Talk about price gouging

Talk about price gouging! I used to buy Coles brand cottage cheese for $4 before pandemic. I watched this product go up in price each fortnight and now it's almost $7!!!

The Cole’s store in Wingham has the absolute worst fresh produce.
It’s old last a day or so in the refrigerator. If left out it withers away the same day.
The potatoes with lass starch go off super fast. They aren’t filling and taste awful. Why is the shop always full but the turnover for fresh food is awful.
Shame on you Cole’s

Bought a Kore smart body analysis scale from Coles.
Neither Coles sales nor Kore box indicated that the smart scale only works for a subscription of $19.9/ month. Only realised it on calling the company after purchase.
According to Kore they sell only online and grocery stores should not be selling their products.

Coles Glenvale QLD Bakery

I took my disabled daughter to Coles at Glenvale to purchase groceries. She was walking slightly ahead of me. As soon as I walked in to the shop, I noticed this male staff member in the Bakery leering, smirking & laughing at my daughter. He didn't notice me. He was rudely too interested in staring at my daughter. I confronted him & he laughed further. I then told him off. I noticed another worker in the fruit & vegie section and asked for the manager. The manager came and saw us & spoke with the worker. The manager made an apology on the staff members behalf. I'm disgusted that this worker was allowed to treat a disabled person like this. I'm disgusted that we couldn't shop in peace. I felt that we should leave Coles & go home. Isn't my daughter allowed to shop without being made feel that she does not belong in society? This was disgusting behaviour. This behaviour does not belong in society. I'm really considering taking this much further. My daughter understands what happened. How would he like it if somebody stared at him & bullied him out of a shop because he looked different than what society thinks or believes is acceptable! Your staff need training in diversity & empathy. BTW, other workers in your bakery had a good giggle too. How awful, discriminatory & degrading.

Coles worst buys- DON’T go near them.

Purchased table bar set plus extra table. Description clearly states inside/outdoor - rust free.
After exactly one week of being on my balcony all have rust spots. Have sent picture after picture. Coles agreed to refund me the bar set and asked would I accept. I agreed to this and then realised they were only refunding me the set and not the second table. The refund for the single table was deposited into my bank which as stated should have been the set and now fighting over the set. I clearly have an email from them asking me if I accept the refund for the set with no mention of the single table. This has been going back & forth since last Thursday. Im now getting the excuse it’s with our warehouse team and be patient whilst they review it. I have the email asking me if I agree to a refund with no return on the set. I agreed..
I will get fair trading involved now.
Never again Coles worst buy you will never get my business again.

Coles best buys are WORST buys ever!

Re coles best buys

Wish had seen the reviews before. We were literally cheated. We ordered a king size bed that showed up in cheaper price than other places and the confirmation email sent to us showed a single bed ordered which we only discovered once we received the single bed. They refused a return and if they did they would ask us to pay shipping. This is a total rip off. We are absolutely sure what we had ordered. I think they change their website description or some
Sort of glitch in their order system. They refused even to apply any discount as a courtesy.

Product itself is cheap. We have ended up paying probably more than double the cost what it should be at.

Total rip off. Would highly NOT recommend.

WOEFUL SERVICE AND STOCK LEVELS LATELY

I have been getting Coles deliveries since May last year and things have been great....UNTIL the last 3 weeks.
They (the dispatch team from the Aspley Hypermarket (Qld) store have either not suppling items, substituting an inferior product (like today, ROUND bread rolls for full-size HAMBURGER rolls which were ordered, which are totally useless ie they are now not substituting a the same type of product they "cannot"supply - a little hard making a burger with a bun half the size) and last week, the delivery was an hour LATE! Never received notification of that, just a note on the app that it was "delayed", but no indication as to how long.
Add that the woeful lack of stock that is available now...so many "choose similar", which equates to you need to buy a MORE EXPENSIVE product, but there is no guarantee you'll get it. My guess, IF they get this, is to trot out the standard "supply chain issue" response. There should be NO supply chain issues as this has been the response since COVID, but that was nearly 4 years ago. Saying that, they have used others, like the war in the Ukraine when I asked in store sometimes.
No point in speaking to the store delivery manager, seeing they do not work weekends, about this issue and the fact the my delivery is always the last one of the run, despite having to drive past my suburb to get to the start.

It’s the only option available to us otherwise I would shop elsewhere

Coles are quick to give you substitutes for their own brand for online ordering - which is the equivalent of home brand. Staff are also trained to pick to the meat closest to expiry for online orders which is not practicable. I’ve had many items delivered at 8pm that actually expire that day. Staff that pick do not think. I have given 3 stars because the last 2 times our delivery driver has been amazing in leaving the items in a sensible place.

Help at closing time.

Two young employees at Coles Firle helped me on the 12th Feb at closing time. I had lost my phone and it had been handed in. They went out of their way to assist me and were so lovely .It saved me from a very anxious night .Their names were Jessica and Artem. I can't thank them and Coles enough. Barbara

Online order - ice cream defrosted

This was my first time ordering from Coles online. I had done "the competition" a few times, and they weren't too bad. And now that Coles had the new Peter's ice cream drumstick flavours on special, I thought I'd give it a go.
I shouldn't have.
Even my tinned goods arrived colder than both my meats and my ice cream.
In fact, the ice cream is very much sludge. Certainly not edible now when I would really quite like some, and likely to set as crystals when it refreezes, and no longer enjoyable.
What a bad joke. You'd think they'd have their transport and temperatures sorted.
Never again!

Coles Click and Colllect - 1.5 hour ordeal. No apology – no thanks.

My first experience with Coles Victoria Point Click and Collect
1. Arrived and phoned mobile number – no answer left message.
2. Ignored by two team members while waiting. Thought they may greet the customer and say....Can I help you? No.
3. Eventually got through on mobile.
4. 15mins later, groceries brought out.
5. Got home – unpacked - no dairy products and squashed bread.
6. Returned to store for replacement.
7. Received incorrect milk again.
8. 1.5 hour ordeal. No apology – no thanks.
Never again.

Coles click and collect charge you…

Coles click and collect charge you before checking if they actually have the stock 9 times out of ten I’ve now been charged per shop over $20-30 for items I later get notified we’re not supplied, then to try get a refund you have to spend so much time and they carry on like I am wrong, no COLES! You send me the list with pictures of the items and numbered of amounts of each item I chose then the total cost at the bottom, then I collect they never give you a paper receipt and we click and collect to save time not to then stand there going through every bag and double checking items then go on my phone and check that receipt to see if they are the same then check my pay pal or bank to see what was charged ! Fix it Coles all your stores do this, and your Yeppoon store click and collect the person wheels a trolley out to you and walks away doesn’t pack or have your items packed in bags nor supplies enough bags then you have to ring them to come back out to give you more bags!

Coles Partner Service Incompetent and Untrustworthy

I placed an online order with Coles (#181552804) and reluctantly paid the $11 for fast delivery by their "Partner Drivers".

Well the driver was supposed to come between 3:30pm and 4:30pm that day, and later I received a text that the driver had picked up my parcels from Coles and was on his way, so I waited for him to arrived.

After awhile I didn't hear my intercom ringing to let me know he was here so I just happen to check my security cameras and I saw a car reversing out onto the main road so I raced downstairs and low and behold there was my parcels sitting out front of my security door in the rain, no text message or ring on my buzzer to let me know he had arrived, you would think for $11 delivery he could of just pressed the damn intercom button to let me know he had arrived. (But obviously these drivers don't have much intelligence)

And to make matters worse there was over $50 of my shopping missing (7 items), and I can truly say there wasn't anyone else around, so either the "Picker" at Coles is an idiot and doesn't know how to pick orders or the "Partner Driver is also an idiot and doesn't know how to pick up orders from a metal box and read names or he is just a down right thief by taking my groceries, and getting away with it by not pressing my intercom and then probably stating later it could have been someone else that took those items.

And this is not the first time Coles "Partner Drivers" have been completely useless at this simple job, but this was definitely the last straw in placing any trust in this incompetent, useless Coles "Partner Drivers" service.

I did contact Coles Online about the missing items in question and I explained everything in detail and they said that I would be credited $50+ dollars, but I told them that I did not want that I just wanted my groceries that I paid for because I didn't want to pay more in deliveries, and so the person on the phone said that Coles would give me $20 credit for compensation instead and that they would deliver my missing groceries the next day by Coles truck. (#182123753)

I also asked them would that include the Curtis Stone BBQ Shears that was missing too as my credits have already been taken and they said yes, that they would place them in the order to.

Truthfully I did not actually believe them.

Later I checked my bank and surprisingly I was credited the $20 that they said they were going to give me, but I did receive a Coles notice stating that they were not able to get one of my items so I would only be receiving 6 items and the next day when the Coles delivery driver arrived 2 of the 6 items were missing one being the Shears. (surprising)

I was going to contact Coles again to tell them about the missing items as they still haven't reimbursed me for the item they could not supply which was around $14.50 and it would seem they still charged me for those Shears ($16) even though they took my credits, but I just can't deal with all the stress I have been put through the last 2 days due to some idiot not being able to do their job properly.

So my advice, NEVER USE the Coles "Partner Service" no matter how desperate you are, because they are incompetent, Illiterate and just a complete waste of $11.

And Coles are just liars, so always check your groceries and especially your bank account for discrepancies after using Coles Online.
