I have been using Bluecrest Wellness for an annual MOT for the last three years and they really are very good. Booking is easy, and when I had to call them to change dates it was incredibly simple and friendly.
On the day, I was seen by Dan Porter and he really put me at ease right from the start. Even when drawing blood! I felt like I was in safe hands.

I booked an additional paid for Health Check via Vitality delivered by Bluecrest.
The booking system was clear, easy and the appointment made satisfactorily. Upon arrival at the appointment destination, a bit of a dilapadated backwater hotel, there was no-one on reception or anyone else around so I found the correct room under my own steam and was greeted by Charley who was great, professional, helpful, friendly and efficient. The appointment was as good as it could be with the only downside that I could not do the fitness test as I did not have on sports shoes, I wasn't told to wear sports shoes and couldn't, apparently, do the test in socks or bare feet. Still, all good so far, at the end Charley assured me there were no issues and I left happy with a clear idea of what to expect next.
The report arrived in the time expected, the report was very thorough with about 100 health points but contained something that I had not been prepared for, a 'Red Flag' for risk of Heart issues and Stroke, upon studying the report for details it was unclear and incomplete. It just said a Red Flag without any further explanation.
And this was where my satisfaction plunged, upon contacting Bluecrest for a clarification I was told someone would come back to me, and I was told this in total 4 times over a period of a worrying month without any further contact, only when I addressed a further email to the CEO did I get back an answer, a rather brief explanation that a few Amber results had led to a Red. The reply acknowledged that the report could and should be clearer but, as other complaints similar to this one are on this page previously, why wasn't it? I suspected there to be a 'totting up' system to be the case and had already had a health professional interpret the results and point out the ones I could really disregard as 'very blunt instruments'
It all felt like it was done as a cut and paste job by the numbers without any supervisory oversight. As there are plenty of providers offering this service I will use an alternative one of them next time around.
So:
Booking system - Good
Health Appt - Fair
Venue - Poor
Report - Fair
Customer Service - Utterly Abysmal
Edit for reply to Bluecrest.
Hi Thomas,
I have already said in my review that you did, eventually, answer. So you are fully aware of the circumstances of this case. Again, it looks like your answers to poor reviews are cut and pasted without any real effort to understand the issue.

I attended a Bluecrest health assessment on 7 March having paid £223 — £134 upfront and a further £89 on the day when I discovered that vitamin and B12 tests are not included in any package and must be bought separately. I booked after my Vitality GP advised me to get B12 and blood work done and mentioned that Vitality members receive discounts at Bluecrest. I will be raising with Vitality that none of their partner’s packages actually include vitamin tests.
Following my appointment, 34 results were unavailable. I chased twice by email and received no meaningful response. It was only after I posted a review on Feefo that anyone contacted me.
I was then told that my biometric health data had been lost due to a technical failure, and that their data security team had decided this did not need reporting to the ICO — communicated casually in a complaint response email with no reference to any formal process or risk assessment. This is special category health data. I was offered £20.
For a company built entirely on processing people’s most sensitive health information, the complacency I have experienced is alarming. I will be escalating to their CEO and the ICO. I would strongly advise others to stay away.

A lovely lady looked after me. She explained everthing we were going to do. I forgot my trainers, so she kindly let me go back and get them so that i could do my fitness test at the end of the day.

Had a health check with Bluecrest today my fourth in the past 4 years. As always very pleased with service and the range of tests offered. Was well looked after by Eva today who was very skilled at taking blood.

I booked an appointment about 4 months ahead of time via Vitality. They have now cancelled my appointment at least 4 times. Always on the day of the appointment so if it's at 9am you get zero notice. Incredibly disruptive as most people will have arranged their day around the appointment. Now that this has happened so many times its clear the explanations given are total nonsense.
