Basically fraudulent. Advertising a lie. If there is an ad that says 'Just $0.49 per ACH Transaction - Flat Fee ACH Payments', and this is what their website says, and then they call and explain to you that you need a $50+/ month subscription to access what they just said was 49 cents, this is fraudulent.

They hold onto vendor money for 30-45 days after they receive it, unless an instant transfer fee of a percentage of the total, not a fixed fee, is paid. Net30 customers become net60. If it were a fixed fee, and the difference was a week, then I might be ok with it, but making it a percentage of the invoice, and taking a month or more makes it clear they are intentionally overcharging for their service. They extend out payments rightfully due recipients and encouraging you to finance the money due to you for a charge. Scam and overcharging! Beware!

I've filed an invoice that has to go through Bill.com and it's a disaster. After demanding lots of personal info, the issues are proliferating. It's very time-consuming and I'm not getting paid--and I've spoken to them over and over.
Looking into some sort of legal redress or formal action.

Instant transfer feature appears to be the only way you can get paid upon receiving your initial email from the company. There is no notice that you will be charged a fee when you click on the "Get Paid Now" button and there are no other options for payment in the email - ie no "get paid now" or "get paid in three days" - like in Venmo for examplle which clearly spells out fees for instant transfers. Once you select "Get Paid Now" you are charged a fee each time you receive a client payment. You have to go into your account and turn off this default setting. There is no forum for filing a complaint with the company.

Bill.com is an absolute nightmare to deal with. A customer is trying to pay us, but we are unable to log into our account. Their support is completely useless—they refuse to help and seem to have no interest in resolving issues. Calling their phone number is pointless, as they just keep pushing you to a frustrating and ineffective chat system. It is clear they do not care about their customers or their business. If you value your time and money, avoid Bill.com at all costs.

Our clients that use Bill.com can't pay us unless we pay bill.com $59 ?
This is not right. We don't want any of bill.com's services, just our money. Everytime we try to resolve the issue with bill.com customer service, all we get is the run around. They are an unnecessary parasite on transactions that don't need them.
We specifically prohibit payment via bill.com in our contracts.

Shady sales practices. Don't fall for them saying you'll get something for doing a demo. I did a demo and signed up for the program, never received the offer. It's been a year, I've followed up a few times.
"Because you are an existing customer, if you chat with us about switching your AP software to BILL, we'll give you a Nintendo Switch™ just for taking a demo!"

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any company. They kept my accounts receivable held up in red tape, consistently pushing forward my deposit date until I finally cancelled my account. I highly advise everyone to avoid this nightmare!

BILL.com is holding my money hostage, bound in red tape. My organization (wisely) stopped using this service years ago. There was one payment to a vendor that bounced back a lifetime after it was initiated, and that bounce back occurred long after my account was closed. Well, these numb nuts can't send me that money because they will ONLY send it to the bank account that had been on file with BILL.com years ago, and that bank account has since been closed. I've provided my new information, but that's not good enough. They want letters from someone from the old bank, they want me to CC and get approval from four people from my team who were attached to our ancient BILL.com account, three of which haven't worked with us for years. It's the height of absurdity. And it's not even much money! The amount of time that they have exhausted running me in circles almost certainly cost 10x the amount that is frozen in purgatory -- and that isn't even taking into account the value of MY time. It's mind boggling how stupid this organization's practices are. And it wasn't even a good service when we actually tried to use it. In other words, do yourself a favor and avoid this organization; there are many superior options, and it doesn't take much to be superior to BILL.com.

aweful company. Take you money and hold it hostage with no way of getting thigns resolved.
update after their silly response below.
they reply like below and still do nothing of any value. grrrrrrr… 🤯😡

I had to sign up for Bill.com to begin accepting payments from my employer. I went through all of the necessary requirements and verification (which were so absurd to begin with that I legitimately questioned their legitimacy). I had to provide an image of my passport, my ID, a selfie with my passport, and my most recent bank statement.
I did so, and had to retake my perfectly clear images.
I did that too.
Sent that to them and after an entire TWO WEEKS finally got verified. However, I am now on my THIRD WEEK of trying to get verified because a day after I was verified, they closed my account telling me I WASN'T verified.
So... I took the photos again, because they said that they were blurry (they were not, obviously, they had already verified me), I sent them in, expecting to be verified (again).
I was not.
So here I am, on my third week of trying to be verified with some of the worst customer service (bordering on scam-like) I have EVER experienced with a company, I am a week from not being able to get paid, and they aren't even responding to my emails now.
Emails that I would rather not have to send, but have to because they are NOW requiring me to have a piece of mail with my name on it and it absolutely HAS to be either a lease or utility bill (I have neither of those at my address because I live with my mother).
Still waiting, and time is running short. If I don't get paid next weekend it falls on Bill.com. DO NOT trust them, DO NOT choose them.
Edit: There is a reply from Bill.com below, but don't take that as them caring and trying to help fix it. That isn't what it is, its just for their records.
I am still on my third week of fixing this, and now they're telling me I have to start all over.
UPDATE: I am currently in my fourth week of waiting to have my account shutdown appeal reviewed, no contact since I submitted my appeal.
My employer has agreed to pay me in another way (ACH) and it took just a few hours to get it all done. Bill.com required SO MANY VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS that it was MORE than I have EVER had to submit for ANYTHING, even my US Passport was easier to get than getting paid through Bill.com, that is INSANE.
Good riddance.

This company has the WORST customer service of ANY company I have dealt with in the past 15 years. I would rather recommend working with the Mafia than working with this group of scammers. I have a file folder with months of issues saved and NOTHING ever gets resolved. I am worried they are buying and selling personal info as they do not provide any true "service." It normally takes 2-3 weeks of constant phone calls to get ANYTHING resolved. They seem to work with an outsourced call center overseas, whose staff's only job is to put you on hold and as for a "fake manager." Then they keep you on hold for 55 minutes and hang up the phone call. If you want to hear the long list of horrible things they have done to me, please feel free to reach out and I will be happy to share what a scam of a company this is.
Having experience working with bill.com on both sides as a consultant and as an organization, I can tell you their customer service is nonexistent, they do not care about their clients or the people that are working for their clients. Multiple times I have had people complain about being charged instant transfer fees and not getting the money instantly. The only response thatbill.com had was “they got the money a day before so technically it still counts as instant, even though it was four days after payment was processed“ I highly recommend looking at other platforms to save yourself and your company the trouble.

Scam advertising scheme to get customer info.
They launched a LinkedIn inMail marketing campaign through which they'd offer you an amazon gift card to do a demo with them. Once you sign up, someone calls you and asks you a bunch of questions about your business, only to say that they somehow can't do a demo right now because the company isn't doing business/has expenses north of a quarter million dollars a year. How pathetic of an approach to get customer info.

I'm very worried to read all these reviews as I suffered the same issues. The service was always bad, but recently they requested lots of very very sensitive information, even a selfie holding my documents, and then deactivated my account.
I asked for a reason and they don't have one, they literally said that their policy (Section 7 of their ToS) allows them to not give me a reason or even notify me.
I believe this is another case of discrimination, as I'm reading in other reviews. Now I'm VERY worried that they have lots of very sensitive information from my company.

Was told by a rep that I would still get the designated gift card of 100.00 to Amazon even if my business wasn't eligible

I recently completed my driving lessons with Rayan Husain and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From the very first lesson, it was clear that Rayan Husain is not only highly skilled but also truly dedicated to helping students become confident and safe drivers.
What stood out the most was the support and encouragement I received. Rayan Husain helped me work through my mistakes without judgment. His positive reinforcement really boosted my confidence.
Thanks to Rayan Husain, I passed my driving test on the first try! I feel well-prepared to drive independently and safely. I highly recommend Rayan Husain to anyone looking for a driving instructor. Their professionalism, patience, and expertise make all the difference in the learning process.
Thank you, Rayan Husain for an amazing experience!
You will end up having to share a lot of company confidential information that they should not have access to, just to get onboarded.
Even if they activate your account, your account may suddenly get deactivated, and you may not be able to login or process your payments.
Add to that, we didn't see any additional benefits over what Stripe and others offer.
And, remember that you are bringing them business, not the other way around. So better customer support and platform is expected.
