A terrible company and service. The bidx1 agent for the property gave incorrect and misleading information regarding the property. Full details of the property wasn’t made available to view until after the auction had been won. The bidx1 agent was very unhelpful after the auction. My advice is not to deal with this company and use professionals.

Very good customer service, fast and to the point. I actually registered on the day of the auction and was supported throughout the registration process. Platform is easy to use and navigate through.

I bid, I paid and I received nothing. I’m almost homeless and I had to cancel my wedding because BidX1 failed to secure the deal.

Really good experience with the team in London, unfortunately I didn't win the lot but the process was easy enough and my deposit was returned quickly. Thanks!

My experience with Bidx1 has been second to none. Absolutely perfect. I've been dealing with Ian who was guiding me through the bidding process. A bit slow in replying to emails and phone calls But eventually rang back and were helpful.

The property we were bidding on was being sold in partnership with Foxtons. We were able to view the property before the auction, verify that it was real and really on the market, and take measurements of the plot.

I filled out the registration details in order to bid on the property two days before the auction. We were buying in joint names, and the registration form didn’t make this easy to specify - I submitted two lots of ID documents and they updated the names for the contract automatically. However, they are only able to specify one buyer’s address on the contract, whereas we would have preferred using separate addresses, since we don’t live together. I tried to pay the bidding fee and security deposit (£11400 total for the property I was interested in) by credit card, and it looked like the payment was successful, but the website kept saying “Authorisation pending”. I called my bank, and they had indeed refused the payment. After going through a long check to confirm it wasn’t fraud, I made the payment while on the phone to the bank. A few minutes later, the BidX1 website showed I was able to bid.

The bidding had been scheduled to end at 1pm. However, on the day of the auction, the deadline was moved to 12:10pm. Fortunately I saw this, but it would have been easy to miss if I’d planned to join at the end. The bidding never started, because nobody wanted to bid above the starting price. After the auction closed, I made an offer through the website. Then I had a discussion with the agents, during which we agreed a price. They reopened the auction at the price we’d agreed, I bid, and the auction ended soon after. We had won the auction.

Following the auction, emails went out saying we’d won, sending the contract to myself and my solicitor, and asking for the balance of the deposit. I paid the deposit by bank transfer the next day, and soon after received an email confirming it had been received and that the full deposit had been paid. The purchase was completed in 4 weeks from the bid date. The process was relatively smooth. Any concerns we had regarding the integrity of the process were unfounded.

One thing that was made clear was that if you win the auction, even if you don’t complete the purchase, for example if the person selling the house doesn’t actually have the right to, you lose the fee. However, it wasn’t clear whether BidX1 or Foxtons actually check this first. In our case one of the previous owners was deceased, causing only a minor complication in this instance. If your are buying the house through a normal process things like that would be checked and sorted before the exchange of contracts, so such issues are avoided. With BidX1, the exchange happens when you win the auction.

I cannot comment on the process in the case that you don’t win.

Stay away! Do not use Bidx1. Scam.

So you pay for a due diligence, organise a loan and get prepared for an auction and its pulled.
You should be protected from these crooks, stay clear of them as you will waste your time and money.
Dont walk, run from these clowns.

I'm so pleased I read these reviews. I was interested in a property that to be fair seemed too good to be true and looking at these reviews, probably is. The bidx1 website helps you believe what you want to believe that they are fair, transparent company but I've been unable to get any contact with them by email or phone before the sale to register my interest and now I certainly won't proceed. It's a shame because the idea of online auction seems good but their lack of responsibility for what they advertise is quite shocking allowing unsuspecting buyers to fall for sales from dodgy sellers. Their auctions are advertised on myhome.ie and various other sites, I'll be writing to see if they would consider removing them!

Bidx1 allows businesses like Pepper to sell properties that are still in dispute with the owners still collecting rent. Paid deposit for one such property only for someone to emerge that he is the landlord and owner, threatening me of legal and physical action if i should proceed. Now Bidx1 and Pepper do not want to pay back my deposit, neither are they willing to confront the Landlord. Saying I should be the one to handle that. This to me is a crime. I am looking for a legal expert to help me. If you know one PLEASE HELP!

I am an expat living in Ireland and bought my home through the platform a lot cheaper than any real estate (especially the one i was renting through). Trade off is the range of properties wasn't massive but I found something very close to what I was renting, so no issues from me.

The team was helpful but I do recommend using your own lawyer to navigate the process for piece of mind.

Happy to recommend, 6 months in and it worked out for me.

Most shady company I ever dealt with. The property they are advertising is only about 35% of the size they claim it is and they refuse to change the description on their website.
The property is not able to be viewed and the tenant in the property is unaware that it is for sale is paying rent but its claimed by Bidx1 that there is no rent being received by the vendor.
This company seems to accept any property for auction without looking at it or checking any details.

Misinformed about property sale. (Ireland) Seller keeping my money. 7000 euro.

I went to purchase a property in on online auction in September 2019. As per the agreement i paid a 10% deposit within 48 hours. The amount was 140,000 so i have paid 14,000.

I had already recieved the loan approval for this property and was the successful bidder in the online auction. I was informed by my solicitor that the title was bad and a mortgage couldn't be obtained as it was only a lease and would have no resale value.

Through my solicitor I requested to pull out.
The seller came back to me in January via their legal team offering only 50% of the deposit back and they want to keep the other 7000 euro themselves

There was no information about the poor condition of the title at the time of purchase and i handed the money over in good faith and have done everything else they have asked to make the purchase.

I am just a working man, with a minor disability and have been working for years to get that deposit together and am now out of the market for the time being til i can save again.

The property cannot be bought with a mortgage but that was never made clear
