Information provided by various external sources

We live in a time where digital representation is more important to most than who we actually are. That the image of the lives we lead is more important than the truth, and the pressure of creating this perfect fabricated world is a new type of anxiety and worry. We live in a time where female CEO’s and directors are still greeted with surprise rather than respect. In a time where cars that drive themselves and holidays to space are less of a dream, we still see women as minorities. It’s not about feminism, it’s not about doing a mans job, it’s about choice, it’s about bravery, and knowing that equal is different to just being the same. We created the Being Girls Club to champion this credo, to help empower young girls with the mental and emotional tools to face modern world issues with bravery, confidence, and respect. The Being Girls Club offers after school workshops for young girls aged 10-12 in the form of carefully created resources and workshops developed by behavior specialists and teachers. Each workshop is lead by a teacher and volunteer and focuses on different topics each week such as sleep, relationships, bravery, and respect. The workshops encourage group work as well as individual reflection. Schools will receive a full resource pack with the 20-week course, as well as the guide notes, posters, letters, banners and other materials to run their workshops. Schools will also have access to the creators of The Being Girls Club to ask for suggestions and support whenever needed. Upon completion, The Being Girls Club also offers additional resources that schools can subscribe too through our website.

I started GirlBe for my daughter…

I started GirlBe for my daughter because she was quite shy, easily scared, and lacked confidence. Since we began receiving our boxes, we've both grown stronger and more confident together. The inspiring reads in the magazine, the cool pins (which my daughter proudly calls her "confidence pins"), and the thoughtful little gifts — we love every part of it! It feels personal and so well thought-out. We both get genuinely excited when a new box arrives. Thank you, GirlBe! I only wish something like this existed back in the '80s — it would have helped me too.

Thank you

This is my third year of being involved with Being Girls Club and I am so thankful to Tracey and my school for letting it happen! The club is a truly wonderful experience for Year 6 girls facing all the joys and challenges of their unique lives. Tracey creates a safe and lively space for girls to celebrate and explore their thoughts, experiences and aspirations. Go Being Girls Club!

Excellent Program

As a former Year 6 teacher, I saw what a wonderful experience it was for the girls in my class to be a part of the 'Being Girls Club'. Not only does the program explore many of the issues facing girls growing up in today's society, it provides them with a safe space in which to grow in confidence and maturity. The girls really enjoyed every session and it allowed new friendships to develop. I can't recommend these sessions highly enough.

Being Girls

As a mother of ten and eleven year old daughters, it's a concern how our world has changed so drastically.
The world they are growing up in is very different to the one I grew up in.
The pressure to be anything and everything is huge, thank goodness my girls took part in the Being Girls Club.
Their confidence and self belief has increased greatly and I've noticed such a difference in their relationship with each other, I can only assume this will also impact on future relationships.
They have the courage to reach out, to question and discuss things that are meaningful to them in a mature and open way.
Tracey has been a wonderful influence on my girls, I would wholeheartedly reccomend the Being Girls Club to parents and hope more schools embrace it in the future.

Something that all schools should use!

We have ran The Being Girls Club at out school for a few years now. As a Year 6 teacher, I have seen such a positive impact that these sessions have had on the girls involved and believe that it is something all schools should implement. Being a girl can be challenging at times but the delivery of these sessions results in children having a better understanding of developing positive relationships, finding ways of building up self- esteem and seeing things from a different point of view.
Fantastic!

Empowering girls to feel good about being themselves!

An excellent resource that promotes positive reflection, enabling girls to flourish in their own skin. This resource was used in my school and the Y6 girls loved it. It was amazing to see their self-confidence blossom over the course of the program and you could really see the positive impact on individuals. In today’s world there are many pressures on our young people as well as opportunities to be seized! Being Girls Club provides the tools to empower girls to navigate their own journey through this. The program is well resources and easy to follow and I would definitely recommend.

Five stars!

As a Year 6 teacher, I saw firsthand the positive impact this had for our 10 and 11 year old girls. In today's world, they are faced with so many challenges while growing up and this program was just excellent to help them to overcome hurdles and have more self-confidence. Such a worthwhile program to run!

It’s tough being a girl but help is at hand

Tracey tells it how it is. She is so positive, honest, open, down to earth and approachable that girls can’t fail to ‘stride forward’ under her guidance. I was lucky enough to help Tracey with one of these clubs in our school and I particularly loved watching those quiet girls who never said a great deal in class, ‘blossom’ and really find their bit of sass. Very thought- provoking and allowing girls to step out of their comfort zone in a safe, trusting environment. Would highly recommend.

Worthwhile Programme

We ran this club last year for our Y6 girls. It had much more impact than we anticipated. The effect on their self confidence and self belief was amazing. It certainly supported them with their transition to secondary school. Friendships became stronger and they were able to deal with the challenges more effectively.
I recommend this programme wholeheartedly.

Makes a huge difference!

As someone whose class were lucky enough to be chosen to trial this programme, I can honestly say this club has made made such a difference to girls in my year 6 class! They were much more empowered to just be themselves rather than what they thought a ‘girl’ was which had positive effects on their confidence, friendships and their self-belief. The change in them from the start to the end of the club was unbelievable and I felt like they were much more ready to deal with the challenges they would face as they moved to secondary school.
