Everything is wrong

I have to purchase my books though this book seller through for my classes. I ordered my books on the 12th paid for 2 day shipping to ensure they would arrive on time. On the 15th I called to see why i hadn’t received my books yet and was told they were on back order and it would be another week so i requested a refund on my shipping and was told that’s not how it works it’s 2 days from when they decided to ship them. Then I mysteriously got an email a few hours later saying the books that were on back order have been shipped. They then arrived on the 19th but only 2 were in the box so I called to see what was going on and was met with an extremely rude lady who proceeded to ask me if I emptied the whole box like I would be able to miss 2 more huge text books and then it took another week to get my other books and one of my books has serval pages that have long black steaks through the words.

Just a garbage program

Just a garbage program. Search function is terrible. Text to speech is terrible. Can't use plugins to make reading easier for ADHD students. Needing to download an app so I can read something I HAVE PURCHASED without being online is dystopian horsesh*t.

They can't overcome software problems

I was in a course that had physical books. In order to prevent getting charged for books that my class didn't need, I opted out of the classes e books. The same semester, I started more classes that don't have physical copies of books. After reaching out to customer service 4 weeks ago, theres been refusal to help me. They simply dont believe in what they are attempting to stand for.

It makes me burn my eyes

I have super dry eyes so I use a screen reader, but whenever I use it in BibliU, it thinks I am trying to copy from the book and it takes away allowance which is a stupid feature that shouldn't exist, so I basically can't use a screen reader and I have to burn my eyes to read it.

the most inaccessible, unfriendly, and near-useless library program I have ever used, featuring a reader less useful than options from around 20 years ago.

This bookstore seems to do everything it can to be as inaccessible as possible for people with ADHD or the visually impaired. The text reader is, without exaggeration, the single worst one I have EVER used. It is outdone by every stock reader I've come across from any operating system or browser. Even running on increased speed, it breaks the flow of the text between every sentence and line; it cannot even complete a single sentence without a multi-second pause, often multiple per sentence. It also reads EVERYTHING on the page, not just the relevant info to the course, including legal info in the margin (leading to a 55.23-second string of random numbers, dates, and useless legal information literally EVERY TIME it turns a page). It is even outdone by browser-based text-to-speech programs from 2006 in usefulness, consistency of flow, and efficiency(I am not joking; I tested them, Bibliu is categorically worse in most fields except individual word pronunciation than Cepstral's 2006 offerings that are nearly 20 years old.)

Here is a transcription to give a real example of how bad this reader is.

Electronic commerce began in the United States and for [2 second pause] many years was conducted primarily through [2 second pause] English-language Web sites. As you will learn in this [3-second pause] chapter, that has changed dramatically in recent [2-second pause] years.

The inability to copy and paste or even select a section of the text makes third-party reading programs totally useless.

Again, this library is borderline, or in some cases totally, unusable for people with ADHD, vision issues, or any condition that makes reading the text itself difficult. this program is so bad it just feels actively malicious.

A total nightmare for a college bookstore!

3rd semester of unfortunately having to deal with crappy Bibliu bookstore!

They process orders slower than asnail so each semester one starts without at least one textbook.

They don't answer their phones either. 72 hours after my initial order it is still NOT processed ao I cancelled it. No idea wtf I am suppose to but either way I wont have my order in time for the start of my classes AGAIN!

Biggest mistake Wake Tech has made was switching to this crappy crappy crappy bookstore!!!
