Genuine company, nice customer service, slow process

I always use TrustPilot before buying from new websites, but for Beckett I got a bit too trigger-happy and got worried when I read this page.

I emailed their customer service, which answered me fairly fast. They said the item was not yet available, but they will ship it asap. I gave it 10 days and then told them I would ask for a refund from Paypal.

They thanked me for letting them know, and I got the refund.

A week later, they sent me the item (Opinel bread knife) for free 😳🙏 with a nice note thanking me for my patience.

Seems that their process is slow and could be clearer on the availability, but genuine and safe.

They take your money but don’t send the item.

I placed an order weeks ago but the item was never shipped. I emailed the company and asked for my order to be cancelled, to which they agreed. I’ve emailed them twice since then to ask for a refund but haven’t received a response or the refund. Now raising a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back.

Worst company ever, takes your money but sends nothing

I have given this company 1 star as there isn't an option yo give non!
As other reviewers have said, I wish I had read their reviews before ordering, as it is exactly what I have experienced!
Ordered an item marked as in stock n the 19th April, no contact for a week so emailed in, no reply, called in but never got my call answered so left a message, 3 times, followed by 2 more emails but still no replies and now the 30th April. Have asked for a full refund but again, no reply, so will be contacting the credit card company for a claim back, AVOID this company at all costs!!!

Really poor service

Expensive compass ordered in March, shown at the time as in stock. Payment was taken at the time of placing the order. After 10 days of silence, first email enquiry made by me, with a reply promising an "immediate" response once looked into. After another 5 days of silence I canceled the order and asked for a refund. This was responded to with an admission that the one originally shown as in stock was in fact a display model and that mine was "on its way" and that tracking info would be provided later that day. It wasn't. The following day I repeated my cancellation request (ignored) and was told that I could only be refunded if delivery was refused and once the compass was received by Becketts. The compass was finally delivered the next day, more than 2 weeks after ordering and was retained by me, only because it had been ordered as a gift for a third party. The lack of information, false promises and failure to cancel the order and refund when first requested has made me vow not to shop with Becketts again.

I wish I had read these reviews before…

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering. I ordered a camo net which was advertised on their site in a choice of 2 colours. I chose the green and paid. I received an email stating I would be advised when the item had shipped. 3 days later, still nothing. I contacted them and was told it would be with me the next day. the next day I got and email saying the item had shipped with a tracking number. The next day I checked the tracking number, Royal Mail tracking stated it had yet to be dispatched by seller. Contacting them again I received no reply. The item arrived the next day and on opening, it was the wrong product, it was Brown. Contacted them again stating they had sent the wrong item. I got a reply today stating 'jack pyke only now do the english oak unfortunately' ... no acknowledgement of being in the wrong and asked that I return it for a refund (at my expense). I immediately replied stating they were advertising 2 different products for sale, I got an immediate reply which read 'Thank you for letting me know i will now remove the other one from our site' and nothing more. Each correspondence never included a name for who was replying to me. A total lack of customer care and in my opinion it is a poorly run company which I would avoid at all costs...take your money elsewhere.

Intentionally ignored refund request

This place must be run by clowns or people who are intentionally sly. I ordered MTP trousers over a week ago, They had not even shipped them as of this morning. I emailed and told them not to bother sending them as their dispatch is abysmal, Along with that I instructed a full refund. They replied with excuses on why it has taken so long. I replied simply to read my previous email and follow the cancellation instruction. I have just had a message from the platform Shop that they have shipped the item and completely ignored my request. Don't buy from these clowns.

Awful returns process

Ordered a number of items. DHL delivery went horribly wrong, but Becketts did work hard to sort it out. But I then returned some of the items and eventually had to open a PayPal case to try and get refunded. I won't be dealing with them again.

Excellent service

Excellent service, communication and item.
A lovely handwritten thank you note in the bag was a nice touch.
… and all over the Christmas break.
Would thoroughly recommend, and I am sure I will use them again.
