From beginning to end, Blue Lion Band have been professional, courteous, responsive, timely but fun and energetic too. Enthusiastic and always keen to learn new songs to make our event special for us. You brought the tunes and the vibes and we gave it all on the dance floor. Thank you!

Wow, honestly you guys totally exceeded all expectations and literally everyone commented on how incredible our music game was for the wedding so thank you so much, you were all amazing. The music was one of the most important parts for us with me coming from a musical family, and we’ve seen some awful bands in our time, but it’s safe to say we’ve certainly set the bar high for future friends weddings! - Sophie is an absolute star, really loved her, such brilliant energy and a perfect lead singer to represent you all.
Simon - for someone who is a perfectionist, you did a superb job at reassuring me, you totally got the vibe we were after, you gave us a lot of your time before the wedding to make sure everything was set, you all performed our first dance song perfectly even though it wasn’t in your initial repertoire and we genuinely would recommend to anyone to try and work with you if they can!
Thank you for making our day so special- we didn’t want the night to end!

We had a great experience with Dessie and Blue Lion Band during our wedding process, clear communication and coordination - all of our guests loved the performance as well.

We would like to thank Darren and the Blue Lion Band for entertaining us at our evening reception at the Ashdown Park Hotel in September 2025. We had an 8-piece band and they were fantastic. They completely exceeded all expectations. The sound was amazing and the music was flawless. They did 3 sets and each set ensured the dance floor was never empty. Both of the vocalists had brilliant voices and the brass section were fabulous and added so much to the overall sound.
They made our wedding truly special and we can’t thank and recommend them enough.
Booking and organising the evening was easy. The portal made it run smoothly and Darren was very helpful in arranging the evening and working out timings and our play list.

The Band was recommended to us by our caterers. Communication was very responsive and helpful. We attended a showcase night in London and were instantly wowed by them. We didn't hesitate to sign them up. On our wedding night, the atmosphere was fantastic. We had so many great comments not only from our guests but also from our wedding venue team. Dessie and the band create the best atmosphere, the dance floor was packed for all of the band's sets. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Incredible band, I wouldn't hesitate in having them at another event in the future. We had them for our wedding, i haven't stopped hearing from all our guests how good they were. However not only the band, in addition they took care of all of our music requirements throughout the day. Music to walk up and down the ailse, drinks reception music and the evening band it was all fabulous and seamless. Thank you !

From the very first point of contact with Dessie, we knew we were in safe hands. His professionalism, enthusiasm, and passion for what he does came across instantly, and he made the whole process feel so easy and exciting. We also went along to watch the band play a set in Hoxton, which completely confirmed for us that The Blue Lion Band was the band for our wedding – the energy, the talent, and the way they engaged with the crowd was just unmatched.

On the wedding day itself, they completely exceeded every expectation we had. The vibe they created and the party atmosphere they brought was beyond anything we could have imagined. In our pre-wedding meeting, we’d said that all we wanted was for everyone to be on the dancefloor all night and to have the best time – and they absolutely delivered on that and so much more.

Every single member of the band was incredible. Their talent, energy, and sheer love for performing shone through, and it made the whole evening unforgettable. As the bride and groom, we genuinely didn’t leave the dancefloor once – and being invited up to join the band on stage at one point was such a surreal and unforgettable highlight.

The feedback from our guests has been overwhelming – people are still talking about how amazing the band was and how they could have happily kept dancing all night long. It honestly felt like one huge celebration from start to finish, and The Blue Lion Band were such a massive part of making that happen.

We first saw the band at a friend’s wedding in Bristol and knew straight away we wanted them for ours. Communication with Simon in the lead-up was fantastic, and on the day they were simply incredible. The music was tailored perfectly to us, and we trusted them completely, they didn’t disappoint!

Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how brilliant the band was, and a real highlight was them kindly letting my dad and brother (both singers) join in, which made the day even more special.

Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding unforgettable, we can’t recommend them highly enough!

Blue Lion Band played at our daughter's/stepdaughter's wedding in a marquee in our garden in Henley-on-Thames.
We had the seven piece band with two sensational singers. The music was fantastic and the band were really tight, professional and fun. Every instrumentalist was brilliant and the singers had excellent voices - Lionel Richie's All Night Long was a particular hit and Al Green Let's Stay Together was wonderful.
The band had everyone dancing from the very start until the end.
The musicians were fun, warm and energetic and created a brilliant buzz. We had so many compiments. They were even kind enough to let our teenage son (who is a drummer) play a song with them - beyond the call of duty and so generous.
Thank you so much, you really helped make our night fantastic and special. We will definitely be recommending Blue Lion to all our friends and will be using them for my 50th in two years...

We had the Blue lion band play at our wedding in Slindon house just outside Arundel on30 th August 2025! They arrived on time and started playing promptly too! We had a 5 piece band and they were excellent! They played most of the songs we had requested in their 4 sets and played music whilst they were resting! I sang a song at the beginning of the second set for my wife which went down a storm and they were very accommodating for me to do that!!! Their sound was phenomenal, tge musicians were superb and tge lead singer was a power house ! All in all they made our wedding even more magical than it was! Truly fantastic! Darren and The Blue Lion band made our wedding absolutely perfect from start to finish. Accommodating last minutes additions (Saxophonist during the cocktail hour) as well as letting us have full input into the set lists as well as DJ sessions in between. The online portal is great and easy to use, communicating throughout as well as on the day with any time adjustments. Could not recommend them highly enough and the dancefloor was packed all night. We had blue lion band at our wedding. We had 1 singer during the ceremony, a saxophonist and keyboard during the drinks reception and then the 7 piece band in the evening. Every part was outstanding we had so many compliments by guests on how good the band was. Special shoutout to Denquar our ceremony singer and lead singer with the band she was brilliant every song was pitch perfect. They really bring the vibe to your event. Very responsive during the planning stages. Highly recommend

Absolutely incredible wedding band! Do not hesitate to book them!!

Dessie and the Blue Lion Band are amazing! They are so talented and our guests raved about them all, not least Delilah the lead singer. The dance floor was full all night, and the band were super responsive and adaptable to requests in the build up, even making adaptations to our first dance song so we could have it just the way we wanted. The band were even on board with working out accompaniment so that I got to perform a song for my wife. The band also did a fantastic set for Jewish dancing. So much fun! We loved planning the wedding with Dessie and the Blue Lion Band and are looking for future events to get to hire them again!

We had the 6-piece band play at our wedding and they were honestly incredible. They completely smashed it from the first song to the last. The energy was perfect throughout. They absolutely nailed our first dance, which was an Ibiza classic, and the female vocalist’s voice was unreal. So many of our guests have said how amazing they were and the dance floor didn’t empty once. We’re so glad we booked them. It made the night.

Blue Lion Brighton band were amazing for our wedding, would highly recommend! Darren so helpful with any questions in the lead up to our wedding & on the day they were amazing, definitely knew how to get everyone on the dance floor!

They brought the party! Everyone danced all night. We had an 8 piece band which was amazing and worth it from my opinion.

Now that the dust has settled and we are back home, we just wanted to message you and the band to say a MASSIVE thank you for being absolutely awesome on Saturday night.

You guys MADE the night and I think every single person was on the dance floor boogieing away! It was just amazing and we wish we could relive it!!

We loved seeing the band live ahead of our wedding day, and from that point on the communication was great, and the performance on the night was top quality. They kept the dance floor alive throughout the evening.
