The team at Canary Wharf are helpful, friendly, efficient and a credit to the company. Typically the best rate around - so I’ll keep coming back.

Easy to order, handy location, only reason it's not 5 stars is they don't tell you exactly when the money will be ready (say it could be a few days) and then when it is ready you only have 1 day to co... See more

The best rates in London BUT today was…

The best rates in London BUT today was a bad experience.
At 2.15 I looked at their web site which was quoting a USD rate of 1.2085. As instructed I rang to agree a "large" exchange and agreed a rate 1.2100. At 4.15 I turned up at the Canary Wharf to pay and collect my dollars. I was kept waiting while the counter staff held a long telephone conversation and then told that the rate was not going to be honoured and I would have to pay a higher price. The computer terminal correctly recorded the agreed rate but I was offered a rate of 1.20 "take it or leave it", an increase of £62 in the price. At the time of this offer the web page was quoting a rate of 1.2081; £50 less than the revised deal being offered to me. After some acrimonious discussion with the counter clerk's head office and a referral to a "senior manager" they managed to offer me the rate currently on the screen on my phone. So this performance ended up costing me £11, an hour of my time and a downturn in my mood.
BestForeignExchange is just one of the many brands that FEXCO (a giant Irish currency trading company) trades under. I am surprised that they are prepared to sully their reputation and repudiate a deal made in good faith for £11.

In response to your reply. The branch was Canary Wharf and the review was about BestForeignExchange which quotes higher rates in central london than your other brands. The transaction date was 09-01-23. Payment for the currency was at 16:49. We have already discussed this transaction by email but I have received no satisfactory explanation; I then suggested you respond publicly to my review.
It is now 8th February. The promised contract has never happened so I assume they have reviewed their actions and decided that reneging on an agreed deal is acceptable behaviour.
It's now 1st March. I've heard nothing from FEXCO so I guess they are happy that they have behaved in accordance with their ethics.

Highly recommend

Every time I need foreign exchange I always use Best Foreign Exchange. They’re honestly the best, it’s literally quick and easy to order your currency online and choose a branch to pick up your currency. Their exchange rates are very competitive, they usually the ‘cheapest’ on the market.

Best rates always

Always use these guys, easy and simple ordering process and I have never seen better rates at other FX outlets. Certainly for dollars and euro’s I’ve never shopped anywhere else.
