Doesn't take standard 32mm traps. The waste that came with my tap is slotted and the basin does not have an overflow so I had to purchase this universal waste. However, this universal waste's inner diameter is too small for standard waste traps. I measured it at an inner diameter of 33mm, whereas my slotted waste that works with all traps has an inner diameter of 36.5mm. If you look at the pics, the trap enters a few mm into the slotted waste and then the rubber washer sits flush with the end of the waste, however, with this universal waste, the trap is a few mm too wide to fit and so a leak-free seal cannot be achieved as the washer would be left several mm from the end of the waste and trap - useless! Looks like this is either poor quality control or else you have to purchase some adapter (which my local plumbing suppliers does not have - they reckon it's just a poor product).
