The best of its type I've found - having used them for 20 years at least

I ordered the back lotion applicator to replace one which was no longer working - the plastic ball bearings eventually wear away with continued use, and fall out. This was the cheapest one I'd come across in all the years I've been using them, but it's easily the best. It works really smoothly and quietly, and spreads the lotion evenly. Delivery was quick and reasonably priced.

I've just ordered another to have ready as a spare.

Dreadful company

Would like to give no star.
Never received my package.
The company does not respond to emails and never answer their phone.
The tracking number and company do not match.
Scam company. Buyer beware.

Misleading advertising - adverts says £199 but tries to charge £289

I spent some time researching a product I wanted and decided on a particular brand. There were a few retailers and various offers and I settled on the most competitive one with BestDirect. I investigated the company first as I had not heard of them and they have a Sky shopping channel, which I checked. I went back to the website page with the offer, which was £199 reduced from £259, and free standard delivery. When I pressed for payment I was taken to a page where the cost was £289. So not even the original price of £259, and certainly not the advertised price of £199.

I emailed via the website, providing a description of the issue and left my contact details. I didn't receive a response and the web page showing £199 was still accessible more than 24 hours later so I contacted Sales by telephone to follow this up. The sales advisor informed me they could only see the item priced at £289 on their website and it wasn't something they could deal with. They gave me a number for Customer Service and I spoke with them. They asked if I could email with the information, which I did and included pictures evidencing the item priced at £199. I was informed I would be contacted the next day.

BestDirect did not contact me so I followed up with a further email. At 6:30 pm I received an email from Michelle at BestDirect claiming she had tried to contact me and was unable to reach me. She then stated she would be in the office until 8 pm if I wanted to contact her. Michelle did not leave a contact number. BestDirect made no attempt to contact me by phone.

I rang Customer Services and that number was closed. I rang Sales and was informed Michelle did not work in that department.

This is potentially fraudulent. The advert is not just misleading, it's dishonest and this is further cemented by the failure of BestDirect to address the matter. It would be very easy for people to process a payment without realising it was processed at a higher cost. Without evidence of the lower cost if the web page was removed then customers would be out of pocket.

It is a Trading Standards issue. You cannot advertise items at one price and then charge customers a higher cost. The web page was still accessible almost 48 hours after I had highlighted the issue. Even if it was a genuine error they should have (a) honoured the price for my order, (b) removed the web page.

You have to ask yourself what kind of business employs staff who blatantly lie about making contact.

If any other customers have experienced anything similar with any items then you should report this to Trading Standards. I have reported this.

As I always say, it's not that issues arise or that there are sometimes problems which result in bad reviews for companies. It is

(a) how you respond to them,
(b) how you demonstrate that you value your customers/ potential customers,
(c) demonstrating you review and reflect to improve matters.

I made 4 phone calls and sent 3 emails and provided evidence of the issue. BestDirect sent me one email which contained a blatant lie. Says it all.

They notified me that my item arrived…

They notified me that my item arrived but it never did and when checking the track and trace it would show an error and there was also no note from the postal service. I contacted them about the missing order and they offered to send me a new one. I agreed to that but nothing happened for a long time. I send several emails asking about the resend item and if there was track and trace or any update about it but they simply ignored all my emails and never replied. I gave up on this item... TWO MONTHS LATER I got an email that my order is on the way!!! I'm not sure if it actually did arrive, since my uni is closed over the summer and I already ordered a similar item anyways from another webshop and don't have any need anymore for the extra item. Absolutely horrible service.

Crap company

Don’t have anything lower than a 1 star, disgusting telling me they have sent an item out on a wrong tracking number. So instead of getting it in 2-3 working days it’s Gunna take about a week. Don’t know when it’s coming or going to arrive, called to speak to a manager at 3.30pm will call you back, called again at 4.30pm to speak to a manager will call u back. Called again at 5.30pm was on the phone over 15 minutes waiting for a manager to call disgusting

Does not deserve 1 star ripped me off calling to do a return on a gym belt returned and chasing up where the refund for the item was ripp off company

No Support

I bought an item that ended u not working when it arrived. I repeatedly tried to contact their support staff on the phone number on their website without success. The number is a dud! I sent an email to their support and still got no reply. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt. I ended up contacting PayPal to set up a dispute to get my money back.
