I asked Best Life to find a companion for my husband who is a keen birder and outdoor person. He has had two companions and they have both been a really good match. My husband enjoys his trips out and I get a couple of hours to myself, it's a win win! I would highly recommend Best Life for their care and professionalism.

I found out about Best Life Companion Service through the Best Life Day Centre that Dad had enjoyed going to for 4 years.
Both Companions that Dad has had have made such a difference to his week. They got to know Dad and he enjoys his weekly outings.
It was quickly established that Dad liked a trip to the pub which is something he always used to enjoy in the past so great that he is still able to do this.

Adorno have been providing a companion for my Mum for over a year now and this service has been invaluable. Our regular companion is kind and considerate and very genuinely caring. She has been consistently supportive, including at times when Mum has been ill/hospitalised and visiting Mum when she is on a respite break at a local care home in order to provide continuity. When our regular companion needs a holiday, Adorno have always offered to provide someone else to visit and everyone we have met from the agency has been absolutly wonderful. Adorno's admin and customer service when contacting the office have also always been excellent. Wholeheartedly recommend Adorno.

Brilliant service, my mother's 'companions', Sally and Susanne, are invaluable to her. Mum loves her weekly visits.

Adorno day centres for the elderly have been a blessing to help my elderly mother connect with other elderly people. The centres are extremely well run and a big shout out to Mark one of the centre managers who is so professional and very helpful.

Adorno provide a very good service for my mum's requirements and previously for my father. The staff are very friendly and look after mum needs and are very caring. Mums companion, Suzie, is lovely with mum and is happy to fulfill her needs and is always helpful and cheery. As a family we really appreciate the support that Adorno provide.

Very happy with the way things have gone with Adorno Companions. They have matched up my husband with a male companion which he gets on well with, and always turns up on the days that he is booked for.

Adorno companions have been a wonderful source of comfort, support and joy to my mum and our whole family. They are such a wonderful bunch of people and their matching service means that they really think carefully about who on their team can best support each individual so the support is personalised in a way that feels much more like a friend popping round for a coffee and chat than a formal care visit. The consistency of the companion has been really important to my mum who, when you are struggling to recognise new people, is now immediately at ease when they arrive. Adorno is a brilliant and much needed service for people in our community - allowing them to stay at home have fun and be independent.

Finding a companion
I have found Emma and Kathleen very supportive, understanding and flexible in helping me to find a suitable companion for my husband. This arrangement is going well and provides a much needed slot to get things done outside the home.

We approached Adorno just over a year ago when our mother started to get confused and anxious living alone and have received practical support, advice and kindness ever since - not only for our mother, who is being helped to continue to live independently, but for the wider family when we have struggled to understand these changes.
Emma has an amazingly positive approach to helping people with dementia and has helped us all to adapt to new circumstances while not forgetting to enjoy things that are still possible to do together. Mum has received enormous kindness and warmth from her Adorno companions, as well as practical support and help when this has been needed. Though the onset of dementia is distressing for everyone concerned, Adorno has shown us that with the right support, living independently and with dignity is still possible.

My Dad started to develop dementia & was in need of someone to give him some company & fun when I was working. Emma came for a chat to discover what things Dad liked to do and then matched him up with one of the amazing companions. Mark took Dad out & they started snooker together & this continued for many years, even as Dads dementia progressed.
He was a life saver for me, knowing that Dad was safe & having fun. Definitely recommend Adorno Companions to everyone.

Mum is in her 90s, living alone and despite good health was feeling quite isolated and in need of company, contact and the security of knowing she had regular visits. She is full of interest in the world still and loves nature but needs someone to share those interests with. Emma was amazing, she conducted a consultation with Mum to understand her and then set about finding a companion who could provide the necessary care but also share interests and activities. Sally has now been visiting mum 3 days a week at set times and they have become really good friends. They share interest (Sally is trained as an environmentalist) and do regular trips to places of mutual interest. It’s made a huge impact on mums outlook and disposition. She’s really happy and looks forward to the days. It been a great help for us as although we do see her regularly we are all busy and knowing that she has Sally as well means we know she’s getting plenty of proper human contact and interaction. I wish we’d heard of adorno earlier and am really thankful for the lovely difference they’ve made.

From our very first meeting with Emma from Adorno Companions and Sally, we were put at ease. Our family feel mum is in a calm and caring environment during each of Sally's visits and we are so grateful for the service Adorno Companions provide. We would definitely recommend this company for anyone wanting a kind and friendly companion for their loved ones.

We are so pleased we found Adorno Companion Care - mum is 96 & she really looks forward to her mornings with M, who is fantastic - she takes mum to garden centres, out for coffee etc & is brilliant at taking mum to hospital or other medical appointments. I really appreciate this. Both M & E are excellent in keeping me updated by message or call & I feel I can always rely on them. I would absolutely recommend Adorno. 😊
