Two defective units, misleading information, and zero accountability

Buyer beware: Blue Coolers is owned and operated by Caddis Sports. I want both names searchable so future customers have the full picture.
I purchased a Blue Coolers 60qt wheeled rotomolded cooler — a premium-priced product that should reflect premium quality. It did not.
The first unit arrived with a screw protruding from the wheel assembly that prevented the front wheel from turning, making it essentially useless as a wheeled cooler. I initiated a return and was told a replacement had been shipped the same day my defective unit was dropped off — March 23rd. UPS tracking told a different story: the label wasn’t created until the 24th and the package wasn’t picked up until the 25th, two days later than they claimed. When I pointed this out, I received a scripted response deflecting blame to the carrier with no acknowledgment of the inaccuracy.
The replacement arrived on March 30th with the exact same defect — same screw, same wheel, completely unusable.
At that point I demanded a full refund and was not interested in a third unit. To their credit, they did provide a return label and processed the refund without further argument — but that is the bare minimum expected after two consecutive defective products.
The customer service experience throughout felt outsourced and scripted, with no genuine accountability, no apology, and no goodwill gesture despite dealing with two defective products, two returns, and weeks of waiting. I would caution against purchasing anything under the Caddis Sports brand — if this is how they handle a customer who received two consecutive defective units, I have no confidence in how they would handle any issue across their other product lines.
For a premium-priced rotomolded cooler competing with brands like YETI and RTIC, this level of quality control and customer service is unacceptable. I ultimately ordered a YETI and could not be happier with that decision.
Bottom line: Save yourself the hassle and spend your money with a brand that actually stands behind their product.
