not receive the 10% off for referring a friend as advertised so obviously on the wall.
When my friend went in to pay the next morning as requested by the receptionist, she was told that to remove her nail polish (not gel) would be an additional £10. INSANE. Surely that should be part of the treatment? In any case, we used some nail polish remover we had in the office.
When we arrived for the manicure, I was told I hadn't booked a manicure but instead simply a file and paint. The receptionist told me that she gave me the option and I chose that - that was a lie, I needed a manicure. I was then asked to pay £10 more and by chance I checked the price list as the receptionist was about to take payment and she had overcharged me!
When I told her that this was the case, she asked me to rudely wait as she was dealing with another customer. She was literally sitting there in silence waiting for the card machine payment to go through and was evidently unable to multitask. She then realised she was wrong and offered no apology but was instead cold and rude. On the whole, staff were awkwardly formal without being professional and couldn't wait for us to leave before whispering.
DO NOT GO HERE UNTIL THERE IS NEW MANAGEMENT.
Absolutely thrilled!
Absolutely thrilled with the service! The therapists there are so kind and welcoming, always with a big smile! they make the experience really comfortable. And I am so so happy with my laser results so far!! would definitely recommend.
Awful, unprofessional place!
I would have given 0 stars if that had been an option! My booking had been messed up to begin with, which was entirely their mistake and can clearly be seen on the email thread, however nobody acknowledged this or apologised for it. In fact, while the manager spent 15 minutes ‘trying to sort it out’ her tone of voice was very defensive and she didn’t even make eye contact with me once. When I was finally shown into a treatment room the therapist started to walk into the room without knocking while I was still getting ready for my massage, then told me she couldn't give me a massage because she thought I had a 'skin condition', which is simply dry skin and is always helped by massage! I tried to explain this to her but she refused to listen. Then she couldn't understand why I was getting a little bit annoyed. She had to be asked 3 times to leave the room so that I could get dressed again. When I came out of the treatment room the manager was aggressive to the point of being threatening, and completely refused to listen to me or even let me speak! The only reason I made this appointment in the first place was to use a Living Social voucher, which they have marked as redeemed, and are now refusing to refund my money because I got angry after this catalogue of mistakes and unprofessional treatment from everyone I encountered at this place. I can’t believe they’re still in business!
Unprofessional ad very poor service
Unprofessional ad very poor service. I was charge £27 to remove and reapply normal polish very badly. The varnish still did not dry after 3 hours due to bad application and was not following the curve of my nail bed. When I came back to complain (after work) I was face with only stupidity from the person in charge. AVOID waste of money and time.
Awful experience
Awful experience
Hairdresser did not listen to what I wanted and I left with an awful haircut. After several weeks I visited a Tony and Guy salon and they said it was one of the worst cuts they had seen. It is going to take at least a year to get my hair back to normal which understandable I am very upset about.
I asked for compensation but this was refused in a not very friendly or helpful email.
Unsafe, unqualified and now suspended "laser therapist" with attitude.
If I could award them a 1/4 of a star I would! A "therapist" named Sal/Sally (now suspended) who has terrible customer service skills and a terrible attitude asked me to take off the protective eye wear during lasering and to cover my eyes with my hands! Never felt so shocked and scared at a beauticians before. I refused of course as it it dangerous, she argued that this is how she does it..I complained to the manager, who then escalated to a operations manager called Joan Patterson. She advised me Sal/Sally has been suspended but pointed out the 14 day refund policy... these are once a month appointments... firstly the "therapist" did a serious disservice to me by putting my life in danger secondly how would I had known I would be treated this way in 14 days? Joan argued I can have a different therapists however I refused to go back to an unsafe environment. The customer service at this place is dreadful, even the operation manager was rude, she hung up the phone because I asked if she could get back to me on the refund. In the end I got my money back but it took a lot of my time. They were in breach of consumer rights 2015 and they went against the content on their website where it states, protective eye wear must be worn. How disappointing. Treat your customers better so they return and don't hire people with an attitude! It will never work out well.
