Swindon has really helpful staff.

It's a cash and carry, not much to say really, until I thought about it recently.
Every single time I've needed to ask a member of staff about anything I have, without exception had my query dealt with with courtesy, as smile and a helpful attitude. This is something you wouldn't really expect from such a grim looking environment (well it's a cash and carry, not Waitrose)
I've been going there for years and never thought about writing a review until I was speaking to a member of staff (who was being helpful) and I asked if they have a review page - so here it is.

This is my local Stockport, Manchester branch as I have not been to others. How this company continues trading is beyond me, the staff are mostly rude and obnoxious and stand there laughing and joking in there own language and completely ignore the customer, they walk off half way through serving you, the place is badly lit, smells and you can always find flies buzzing around some of the stock, food cases are sometimes open and half eaten, products out of date, I found maggots in the stock once which the staff found highly amusing, no-one takes responsibility for errors, if you return a product with an issue you are frowned upon or they accuse you of "doing something to it", if you can find a member of staff to ask a question they never know the answer and that's if they understand what you are saying as some do not seem to speak English, I would happily never set foot in this place again if it was not for the monthly offer sheet. Last night alone got into an argument because they had charged for a product that I was told by the staff was free with my purchase, they then did not want to credit me, it took that long to sort out I was then rushing to get the stock before they closed so was running a bit late (have always been told by the manager "never a problem, we wait for you") the staff member had a right go at me, then run over my foot with the trolley (I had sandals on), then called me names, laughing to his mate in his own language, after putting my stock through he walked off and left me stood there, I waiting not knowing what was happening as he went and clocked off without saying a word about being finished or giving me the invoice, AVOID this place if you can.
