All of the people saying it's got malware are dumb, Nox is a great program, if you've used a computer in the last 15 years most free programs have a side option for you to install other programs, it's what helps this project stay alive.
I've been using Nox for over 3 years and never had any problem.
it's not as if my PC is the greatest, I have a $500 custom built PC (built 4 years ago as well) and it runs fine, I get 60 FPS with ease on 1080p.
The reason it would show up as a virus to an antivirus is due to it trying to use many cores and a lot of ram, any antivirus will detect that it's trying to use HALF of your Ram.
Morale of the story: these people are dumb, it's great, don't be dumb like them and you'll be fine.

Do not install this - luckily my Avast AV stopped the download dead, before installation could begin. Full of malware and God knows what else. So much for a highly rated Macworld article that recommended it too...

Installed this and it also installed chromium and possibly hundreds of other viruses on my computer. My brother in law is a tech expert and spent over an hour cleaning everything off it. Thank God I have him otherwise 🤷‍♂️

Today I wanted to try an android app, had not used Nox in a while, it said update available. clicked on that. After that my Kaspersky virus scanner alerted me that malware was being installed: Segurazo malware. I did not get an opt out or anything, only for McAfee.
Luckily Kaspersky blocked most of it, after an extensive scan only one add on was installed in Firefox.
Avoid this program if you want to keep using your PC.

Make a sustainable product instead by taking a small fee and throw away the bogus "free" claim since the software are never installed.

I tried to download this after a Youtube video recommended t6hem as number 1 Android emulator. THey also claim on their website that their app is reliable but if they were they are not anymore.

Do not even try to download !!

They try to fool you into installing Yahoo search software, AVG, McAffee and I am sure others too by having small little boxes pre ticked for you to accept. Worse then GARBAGE!!!

I do not have a slow connection, old PC, old windows etc...everything Top notch but tired of crap.

Nox has malware that will install other adware and spyware onto your pc. you can't uninstall it normal and you may have to do a clean full windows/osx install to remove the viruses. do not install this crap.

...and now I can't go on Google Chrome without my PC crashing.

people who say it has malware are CORRECT! I can't do anything on my computer without it crashing. this never happened before I installed Nox.

Bundled with multiple malware now. Update offered no opt out option. Company has ignored multiple reports of this. Others have reported they did get an opt out screen, opted out, and still got the viruses and malware.

Yes, it in fact installs malware!! Apparently a recent addition. They've even 100% admitted that it's been bundled with their software on reddit, where many others are complaining about this issue.

DO NOT download this trash piece of garbage emulator. It gave me a malware which took me a while to remove and fcked up my pc in the process.

My experience is based on MacOS version. Tries to install some shady apps. If you ever let even one through, you'll have hard time getting rid of it. The player itself is seriously unstable. Games keep crashing no matter how many CPU cores and how much RAM you allocate. If a particular app needs to download some files from a remote server you can be 100% sure it won't finish - it'll crash several times during the process. Sometimes it wipes out all your data from the virtual device. Go with BlueStacks. While not perfect, it's several lengths in front of this garbage.

Installs unwanted apps and the terrible Segurazo Virus/spyware/malware/ "anti-virus" crap. IT IS HARD TO REMOVE IF YOU ARE NOT GOOD WITH COMPUTERS, still was a pain in my rear to get rid of and I'm good with computers.

Tried to install it today, it immediately started adding random apps onto my new pc. I was gladly able to contain it before it got too out of hand, but Never Again.

I'll never use Nox again

I got a new computer and decided to download Nox, and low and behold, it got bloatware, and a ton of it too! Pretty sure I also saw that my Window's instantly removed something by the name of "hack", I got scared

Took me an hour to remove everything, but finally I did.

What a terrible service you've become, and I've now installed BlueStacks on my computer instead

And I advice you all do too, don't support this shady program.

Oh and granted, I downloaded it from the official site, at first I blamed myself, thinking I downloaded from the fake one, but nope.

Installed malware and adware onto my computer. Took almost an hour to get rid of it all. Stay away at all costs
