This is my second time ordering from BdC, this time going for the Missak aviator for a lighter canvas alternative to the leather Zoom which I have been using for the past 2 years. The quality of both products are impeccable, and hold up extremely well to normal wear and tear with little to no signs of use. The delivery was also extremely quick - 2 business days from France to the UK even with the customization option!
Honestly could not recommend this brand enough, and will definitely be reordering again as new models are released.

I bought a rucksack from Bleu de Chauffe and it arrived with a manufacturing defect, which the company has acknowledged. I don’t want a brand-new bag to be repaired, especially since waxed canvas never looks the same after a repair. Quality control should prevent issues like this before shipping.
Because I’m outside the EU, I also had to pay significant import duties—30% of the purchasing price!—, which complicates the situation. I’m currently waiting for a fair solution from Bleu de Chauffe and will update this review once the matter is resolved.
+++ So another support of Bleu de Chauffe said it's not a manufacturing defect, but a simple oversight by the workshop. They offered a refund, but not for the substantial import tax. Then they offered a discount, which I accepted – only to receive a discount for a further purchase. Upon insisting to get a discount on the product in question, Bleu de Chauffe reacted quickly, finally.
Don't know if it's the French attitude or if I should simply accept a finishing similar to a product ordered in China, I thought I paid a premium price for a premium product. Took some effort and can live with the result.

Great company and service. Sandra was very helpful in sorting out a repair for my leather bag. The customer service was excellent they sorted it quickly and effectively. The leather quality is the best I’ve seen great company and great service.

Brought a bag which is expensive, was not made aware of customs fee
Paid fee and bag never arrived, was returned back to France. So out of pocket £70 with no bag
My biggest issue was the lack of compassion from the owner of company she appeared via email not to care and was not solution focused. In all the years I have purchased items online, this is hands down the worst service ever

Awful customer service, scam for additional money at delivery with no notice.
I live in the UK - nowhere did they mention I would have to pay an additional 70 GBP customs fee (on an already extremely expensive bag), AND collect from the Royal Mail in Acton, a 2-hour drive from my home. I could not speak with anyone other than their AI chatbox customer service. I would never order again, and advise NO ONE ELSE DO.

Only reason for mr writing here is to get some answer from customer service.
I ordered a Cartalo cartridge belt bag for 125 euro 09/21/2024 order number RLFXUGVMH.
Waited patiently for a month and started asking where is the order since the tracking number wasn't working at all. Order ended up not being delivered and most probably stolen or lost in France. Im in Croatia so it wasn't supposed to be a big trip since we are both in EU.
After some digging found an customer service employee (Thierry Batteux) who tried to help at first in Februray but stopped responding.
I understand sometimes things get misplaced, stolen and in general take a long time to be delivered but cannot accept ghosting customers! To this day no reply or explanation.
BTW I bought from the same company Woody backpack and quality is perfect.
Don't know what else to do except provoke an explanation from them this way. Sad it had to come to this.
The products feel and look very well made. Unlike most products today there are no loose threads or blemishes. Feels high quality all around ( and a lovely leathery smell). And like someone a person was genuinely was proud to make. Wonderful

The cut is just right, not too boxy and not too slim. I particularly like a collar that holds up well after several washings. Just wish the T came in multiple colors!!

However, I would have loved to oder size "M" but this is not available. Please produce next time the New color(s) also in size "M".

a short follow-up on my experience with Bleu de Chauffe. After contacting Parcelforce and retrieving the lost bag my packet arrived and Thierry from Bleu de Chauffe proved helpful and conciliatory. In the end the story went wrong due to post-Brexit customs chaos.
