Disappointed to find main building covered in sheeting and scaffold. Major building works in progress.
There is a limited number of rooms to see.
The maze was shut.
The walled garden scruffy.
The house garden was off bounds.
It would be a better experience and value to spend your money on the National Trust (lots of places countrywide).
The highlights were the butterfly house and the view from the roof.
Poor value at around £40 each, PLUS charges for other things such as the children's playground; we've got you now to be fleesed. All part of the experience.

Today I called Blenheim palace as I’m due to go to a concert this Friday
I was fully expecting that the shuttle from car park to palace entrance to be continuing throughout the night as it’s a accessibility issue for all of us that struggle .
They told me the shuttle was finishing at 4.30pm 🤔
So I was directed to nocturne itself who simply said access to the palace was not their problem 🤔🤔😨😨
So for all of us that may require help from the car park to the palace and then again later in the evening (despite I’m sure Blenheim palace making a killing)
Unless you have a way of getting back to car park later after the concert ….we are all going to struggle .
In short Blenheim Palace you are only accessible in office hours which is very short of being accessibility venue
I think if your offering concerts etc with accessibility then that should be throughout the event not just office hours
This is a incredibly long walk simply just from the car park let alone to our seated areas

I have been a few times this year my last visit was March for dinner when I had finished I was told sorry the shuttle had finished it was 5,30 for god sake absolute outrage

Be careful when buying tickets. I accidentally bought my tickets from TIGETS company-1st on website. We hen we got to Blenheim we were informed that the tickets did not qualify for Annual Passes as they had not been bought on Blenheim Palace website. We will have to pay again whe going to see the Christmas activities. MY FAULT but be careful where you buy your tickets. Visit was BRILLIANT

My partner and I were seasonal members and one day I wanted to call into the shop. I had my membership card but my partner didn’t as she wasn’t going in so didn’t bring it.
Upon entering the grounds we were met by security guards who didn’t know we were members and told us to get tickets at the ticket office.
Unfortunately my partner said she didn’t have her ticket with her - not that it mattered as I was going into the grounds, not her, and then they started to treat us like ticket dodgers.
Ticket checks are carried out at the admission barrier, not here, as many who pass this point don’t have any tickets and purchase tickets later, so the fact my partner didn’t have a ticket at this point shouldn’t have mattered.
We were treated abruptly. The security guards tried to be difficult and said it wasn’t allowed for her to wait in the car while I went inside the palace.
We have never been back since and consequently not renewed our memberships.

Blenheim have gone against the wishes of British Triathlon and are charging every adult spectator £31 to support competitors, even family members and those transporting competitors to the event. No other triathlon event charges spectators. Blenheim Palace Customer services tried to make out this was not their decision to charge £31 but they are the ones who made the decision.

Bought full price tickets (£41 each) but used £6 of Tesco vouchers. Many interesting parts of the palace were closed for refurbishment (no advance warning!) Roof terrace wasn’t open and alternative displays were very poor. Tickets only lasted a day but could upgrade to an annual pass on the day for another £10 each. Annual passes are free with £41 tickets unless you buy any part of your ticket through Tesco club card. Absolute rip off. Very very poor. I’ve complained but the palace staff couldn’t care less. If you do go (and there’s much better value for money places in my opinion in the beautiful Cotswolds) take a packed lunch as small sausage rolls are £8 each!!

Far too expensive entrance fee for no staff to inform you on anything. No labels or written information on paintings and other artifacts. So much work going on, rooms closed that entrance price should be temporarily reduced!
The cafe prices are totally unacceptable, £11 for a plain egg and cress??? The flat white coffee was disgusting and the worst I've ever had anywhere. Too milky, weak and presented in a big mug?? Correct flat white comes in a cup and saucer and has double shot coffee with a little milk. Mine was undrinkable. The selfhelp station for napkins, milk and cutlery was untidy, uncared for and not refilled. 100% dissapointment.

We had friends over from abroad and planned a trip to Blenheim Palace as we have been there many times, and it is a beautiful place. We parked in Woodstock village and walked to Blenheim Palace from there. We were stopped at the gate asking to show our tickets. We have never had any tickets just to walk the grounds at Blenheim Palace. Now she told us that 1 ticket was £41 each!!! We were 4 of us and we had invited our guests. She told us that the ticket includes inside the palace...... but no dogs. We had our dog with us as we wanted a nice stroll around the park. So of course we turned around and were so disappointed. How come that Blenheim Palace can charge £41 per person to have a walk in the park? It is ridiculous. Going to their website, trying to send them an email, the link does not work. And I saw here on Trustpilot, that they never reply to any reviews at all. Absolutely appalling.

I'd give this place a negative-1 if it was possible. It may be better to visit here in 5 yrs time after all the renovations are completed and gardens matured so visitors can see the finished product.
We visited today and were totally underwhelmed considering the extortionate entrance fee.Its a really beautiful estate but way too overpriced considering all the scaffolding and closed off sections and bare uninspiring muddy gardens everywhere. Even the cafes are a total rip off with overpriced cake and sausage rolls @£10 each ( yes,not joking !! ) The unlimited visits offer included in the ticket is irrelevant as we wouldn't even bother with a second visit. Join the National Trust for £99pa. Much better value and tons of beautiful places like Waddesdon Manor and Stowe to visit !!

I drove to Blenheim Palace from South Wales on Saturday 12th April. quite a few years ago I scattered my mum and dads ashes in the grounds. I arrived at the Woodstock entrance and the lady serving stated I could not gain access without purchasing tickets to the Palace. I stated that I only required access to the surrounding grounds. The lady said no access to grounds without purchasing tickets, which were £82 for myself and my wife. I walked away very upset, but a local man walking his dog heard what had been said and guided me down to the main road where full access is available to the whole of the grounds free of charge. I love Blenheim Palace, but the experience with that lady was very unnecessary.

Worst Christmas Lights,Market and House I have ever been too!
Absolutely disgusting! Husband slipped over in the muddy pathway as did other guests. Demanded our money back and got it as did others. Wires everywhere! Only a few rooms open in house. Market stalls well overpriced. All very disappointing. Would never go back or recommend.

Visited in November got the needed buggy to the gate but was told by the awfully rude driver that they don’t do a return.common sense tells you if people need a lift to get in they need a lift to get out.went to the illuminations asked ,as a disabled person, if I would be able to walk the neatly two mile trail. I was given a wheelchair and my friend offered to push.After the first 100 yards the smooth ground gave way to loose gravel and mud.impossible to push so I had to get out and push it round myself up and down slopes and uneven ground often where the lights were off so could t see where we were going. I had to stop and sit for a while when I felt I needed to rest. Other people were also pushing empty chairs. After 2 1/4 hours we got to the end where another person couldn’t go any. further and had to wait for help.supposedly 90 mins was the quoted time for it. As no buggy was available a kindly helper found a wheelchair and wheeled me to the coach. This was a clear contravention of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

A really demoralising and unChristmassy experience, but very on brand for another historic house to try and gouge people for as much money as possible for a Christmas 'experience'. This type of crap should be outlawed, saw so many disappointed people and children, the whole things was excessive and poorly executed.

I have been looking forward to visiting Blenheim for years and the opportunity finally presented itself during our recent Xmas visit to the UK. I was eager to experience its timeless beauty, from its grand architectural design to its priceless artworks. Sadly, what should have been a serene and awe-inspiring experience was marred by the overwhelming and garish Christmas decorations. The rooms, typically filled with history and elegance, were instead drenched in cheap plastic and shiny baubles, which seemed entirely out of place amidst such architectural grandeur.

To make matters worse, the rooms were purposely darkened to allow the decorations to "simmer" under the dim light, as if the tacky plastic decorations and smoke bellowing displays could somehow elevate the experience. Instead, the darkened spaces only accentuated the clutter, drawing attention away from the stunning features of the house and artwork. The focus was no longer on the beauty of the rooms or the delicate brushstrokes of the paintings, but rather on an overwhelming display of holiday excess.

It felt almost sacrilegious to fill such a historically significant space with so much shiny, disposable tat. The muted lighting, combined with the garish decorations, created an atmosphere that was more kitsch than classy, and the wonder of the stately rooms was entirely lost. While I appreciate the festive spirit, it was hard to reconcile the spirit of Christmas with the grandeur of a stately home when the two seemed in such stark contrast.

I left feeling disappointed, wishing the house had been allowed to shine in its natural elegance, unburdened by the distractions of over-the-top decorations. Perhaps in the future, the holiday cheer could be more tastefully incorporated, allowing the beauty of the home to truly take center stage. Alternatively, in my humble opinion they should all be removed to outside - along with the other garish and over the top Christmas tat!

I paid £37 per person for the afternoon tea experience at Blenheim Palace.
What a disappointment and total waste of money.
The quality of the food and the selection was disgusting. Such a poor range and very limited.
Please do not waste your money.

My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) went to try out The GREAT Skate at Blenheim on Monday 23rd December 2024 and what a big disappointment it was. It was hardly GREAT. A tiny space sectioned out in front of the palace, barely much length to skate, crammed with far too many people and STUPIDLY OVERPRICED. We paid £74 for the tickets, a non-optional £2.50 service fee and another £10 for parking to spend 45 minutes skating with nothing else available to do than spend more money on silly little stalls. Ridiculous! Will not be going there again and would advise you all to not waste your money! If anything I want my money back.

Their therms and conditions are made for customer to cannot cancel the booking and be refunded, no mather do you paid extra and choce "Refundable". Two days now I am with 38.9 degrees temperature, fighting a pneumonia, but their greedines is so great, so I have been told, that I have two choices, to lose all money or to go there in the condition I am. Be worned, you are booking tickets for this palase, and whatever happened, you cannot cancel your reservation and you are going to lose your money. And the tickets for this palase are not cheap at all.

I ordered tickets to take my family to Blenheim Palace for the illuminated light trail it cost me £120 plus £10 for car parking. The night we was booked in to go it was cancelled due to adverse weather. Fine i reached out to rebook the website wasn't working. I wrote an email in to customer services to try rebook. They say they will get back to me within 48hrs 6 days later i get a response!!! The response asks me for days we can reschedule to go i give them dates 0 response for another 5 days i then get a refund thinking i can just rebook however im then told they will withold my money for 20 WORKING DAYS!!!!!! So funny enough just before christmas this time of year and these days i dont have another £130 spare to rebook whilst i wait for my money to be returned!!! The least they could do after messing me around for so long and now my promise will be broken to my young children is either send me my money back immediately or give me new tickets. This is my first review i have thousands of followers on various social media sites i will blast this company every where absolute shambles sickening ruined my children's Christmas the one thing they wanted you disgust me!

We booked tickets to visit the Christmas display at Blenheim. But our tickets for the 7th December were cancelled due to the high winds. Whilst I agree that safety should come first, Ticketek and Blenheim have not been in a hurry to refund us. We are still waiting for a refund. My elderly mother, who bought the tickets as a Christmas treat is still £150 out of pocket.

Paid for an annual pass earlier in the year with the expectation of visiting the palace at Christmas time.
I checked the terms and conditions at the time of purchasing the tickets and was informed there would be no extra cost to see the palace or the light display apart from certain days and prior to certain times.
Todays visit was a complete disaster, we had to pay to get into the house and we had to pay an extra £30 each to look at lights ( we didn’t) this was completely contrary to the original T&Cs when we bought the annual pass in October. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY FOLKS. I don’t know why I’m surprised, I suppose I expected some form of decency from the Churchill family.
