Paid for first class, received second class, no refund
I purchased what were advertised as first class Bernina Express tickets through berninarailway.com and paid EUR 285.60. However, the tickets I received were clearly marked as second class.
During the journey the train was overcrowded. At times there were no available seats, and I was repeatedly asked to leave the first class carriage because my ticket showed second class. This completely defeated the purpose of paying extra for first class.
Customer service acknowledged there was a problem and stated they were working on a refund. After that communication slowed down and eventually stopped. No refund was issued and no proper invoice confirming the first class purchase was ever provided.
This experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. I would advise travelers to be cautious when booking through this website.
