The worst service in the world

The worst service in the world. I ordered 10 doors exactly 4 months ago. They were delayed and I received them about three weeks ago. However, two of the doors were simply missing from the shipment. I am the one who discovered this, they were not transparent at all about only sending me a partial order. I have spent three weeks trying to chase down these missing doors, which I paid for, and I’m basically spinning my wheels. Today they asked me to send an actual picture, like me taking a picture with my phone, to them of the doors that I actually did receive. I’m dumbfounded at this request, like why do you need a picture of something you made and sent me? It is utterly baffling.

Many thanks to the poster here who indicated this company is part of another outfit. That helped to actually track down some contact information. Here’s a phone number that I was able to use to get through to this company. 980-505-3541. When I used this number I actually wasn’t sure which company it was for, the owner apparently owns a few companies but I started talking about my cabinet doors right away and I had my order number and I was able to get some help. Perhaps they use the same customer service department for all of the companies that they own??

As far as refunds are concerned, they are very steadfast about their no refund policy however if you’ve used a credit card it is almost certain that you could go through your credit card company and dispute the charges. I actually feel like sending back my whole entire order and starting over with a different company. My credit card company is Chase and they said I am still well within the timeframe where I could dispute a charge even though it’s been four months.

I know it’s the pandemic and everything, believe me I have gotten infinitely more patient in the past 18 months but this situation is just ridiculous. With all that said, the doors that I did receive are beautiful and they are exactly what I ordered. So if you are willing to roll the dice on a circus of a customer service experience, go ahead and place your order with this company. You might get lucky! I did compare prices on all of the cabinet door websites and these guys were the cheapest even though at the point where I placed my order all of their discounts had been removed. I see now that they have put the 10% off discount back up on their website.

DO NOT ORDER FROM BEST CABINET DOORS!

I should have read reviews first. This place is TERRIBLE. Customer service does not exist! It has been EXACTLY six weeks since I ordered ONE DOOR!!
I have left four messages on their online "Contact Us' with no response. You can contact them alright...they're just not going to respond!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUSINESS OR ANY ASSOCIATED BUSINESSES WITH THIS COMPANY!! Just like everyone

bestcabinetdoors is the same company as "Cabinet Door World" owned by James Christopher Robinson. Beware that this same owner also owns Ready to Assemble Cabinets, TopChop Butcher Block, and Cabinet Solutions USA. You can look it up yourself on the North Carolina Secretary of State's website. Cabinet Door World is his SECOND business to be rated one of BBB's worst businesses of the year (The Dirty Dozen list). The first was The Handyman Company in 2013. He has changed the name of that business 10 times according to a WSOCTV article on the dirty dozen list.

Not the best customer experience

I ordered four unfinished raised panel doors with hardwood sides and MDF panel. I ordered April 29th and the doors were delivered June 9th. This was 28 business days, or 42 total days counting weekends and holiday, from the date of ordering to the date of delivery. I would not order again given this long time. Standard size doors would have been acceptable for my project but they did not list any of these. To be fair, and if you look more closely at the website under Lead Times, fulfilling an order will take 20 to 30 business days, not including ship times, for UNFINISHED products because each item is custom. A closer look at the website shows that they do not give refunds. Another issue is the fact that the website only mentions that they are located in North Carolina however no address, email, or phone number or other contact information is given. The only way to contact them is via their online contact form. Given that they have no listed address and phone number, it seemed I had been scammed. Order status only said my order was “in production” without any details. Once I received a response via email I could reply but this was very cumbersome. For example, I had to ask three time as to the specifics of the bore for the hinges so I would know the size, diameter, depth, etc. And since the online status only indicated that my order was “in production”, I had to email for the status so I could plan the job based on expected delivery—which they could not give. Several times they told me the doors were in the sanding department and there was unexpected delays but no details were given. The email responses were somewhat general without any real information. Boilerplate comes to mind. I had to be persistent to get any info on my order. This lead me to think I was scammed. I went to the North Carolina Secretary of State website to find more information on the company. The business filings gave me a street address and a phone number. I called the phone number to find it was disconnected. A quick Google search on the address found other cabinet businesses at the same location and with common ownership. I was very concerned over this but the doors arrived the same day. The quality of the doors is what would be expected and the price was good. Ordering was easy. However, the lack of contact information (address, phone, etc) , the long wait for four doors, and generic email responses turned out to be problematic for me. I would not order from this business again.

Horrible Customer Service Don't order from them

Placed an order totaling 942.71 on January 31st 2021 Then had to email them asking for an update 2 months later (they have NO contact phone number). They didn't send me shipping information. 1 Month after getting them we went to hang the cabinet doors ( needed to paint them put on hardware) We assumed they would make them correctly only for 9 of them to be completely wrong. I then had to email them again to see what we could do to fix this. How to send them back because they are completely useless to us. They wouldn't take them back. now I have 9 useless doors and then they charged us another 225.00 for the new doors even though they messed up. Promised a rush order and now 2 months later they have our money and we have no doors.

I will never use this company again.
