Blake & Bull lived up to their excellent reputation and delivered a first class service from the initial contact to the completed installation. Questions and queries, however trivial, were answered promptly and comprehensively. Great care was taken during the installation to make sure that our Aga, which had been dismantled and stored for close to 30 years, re-emerged looking better than ever! Many thanks to Sam and Paul for a friendly, trouble-free installation and to Emma and Chris for their help from the office.

Blake and Bull refurbished and converted our old oil-fired Aga to electric. We were impressed with the whole team, both those we had direct contact with and those more behind the scenes. We were grateful for the clear and friendly contact, information and guidance that we received, starting with our initial visit to the Hartley Farm showroom. We were very happy with Joel and David’s work at our house. Throughout the day they were both friendly, cheerful, hard working, polite, respectful and made it easy for us to peep at what they were doing at regular intervals. We can thoroughly recommend Blake & Bull.

Yesterday Paul came to clean the Aga in the house where I work as a housekeeper, he was punctual courteous and respectful of the property, his attention to detail was amazing and our Aga looks as gleaming as when it was installed, everything was clean and tidy when he finished and I know my very fastidious Boss will be extremely happy, I will be calling on him again, I also have no hesitation in recommending Blake And Bull to anyone 👍👍

The most efficient and helpful engineer converted our gas Aga to electric. Brilliant work from 8am to passed 6pm. The whole experience from the first contact some six months ago to today has been faultless. No praise is high enough, thank you.

Yet again outstanding service from Blake and Bull. We had our old Aga re-enamelled a couple of years ago and I wasn’t ready to go for the electric conversion. Having just come off a fixed rate for gas it seemed the time was right! The company talked me through the whole process and assured me I would still have the warm heart of the house.
Daniel came last week and was amazing from start to finish answering any questions I had as he went along. When he’d finished the kitchen was spotless.
I can’t fault Blake and Bull; from re-enamelling to e-conversions to all of their extras. So glad I found you.

We were very pleased indeed with the whole experience of converting our Aga through Blake & Bull. Throughout the preparatory stage communications were prompt and helpful. On the day it was great to have such a competent engineer to carry out the work expertly and without fuss or mess.
We were a little anxious that an electric Aga would not provide the same ambient warmth but we need not have worried because so far even with the oven kept at 180 the kitchen is very comfortable.

My visit to the showroom was an enjoyable experience. I was given clear explanations of the product and process and could see what the finished article looked like.
All subsequent communication was polite, professional and wonderfully prompt. They supported me supported throughout the process and any questions were answered without fuss. I never had to wait more than 30 minutes for someone to get back to me if the phone wasn't answered immediately.
I opted for the finance package and that was a surprisingly painless process.
The engineer arrived promptly on the allocated date and got on with the job without fuss. Everything was left clean and tidy. We were coached through the basic operating instructions and left a crib card in case we needed it whilst being encouraged to contact Blake and Bull if we needed anything.
The Aga cooks really well. It does take a while to heat up but works exactly as promised and this is something I am adapting to from the old oil fired system. It is wonderful to have the flexibility to turn it off overnight or for a longer period without the drama of relighting.

I have given myself 6 months to get used to our electric AGA since it was converted from gas in August 2023. My conclusion is that there is no such thing as a Simmering Oven once you convert your AGA to electric with Electrickit. Your AGA becomes a single controllable electric oven cooker.

With the main top oven set at any temperature above 180 degrees for cooking, the lower oven will always follow the top oven temperature and be around 30-40 degrees below the top oven. This is because the Electrickit heating element sits between the two main ovens on a two oven AGA.

Blake and Bull have said that Simmering Oven temperatures are wildly different Aga to Aga, but users need to understand their AGA will not work like their AGA used to after conversion and bear this in mind if they regularly use both ovens to cook.

Blake and Bull converted our gas AGA to an electric one just over two years ago (in November 2021).

We had had a gas AGA since 2008 and it was a very much-loved part of our kitchen (but costly to run!). In 2021, when refitting the kitchen, it seemed the ideal time to look at a more cost-effective way to run it.

I have been a customer of Blake and Bull since 2016, when I started buying their fantastic cookware. Their customer service is excellent, so they were the obvious choice when we were thinking about the conversion to electric.

The conversion process was well managed from start to finish and we were informed of the preparation work that needed to be done prior to the engineers arriving. The conversion went without a hitch!

The reason for writing this review 2 years on….we are in the process of moving house and are unfortunately leaving our AGA behind. But I just wanted to say how pleased we have been with the conversion.

Initially, it took a bit of adjusting to - turning it on when required! But the ability to just turn on one hob or turn the simmering oven on, without the need to have everything on, has been amazing.

On the rare occasion we have needed to call Blake and Bull, their customer service is outstanding and I would highly recommend them if you are thinking of making the conversion to electric.

I am already trying to work out how to fit an AGA into my new kitchen(!) and I will have no hesitation to return to Blake and Bull to buy one!

Ross the Engineer was great and spent over 5 hours with us re enamelling our Aga . Worked very hard and fast and kept us informed at every stage checking with us along the way. When our oil tank split at the start of winter we finally took the decision to convert to electric after a long time considering it. We are so glad we did our house is warm again and the aga looks as classic as ever but it’s nice to know it isn’t chugging oil. We are getting used to having a bit control over it which makes it much more flexible. I can’t fault Blake & Bull they were clear and responsive and fitted us in quickly. Ross did a great job on the install and was really friendly and very tidy. Thanks so much!

Sam, my aga fitter was excellent, a mine of information who could answer all of my questions. I've had different Agas down many years but never experienced the level of care demonstrated by this company.

We first started looking to upgrade/refurbish our 13 amp electric Aga around September 2023 and quickly came across Blake and Bull. For us, it was a big decision and took a while. Despite us changing our minds a few times, B and B were unfailingly helpful and patient, guiding us towards the best solution and seeing through the entire project with efficiency and good humour. Unquestionably, we made the right choice.

Blake & Bull gave us perfect attention to detail, thoughtful and generous speedy reponses, all of course backed up by a beautiful transformed Aga now installed in a new kitchen .

We had 25 for Christmas. Two 6 kg turkeys, squeezed into the top oven. Then we went away to recover. And came back to an Aga which wouldn't go above 180°C. Which is more of a problem when the only heating in the kitchen is the Aga and it's the coldest spell for a long time. Despair. Had the two 6 kg monsters, pressing against the sides of the oven, wrecked it? So we phoned Blake & Ball for Help. Problem solved. Some interfering *!?* had altered the temperature setting to 180°C. Warmth returned in an hour.

The whole proccess of making the decision to convert our Aga from oil fired to electricity was made easy by all of the staff at Blake and Bull, from which conversion to any additionals and when it was to happen. For us the Aga and similar cookers had been a major part of our kitchen for over 25 years, so it wasn’t something we wanted to change drastically. The technicians were excellent, proffessional, efficient, courteous and helpful when making the installation, leaving no mess, in fact the Aga looked like a new one when they had finished. We are starting to learn how best to use it now with the new installation and so far the results are very pleasing.
We can’t praise Blake and Bull enough!
