Extremely Disappointing Customer Service – Regret Choosing Berlinger Haus

My experience with Berlinger Haus has been nothing short of a nightmare. I made a significant purchase of €580 during their Black Friday sale, which included a bulk discount. Among the items was a kitchen scale that arrived defective. Since then, dealing with their customer service has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had.
Initially, I requested a replacement for the defective scale. However, I was told that if I didn’t order additional items, they wouldn’t waive the €10 shipping fee. This is outrageous, considering the fault lies entirely with Berlinger Haus for delivering a broken product. I only asked for the shipping cost to be waived on the replacement – a reasonable request that they flat-out refused.
What’s even worse is that Berlinger Haus initially agreed to replace the scale. However, once they learned I wasn’t planning to buy additional items, they retracted their offer. Instead, they tried to force me into accepting a refund that doesn’t cover the cost of reordering the scale due to the Black Friday discount I originally received. This would leave me at a financial disadvantage, as I’d also have to pay the shipping cost again.
The customer service team has been incredibly unhelpful throughout this process. They’ve ignored emails, broken promises, and demonstrated a complete lack of respect for their customers. It’s now been over a month of back-and-forth, with no resolution in sight.
I deeply regret choosing Berlinger Haus. Their products may look appealing, but the way they treat their customers is appalling. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere.
