We are absolutely delighted with the flooring throughout our entire flat. Ruslin, our head builder, was fantastic from start to finish. He took the time to clearly explain the whole process, which was especially helpful as we live in an old flat and ended up needing all the floors levelled.

He walked us through all the options in a really clear and honest way, making sure we understood what would work best for our space. The quality of the work is outstanding, and we couldn’t be happier with the end result.

He also gave us really thoughtful advice on flooring colours that would complement the rest of the flat while we were planning additional work, which we really appreciated.

The transformation is incredible — it has completely changed the feel of our home, and we’re so happy with it.

We are so happy with the kitchen installation and the plastering, painting and decorating carried out throughout our flat. Ruslin once again did an amazing job and the quality of the finish is outstanding.

He installed our kitchen to a very high standard and really took the time to make sure all the small details were perfect — from getting the under-cupboard lighting exactly how we wanted it, to making sure our dishwasher ran correctly despite being positioned far from a drain. Throughout the whole process, he kept us well updated on progress and clearly communicated what would be happening next and when each stage would be completed, which made everything feel very smooth and stress-free.

For the decorating work, he stripped wallpaper from the entire flat and replastered the walls beautifully. He also gave us really helpful advice on how to minimise future cracking, which was especially useful given our older property.

His painting team also did a fantastic job, especially with the lime wash finish — we absolutely love the end result. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with how everything has turned out and the transformation of our home.

Ruslan and his team have done several jobs in our house. Most recently they fitted our kitchen and have really done an excellent job. This included laying new engineered wood floors, repainting, adding lights into the ceiling, creating new electric outlets and then finally fitting the kitchen.

The crew have worked 10 hour days consistently to get our kitchen done after having terrible delays from Wren. This included bank holidays and weekends! We genuinely are so happy with our kitchen and it is our new favourite room.

The service provided by Bily Renovation Painting and Decorating was excellent. They painted all the walls, ceilings and woodwork in a three bedroom flat with two bathrooms, in Edinburgh. The customer left all the furniture in position and the paintings were left on the walls. The team moved all the furniture and paintings and replaced them at the end of the job. The proprietor always presented a friendly, positive and professional attitude. Communications were first class with regular updates on the progress of the work. This company was chosen by competitive tender. The work was done on time and at the price tendered, without any additional costs.

I’m really happy with the decorating work carried out in a flat in the heart of Edinburgh. The team showed great attention to detail and precision, delivering a flawless finish throughout. Professional, efficient, and highly recommended.

Ruslan and his team did a superb job from the beginning, giving us a good quote and a starting a big job very quickly. They stripped the layers of wallpaper off from all the walls - which was a process that cost a little more than just painting over the wallpaper - but we’re so glad we did that, as the final result was really great, as Ruslan promised and gave the flat a real “wow” factor.

The kitchen and bathroom (we asked for quite a complicated design on the bathroom, including new wooden panelling) also both look fantastic.

Over the course of the work Ruslan was always available on the phone or in person and he was really pleasant to work with. And his team were also great, the two Sasha’s doing a number of additional last minute jobs like moving radiators, changing light fixtures and reinstalling another induction hob after the first model we bought was faulty.

Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ruslan and his talented team for any work you might be thinking of doing. As other reviews have noted, Ruslan is one of the good guys. There was a real dedication to a high standard of work and we’re absolutely delighted with our new look flat. Thanks Ruslan and team!

Bily renovations removed a stud wall in my home and painted walls. The team arrived on time, were pleasant and finished the job to a good standard and only slightly over agreed timelines (because unexpected pipes were found that had to be worked around). Good people.

5-Star Basement Renovation – Highly Recommended

Ruslan and his team transformed our cold, damp basement room into a warm, welcoming space for our staff – and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

From the beginning, Ruslan was polite, friendly, and professional. He came out promptly to provide a quote and followed up with a detailed breakdown within a few days. After meeting with around 10 different builders, we chose Ruslan based on the many positive reviews and his reassuring approach. Choosing a builder had been difficult for me, especially given past bad experiences, but Ruslan quickly put my mind at ease.

One of the things that really stood out was Ruslan’s excellent communication. He always got back to us quickly, kept us informed at every stage, and made sure we understood what was happening — especially when unexpected issues came up.

The work began the following week. Two members of his team handled the bulk of the job and worked incredibly hard every day – especially given the challenge of carrying all materials down into the basement. Ruslan took care of sourcing all the core materials, while I ordered items like the doors, toilet suite, light switches, and sockets. He was extremely helpful throughout, advising me on exactly what to get.

During the renovation, the team uncovered an issue with the ceiling due to a previous water leak. While this added some cost, Ruslan communicated everything clearly and made sure we understood what was needed. I felt confident that the job was being done properly, with a focus on long-term quality.

The renovation took around five weeks in total, and Ruslan returned afterward to take care of a few minor snagging items – though there wasn’t much at all. I also really appreciated that he encouraged us to contact him with any future concerns, which can sometimes feel awkward with tradespeople.

Another huge plus was how they worked around our café’s hours – locking up each evening after we had left, and causing no disruption to the business throughout the whole project.

Overall, I would highly recommend Ruslan and his team. Their work is top-quality, fairly priced, and carried out with great care and professionalism. They have done a fantastic job turning the basement into a space we’re delighted with!

Great work, good prices and fast installation

Bily renovation have just completed some work in my Edinburgh flat and I could not recommend them more highly. They completed a wall repair, painting and decoration, renovation of my front door and some tiling and mirror installation to a bathroom. Ruslan and his team worked carefully but quickly and to a high standard.
They came up wjth good solutions to problems and sorted out some extra jobs along the way. They are a very good team and I would be happy to use them again.
