Black Sheep was established in 1992 by Paul Theakston when the brewery run by his family for a number of generations, T&R Theakstons, was sold to a national brewery. Paul, the 'Black Sheep' of the family, set up his own brewery in the same town, Masham, to brew quality beer.

I should have learnt by now

I should have learnt by now. 2 previous ocassions things were lost and damaged at Evri after they confirmed receipt of the goods from Black Sheep,I have once again received only 1 case instead of 2.
Whilst clearly Evri are culpable it is impossible to speak to anyone at Black Sheep ( other than visitor centre who cannot help save give an email address that doesnt respond )
I know what I think is happening to my beer with Evri but Black Sheep have the responsibility of getting goods to me.
This is such a shame as I love the beer. Looks all over for the company,
I just want to speak to a human being who might just have helped m`e.

Order Issues Resolved

My order placed on 20th November was delayed as Blacksheep changed over their webpage and orders were lost. Took a few weeks to complete as a result, also issue with EVRI but good customer service from BS and will shop again as beer is great.

Money recovered using charge back

I ordered 5 X 8 packs of Bitter on 23 November with the money immediately taken. After a week with no contact or beer I emailed twice with no response,
I raised a charge back with Barclays and on 28th December was informed by them that I had been given a full refund.
Black Sheep beers are still sold in Supermarkets so presumably online orders dropped to the bottom of the administrators list of things to do. I was reminded to write this review after receiving an email from them trying to flog 0% beers for dry January.

I won’t be ordering again.

Do not order from Black Sheep

My wife ordered their beer advent calendar in November but we have not received the product. Have called several times but there is no one in customer service you can speak to. Have spoken to Meghan several times and she promised someone would call me back but they still haven’t done so. Was also promised a refund 3 weeks ago but it still hasn’t been received. Worst experience ever. Think twice before you buy anything from Black Sheep Brewery

Should be shut down. Cannot be trusted.

Awful. Promised delivery never arrived. After a month of chasing a refund I never received anything. Spoke to area managers, consulatants- all promised refunds and yet it never arrived. My bank has had to intervene. Do not trust these people. They will rob you.

Placed order for Megadeath beer on 22nd…

Placed order for Megadeath beer on 22nd November. They happily took my money out my bank on the 25th. Contacted via email still no response. Called customer service on 2nd December and was spun a story about the wrong website and was put on a spreadsheet and order would be with me in 48hrs we are now on 17th December and had no communication from anyone. Terrible service won't be buying from this company ever again.

Placed an order on 19/11. Still nothing received despite numerous Emails requesting a delivery date or refund. Was also charged £9.95 postage. Disappointing service & will NEVER order again…

Absolutely disaster experience of the…

Absolutely disaster experience of the online store.
Please take your business elsewhere - my order was done in 4 consignments - 3 of which did not arrive by that useless courier company Evri.
Efforts to contact Evri just gives automated email response.
Efforts to contact Black Sheep Brewery - so far 3 emails and none responded too.
Efforts to get refund - not responded too.

Terrible brewery - steer clear!

Order never received and awful customer service.

Beer advent calendar ordered in November on a 4 day delivery. Now 9th December and still not received. Daily phone calls, to be either told that the item has been despatched and I would get a tracking number or I would get a call back by the end of the day, neither of which ever happened, they are now offering a refund. At least I am getting my money back but receiving the item that I ordered would have been preferable. I will never order anything from them again as their order and customer service process is awful. Very disappointing.

Disappointed

Disappointed. I’ve always been an avid black sheep supporter and had previously ordered many cases on line. Like many other review’s recently my 2-4 days delivery failed to arrive and there was no response to my e-mail from the customer services team.

I have read that the parent company Keystone is in financial trouble so won’t be ordering any more.

Well what can I say,4 WEEKS AGO!!!

Well what can I say,4 WEEKS AGO!!!! I ordered 12 rattlehead ipa beers (Megadeth beers). The website said order before 2pm and get NEXT DAY delivery!
WELL, 4 WEEKS later I STILL haven't received ANYTHING AT ALL!!!
I've rang up FOUR TIMES NOW asking what's happening with my order! each time I get a respond " oh I'm sorry to hear this, we shall find out what's happening and we will give you a call back" I've NOT had any call back from you AT ALL! and I'm STILL WAITING for my order!

You was happy to take my money fast wasn't you, but you won't send orders out!
AVOID BUYING ANY PRODUCTS FROM THESE! It's pretty clear they don't care about their CUSTOMERS!
LET THEM GO OUT OF BUSINESS!

Undelivered

I ordered a case of beer on the 5th November and it is now the 24th November and it has still not arrived after paying for a 2-4 day delivery. I have phoned and emailed and still nothing. I should have just gone to the supermarket, it would have been quicker.

Not a happy customer.

Ordered 12 cans of Rattlehead IPA and paid £9.95 for 2 to 4 days delivery. 6 days later, no beer, no reply to email, no reply from customer service. Very unhappy as these were for a gift.

AVOID!

I ordered a case of Megadeath Beer by Blacksheep Beer. (Company name Blacksheep Brewery, Wellgarth Masham, Yorkshire. England HG4 4EN United Kingdom.

Ordered on 23rd October. Never arrived!
I emailed them on their website site address on 6th November only to have no response.
I phoned them on the 11th November and spoke to a Connor on number given: 01765 680701 to be told they would send another. Nothing arrived.
I phoned them 18th November and spoke to Lucy and she would send one out and it would arrive today. Nothing arrived! I’ve had no refund no beer. Avoid! I’ve now reported this company to trading standards.
I can’t help but feel they are called ‘Black Sheep’ because they fleece customers!

I put an order in 2 weeks ago . I still aint received at all. Paid for next day delivery still not happened. Its a disgrace. But when you order blacksheep off amazon you get it. Something not right with all this.

Absolutely appalling customer care

Absolutely appalling customer care. Ordered 4 cases 4 weeks ago 2 arrived still waiting for the others. Even had confirmation from Evri they've lost the parcel!!!No response from their customer care for weeks. When did respond fobbed off with i'll escalate it to no avail. Won't be buying anything else from here. Stay away.

Great Brewery visit - let done badly by online service

Visited the brewery whilst on the area which was lovely. Loved their hedgerow cider so when we got home ordered a case online. No confirmation email, waited a few weeks then tried to contact company which was impossible! Called shop several times who stated they would pass on my details - no-one ever got in touch. Emailed several times - no reply. Called the sales number - unable to get through - just rang out. Eventually found an email on tripadvisor reply who directed me to a sales team member who stated she would re send ciders which she did but completely wrong address in another part of the company . Went through whole process again and eventually ciders were delivered.
Thought this was a one off and ordered again as new message on website stating delivery in 2-4 days or next day if ordered before 2pm. Unfortunately not true! Again money taken, no confirmation email and no ciders. No-one answering emails or calls. What a sham. The company should be ashamed of such poor customer service . Although I love the cider, I will not be ordering again .
