I recently completed an online Better Off and their calculator said I was eligible for universal credit. It had estimated about £300. So I applied for universal credit and was successful, but based on my take home pay and savings (which I’d entered into Better Off), I was entitled to £0. In other words, no money at all from universal credit. It was a total waste of my time.
