Darren was an excellent teacher for my kids. He provides a very safe and supportive learning environment. Junior could control and ride his bike in less than 15mn which was surprising to me. He felt safe and supported in doing so and gained valuable feedback that helps him to improve.

My learn to ride lesson with bikehappy was a blast! Darren made it fun whilst taking me through the motions of learning how to ride and getting me there in 2.5 hours. I was nervous and reluctant to begin with however I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with bikehappy.

If you are an adult that never got around to learning how to ride as a child I would highly recommend Darren to take you through this learning curve. With his friendly, consistent coaching you will get there.

Such a brilliant experience, Darren was patient and got me cycling with confidence in no time. From having never gotten on a bike before to cycling my way around Battersea Park, definitely the best way to learn!

Learning to ride a bike has been on my bucket list for a while but at 44, I thought it was too late.
As soon as I arrived, Darren made me feel totally at ease and that continued throughout the lesson.
He was really patient and talked through what each stage of the lesson would entail.
He calm attitude meant that I didn't get flustered at all which gave me the confidence to realise I could do it.
I am so happy to say that after 2.5 hours, I can ride a bike!
I would highly recommend!

My 10yo daughter was convinced she was just not able to ride a bike and our numerous attempts to learn was only enforcing this. Two lessons later, she is riding happily. Amazing! - and I wish I'd done it sooner. Darren is totally calm and engaging, and took time upfront to understand the particular things my daughter was anxious about. It was very interesting to see how Darren broke everything down into small, fun and managable steps. A big thank you from both of us!

I have been wanting to learn to cycle for a while and tried unsuccessfully.
I joined Bike Happy and within a 90 min class, Darren had taught me how to cycle. He is a very kind, understanding and gentle coach and he follows the student and their pace.
I would definitely recommend Bike Happy to anyone( adult) who wishes to learn to cycle as it is worth it in all ways.

I had an amazing time with Darren today in Regents Park re-learning to cycle. After taking a major break from cycling and throwing off my balance in spin classes I had totally rocked my confidence. I was apprehensive on how successful a single session with Darren would be and I was very very nervous. Darren was amazing!!! He really took the time to practice cycling in stages and I felt very confident with my balance. Halfway in I was cycling! I honestly had such an amazing time, and I feel so excited to practice cycling again. Darren's patience and encouragement was so welcome and I really had a fun time. Can't recommend enough :)

Darren is a great teacher!!!!! I am so happy that I decided to learn cycle at age 26!😅better late then never😀 and choose Darren as instructor. And it feels immensely liberating to cycle. Thanks Darren! I recommend bike happy to anyone who wish to learn cycling😀

Darren was amazing in helping me to gain confidence cycling in traffic. Before our session I was very excited and scared at the same time as I have never cycled in traffic. His calm manner and positive approach put me at ease. He showed me some scenic route in Epping Forest and I was over the moon cycling in nature! I wish I had found him earlier!

I just can not recommend Darren enough! My daughter had the smoothest and fastest bicycle learning ever. After many attempts on our side ( and four bikes we had to buy each time we decide to train her again and realise she has became taller..), we decided to get the help from an expert.
And we were not disappointed!!! My daughter learned so quickly with Darren’s smooth, positive and friendly approach. It was in disbelief we we came home after the first hour with my daughter riding her bicycle! Thank you Darren!! The experience will certainly become a sweet memory for my daughter as I am sure we all remember our first bike ride.

Amazing results from Darren with my 6 yr old. He went from wobbly and uncertain to cycling confidently in less than 3 hours, I’m absolutely delighted! Darren is so friendly and encouraging, my son really enjoyed the lessons and wants to have more even though he doesn’t need them!

Exceptionally good service - despite reading lots of positive reviews and testimonials beforehand it still exceeded my expectations. Darren was really pleasant and easy to work with, combined with a clear and well explained approach to teaching and a great sense of when to provide feedback, increase challenge and work more on certain skills.
With his help I went from being unable to balance and ride at all on a bike to weaving between cones, around real world obstacles and starting to develop road riding skills like signalling and checking in al directions. We used both the small foldable bike Darren provides and a Santander bike to ensure I had a good sense of transferring skills across different riding experiences, which has made consolidating with practice on my own bike at home a much easier transition.
Overall I cannot recommend Darren and the company strongly enough - if you're wanting to learn to ride just go for it, you'll thank yourself for doing so!

Darren is an extremely patient, encouraging and approachable trainer, and to my surprise got me cycling in one enjoyable session, even though I’ve avoided cycling most of my life! I would highly recommend bikehappy.

Darren was super helpful, encouraging and supportive in teaching my 13 & 11 year old sons to cycle. His enthusiasm and calm advice helped them to be cycling within the hour. We look forward to using his tips and keeping going over the coming weeks.
