Purchased a dining table through a…
Purchased a dining table through a local store supplied by this company. Unfortunately it appears that the table marks badly if exposed to any fluid which I find odd for a dining table. Contacted MD via my supplier who was unfortunately unable to resolve the issue as water damage is not covered by warranty.

Our dining tables are made using natural timber and traditional finishes, which give each piece its character but also mean they require a degree of care that’s common to all wooden furniture. As outlined in the care guide supplied with the table, we recommend wiping up any spills straight away and using coasters and placemats to protect the surface from moisture and heat. While the lacquer finish offers good protection, liquid left sitting on the surface for a period of time can still cause marking. This is unfortunately something that can occur with any traditionally made wooden dining table.
We appreciate that this isn’t the outcome you were hoping for, and we’re sorry this has affected your enjoyment of the product. As your table was purchased through one of our retail partners, the contract of sale sits with the store you bought from. They are therefore best placed to continue supporting you and to advise on any next steps.
