Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people expressed significant dissatisfaction with payment issues, reporting billing discrepancies and difficulties with managing recurring payments. Reviewers also found the subscription process problematic, citing unexpected conversions from trials to paid subscriptions and a lack of clear cancellation options within the app or on the website. Some people were dissatisfied with the app itself, mentioning that it was not accurate, crashed frequently, or lacked essential features. However, a few other people also felt that the app was engaging, easy to use, and helpful for tracking food and calories, with some appreciating its unique features like the ability to type out meals for analysis.

Their refund policy is misleading

Their refund policy is misleading. They advertise a money-back guarantee, but in reality you must use the app to qualify. If you realize immediately that the app isn’t for you and request a refund, it’s still denied. Not customer-friendly at all.

Hello! Thanks for sharing your experience — we understand why that would feel frustrating.

The money-back guarantee is meant to distinguish between users who are clearly dissatisfied and those whose first impression might change after actually trying the app. In many cases, apps can feel unfamiliar or underwhelming at first glance, but become more useful once key features are explored. Requiring some level of usage helps ensure that refund decisions are based on real experience rather than a first impression that could shift after a bit of time with the product.

We’re always ready to issue a refund if you can provide confirmation of your usage time. You can email us at hi@bitepal.app anytime to get your refund.
