Be smart, find another rental company
I am reporting for a friend, Dan Moran. We were on a dream vacation cruise; we rented an electric car from Bermuda rental car. It was in rough shape, not very clean, but all they had in stock and very tight for two adults. It was hot, and this had no a/c. This was pre-arranged by our tour provider. The GPS did not update, so we got lost (in a loop). We contacted the company, they were 30 minutes away but said it would take over an hour to get a tow truck out to us, as the battery would not hold a charge and we were stuck. We called a taxi and left it at a secure location. We nearly missed our ship because of this. We caused them no inconvenience, as they had to send a tow truck to pick up their shoddy vehicle. They are demanding $250 from us. This is very unfair.
