I've been trying to contact them for a return label and the don't answer the emails or whatsapps i'm sending. This is very poor customer service for such expensive items.

Emailed about a broken zipper
Emailed about a broken zipper, they offered to replace the part and I explained that I had already attempted to replace the part but it broke more. They thanked me for the info and replaced the bag in less than a week! It was so nice to email with a real human, and I'm so happy to use the bag again. Will order more from this company, thank you thank you!!
5* Customer service
First of all, i love the brown leather satchel bag that I got for Christmas. I'm constantly complimented on it's look and quality. I did have a problem when I dropped the bag facedown. The way it landed broke both buckles. I contacted the company to inquire if I good buy replacement buckles and they sent me new buckles for free. Top notch customer service. 5/5
The return process is catastrophic
The return process is catastrophic. I did not receive a refund and got no response from customer service, even though I sent the items back myself. I am now out 200 euros. This shop is not recommended

I have two bags from Berliner now
I have two bags from Berliner now - the Bergen duffel and the Berlin messenger bag and I'm so happy with the products and customer service. They are made to be repaired with included spare rivets and pulls and the few times I've had a spring snap, the company has been more than happy to send a replacement part so that I can continue using the bag without issue. Will definitely continue purchasing from and recommending this company.

I have a beautiful bag (Leeds) of Berliner Bags. It is a really strong bag for everyday use and I am really happy with it!! Love the colour and the inside is soft and really handy for my laptop or Ipad, also with little pockets for my other stuff. Best purchase of the year!
Customer service does not respond
I hope to get attention of customer service this way. I have send 3 emails to info@berliner-bags to return a bag (weekender Austin XL) as I did not like the leather. First mail send on December 16th, then December 19th and third one January 16th with no response. There is no other way to contact customer service and according to the website for returns in Germany return shipping label is provided by the company. For the last mail I received a confirmation it was received, however no response yet. Please react now!

I do not recommend buying a bag here. It costs a lot of money compared to what you get, and the return service is unreliable (you have to arrange it yourself).

Weekender broke zipper/ poor stiching
After one year the zipper broke/ customer service didnt repair but offered me a couple euros to go to a repair store of my choice.
After year two the stitching is falling off and the weekender is basically not usable anymore… not really durable longtime..specially considering that the bag has been used only a handful of times over the last two years…

I bought a Siena bag in vintage brown and I’m obsessed with it. The color is so warm and the quality is obvious in the leather and the hardware. My mom can’t stop looking at it either so she’ll get a Berlin Bag of her own for Christmas.
Gorgeous Bag, Stellar Customer Service
I purchased a Sofia bag as a Christmas gift for myself. When it arrived, it was even more beautiful than I thought it was online. The leather is thick and clearly made to last a long time. There’s a uniqueness to my bag, and it’s quickly become a signature piece.
I also had a wonderful experience with customer service. Mary was friendly and helpful, and she returned my messages with timeliness. She made sure my concern and my needs were quickly met.

The clasp of the strap on my Sofia bag broke after only using it for 8 months. Thankfully, when I contacted customer service, they were quick to send a replacement strap for free and were most kind and helpful during the process.

SCAM!! THEY DO NOT ALLOW RETURN.
They do not allow return. I ordered a 170 euro bag from them and emailed them SEVERAL times for a return label, but they never reply to emails, nor answer call, nor respond to you in any way. I am stuck with a 170 euro bag that I do not need. Apparently, I am not the only one experiencing this from this brand. So, it is a scam. Please be careful!

Schrecklicher Kundenservice. - Awful customer service. Still waiting for return label for bag I ordered. Have asked several times already via WhatsApp, Mail, Phone, App! No answer so far, still waiting and obviously no refund because cannot get rid of bag I do not like. So no recommendation at all.

Excellent Customer Service
A year and a half ago I bought the Berliner Seattle bag/backpack for a trip. I have continued to use this bag on trips and everyday outings. Recently the lock/fastener broke and I reached out to the company for help.
The customer service has been wonderful. They found another lock for me and shipped it to me. My husband placed the new fastener on my bag and I was good to go.
I can’t say enough about their customer support and continued communication throughout this process. I would definitely buy from them again.
