Bitcoinist App is a Bitcoin mining app for iPhone. Your phone is a remote control, not a miner. The app lets you rent real Bitcoin mining hashrate, measured in terahashes per second (TH/s), from professional data centers. That hashrate runs 24/7 off-device, whether your phone is on or off. You do not need to buy ASIC hardware, manage cooling, or pay electricity bills. Bitcoinist handles the infrastructure; you collect the Bitcoin. Inside the app, you earn diamonds by watching short educational videos. Diamonds are the in-app currency used to rent hashrate and start mining. A VIP subscription is also available, granting a 20% bonus on diamonds earned. The more you watch and learn, the more hashrate you can put to work. The app includes the Bitcoin Academy, a free video curriculum built for Bitcoin for beginners. Topics cover what Bitcoin is, how Bitcoin mining works, proof-of-work, how to set up a Bitcoin wallet, and how self-custody works. Each lesson is short and jargon-free, designed to help users learn Bitcoin before they start spending diamonds on hashrate. Bitcoinist offers two mining pool options. Public pool mining runs through Ocean Mining with a 2% fee. Private pools are available with zero commission, coinbase payouts, and support for connecting external ASIC hardware. Both options pay out in satoshis to a Bitcoin wallet address you configure in the app, with a 7,000 sat minimum payout threshold. Bitcoinist does not take custody of your Bitcoin at any point. The app suggests open-source wallet options that support self-custody, including Blockstream Green, Keeper, Muun, Phoenix, Nunchuk, and AQUA. Bitcoinist is operated by a licensed company registered under RAK DAO in the United Arab Emirates. The app backend runs on AWS. Mining is performed at separate professional facilities. The app is available on the Apple App Store.
