Dishonest, Undignified,Poor Customer Service
I brought my e-bike in because I was having an issue with the chain from in which it had came off during one of my cycles. After noticing it wouldn’t stay on I took it to big cat bikes for repair. The manager Jose Torres that serviced my bike informed me of other issues he proclaimed was harmful to me if not fixed and asked if he could asses those issues I agreed. After told my bike was fixed I was charged more then he informed me the price was over the phone when I got there but as promised he assured me the bike was fixed and ready to use. Before leaving he inquired about the bikes battery being low and if I was knowledgeable about the special kinda charger the bike had to use not like most e-bikes- he also implied he tried to look out for me by charging it up for me which is when he notice my bike took a specific charger and his was the wrong one- he told me he noticed it within no time so no damage was done and not to worry. I left the bike shop and before I got to my destination I drove through a grassy area and I noticed the chain had come off. upon getting my new charger I was waiting for in the mail I charged up the bike and was able to take it for a ride again. Noticing the promise of my bike being fixed was not true like before prior to bringing it in the chain begin to come off over every uneven surface I commuted on-making Jose aware of a issue I brought it in and he implied false statements to me about why the issue was happening and told me that it was a old bike excusing me and invalidating my concern. I left a bad review on face book and sent a email to the bike’s website expressing my disappointment and in return Jose attacked me and my wife in a replying email, was very defensive and dismissive about the whole situation explained unrelated excuses, told me that “ They do not respect my emails “ and that “they do not respect my wife for the negative review” which was totally incorrect and inappropriate because I was the one who gave the negative review which is my right as a customer and not to be disrespected, unvalued as a customer, and talked to disparagingly by Jose who’s conduct was extremely undignified. The remark he made shows the dismissive attitude, and no care for me as a customer and absolutely shows the questionable understanding and arrogance in his letter where he states I have a old use bike anyway and he made it work good for what it was, and not to come back to his store with the bike find another shop elsewhere. I have been distressed by the whole experience and the bike has become in worse condition then it was brought in , I’ve been refused a refund but I will be seeking legal counsel for the added damages and more that incurred from this experience of events
