Gary was professional and responsive in getting the quote, surveyor, and order completed, answered all my questions; and kept me informed throughout the process.

Mike, who installed the windows, was amazing. His expertise made the job organized and quick, and he left the house immaculate.

I really appreciate the work that you both did for us and would definitely recommend this company.

Our experience was great, wonderful fitting team, excellent windows & Door, easy to deal with, FENSA certificate came in no time, easy dealing with the owner, 5/5 from us.

Very disappointed, because Gary wasted a lot of our time.

Background:
As a group of residents, we were looking for a contractor to replace our windows. Some of them are difficult: double-height, permission required for the public path between dock & the building. Not every company would be suitable - got a few benchmark quotes to date. For the matter of efficiency, I was first reaching to companies to check their suitability, and only then asked a few to the onsite visit.

What happened:
- contacted Gary with the above information (incl. difficulties), photos of the windows, and google map link (so he could see access path)
- Gary mentioned he knows the building and windows because already completed a project here
- We coordinated logistics between all residents to accommodate onsite visit for him to measure windows and be able to provide a quote, check details etc

Well... Gary came for the onsite visit, only to announce it would be a very expensive project (that we already knew - windows are sizeable, crane etc) and that he would not even consider such a job.

After my email complaint to him - I was not present during the visit, another resident was - he started arguing that didn't receive the correct information.

Now that I look at this from the perspective:
- he most likely never read my email or didn't open attachments
- I feel that the claim 'I know the building because completed a project here already', might not be necessarily true and was only a sales trick. Otherwise would already know the project is not suitable for him
- all Gary's reviews are from 2017 (suspicious?)

Gary was very prompt in responding to messages and calls. He came to measure up, on-time and was straight forward to deal with. Again, his fitters arrived when they said they would, and were very quick and efficient and the results were a decent job. Difficult to find reliable service these days so was very pleasantly surprised, would definitely recommend. Thanks.

I had new windows fitted by Gary's company a few years ago and at the time I was completely satisfied with the service that was provided but earlier this year two of the handles needed replacing because the mechanism inside had broken so I emailed Gary asking if he could supply me with the replacement handles and fit them for me , I received a reply asking me take some pictures of the handles and email them to him and he would be in touch, just over a week later I received a text message asking if I would be in the next day has he was in the area and could come and a fit the new handles we arranged a time he came put the new handles on had a look at the other handles and said if I had anymore problems to get in touch also there was no charge so that's why I have given Gary the five stars in my review.

Gary and his team at Better Deal Windows did another superb job for me. This is the second and bigger window replacement job than the first one they did for us. Again the work quality was fantastic, and the fitter was a pleasure to deal with. What was most appreciative was the flexibility they showed when we realised we had to make slight changes with our requirements. Added to that how they quickly supported us when we had an incident which resulted with one of our new windows being smashed. No hesitation in recommending them to others looking to get UPVC window replacements done.

Gary and Betterdeal have undertaken work on a number of neighbouring properties across an 80 unit estate as well as a number of common parts installations, leading to many referrals to other leaseholders and a wider audience. After booking a provisional block around 4-6 weeks ahead, within 3 weeks, I was contacted by the Betterdeal team who offered a short notice slot later in the week: I accepted and am very pleased with the results. The team were on site ahead of time and then worked without a break for over 4 hours to complete the installation. The site indoors and outside was left clean and tidy.

I had a large window and front porch installed about 5 years ago by Betterdeal Windows which went quite smoothly. I recently discovered that 2 of the sealed units in the window had failed and contacted Gary, the owner of the company. He quoted me £70 each to replace them but I questioned this as it was still within the 5 year warranty period for sealed units (the window itself has 10 year cover). He said that if it was still under 5 years then sure he would replace them free of charge. He asked me to send him my details again so he could check his records. I sent this to him promptly and after that "the shutters came down".

I understood perfectly that this piece of work would be low priority for him as it's not going to earn him money so I only chased up politely via Whatsapp messages and the couple of times he bothered to reply, he made out that he was looking into it for me. After a few weeks, I also tried to call him but he never returned my calls. But I persisted. Eventually he replied that he would come over to measure the windows, the first time he postponed it at the last minute, the second time he didn't bother to turn up and completely ignored my subsequent messages and calls. So now I need to find another supplier and pay for the replacements.

I had my suspicions early on from his abrupt manner/lack of response that he would not honour his guarantee but I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Very disappointed and annoyed that he gave me the run-around, wasting my time and energy. Sure his quote was very competitive but I question the quality/durability of the products. So I would say if you just want to get windows and doors on the cheap then good luck, you might get lucky. But don't rely on the guarantee to give you peace of mind like I did, it's not worth the paper it's written on.

I bought my house knowing that I had to have new windows. As a single mum, I was extremely nervous about whom to use. As I was on a budget.
I had three company’s give me quotes (let’s just say Mr. Drew’s quote beat the others by a long way under). This was the first benefit.
Now comes the rest. From start to finish Mr. Gary Drew and his team was professorial to the max, helpful, quick, reliable, and his windows are of a very high quality. There was no sales pitch or pressure. I felt totally comfortable. They followed through with everything they said and promised. There were no delays and no mistakes. My experience of having Mr. Drew and his company supply and fit my window was an extremely pleasant one. I would highly recommend this team. Not only does my house look unbelievably different from the outside. It is quiet, warm and a joy to open and close such lovely windows and doors. I am one happy lady………….

Great company from the start to finished installation, i would use Betterdeal windows in the future for any of my home improvements!
