Wrong car and unexpected additional cost

During my vacation, I rented a car through Blitz. I was drawn in by their flashy website and attractive prices. I booked a VW Tiguan for 675 AED to pick up at Al Maktoum Airport.
After booking the car, all communication was handled via WhatsApp. Although the responses were not very quick, they were friendly. Later in the communication, it became clear that the car would be delivered by a driver at the airport, as they did not have an office or pick-up point there. I didn’t find this to be a problem and continued discussing insurance and other details.
Upon arriving at the airport in the evening, I was greeted by a driver, but he was from a company called Drivus, not Blitz. He explained that Blitz was a middleman and Drivus provided the cars. He showed me the necessary documents proving that I had rented the car through Blitz but from Drivus. I went with the driver to the car, and to my surprise, it was not a Volkswagen Tiguan but a Hyundai Creta. The driver told me it was the same class of car, but this is certainly not the case as the Creta is smaller than the Tiguan and more comparable to the T-Cross, the smaller sibling of the Tiguan.
Additionally, I was handed a bill of 500 AED for delivering and picking up the car from this airport. Standing at the airport with my whole family in the evening, I had no choice but to pay because we needed to get to the hotel. I communicated my concerns with both Drivus and Blitz during my vacation. Both were friendly, but Drivus pointed the finger at Blitz (which I understand). Blitz claimed that their general rental terms stated a charge of 250 AED for pick-up and 250 AED for delivery, but this is not true. Blitz’s terms do not mention these costs; they are in Drivus’s terms. I confronted Blitz with this and demanded a refund because I was completely surprised by these charges, and it was not stated in Blitz’s terms that there would be a fee for Al Maktoum Airport. Blitz took no responsibility, and I was left without my money, albeit in a friendly manner.
I do not recommend renting a car from this company unless you enjoy surprises and a company that does not adhere to agreements. I would suggest renting from a well-established name or directly from Drivus, as then you know what to expect

Blitz car is a scam

Hired a vehicle through flexicar.com in October for rental from 19-21 Dec. Got a good price for early booking and paid for the rental in October which secured the booking. Got confirmation numbers from Blitz and flexicar. Arrangement was to contact Blitz on arrival in Dubai which I did. Immediate response was “has no one contacted you yet?” After about an hour I was told the car had a mechanical failure and they upgrade me. Bonus, I thought. It turns out the car is much smaller and can’t accommodate all 6 of us. Website says instant confirmation and 7 seaters are available. In fact I booked one to check. The price though is a lot more. They claim vehicle had a mechanical failure the moment I landed and that’s the only 7 seater they have. Yet website shows they have cars available. This is a proper scam. Stay away from flexicar and Blitz in Dubai.
