How do BMW UK allow themselves to be associated with such a shambles of a company as this. Having paid a final account ( £15.70) three years ago, I was contacted and harrassed by a debt collection... See more

I’m speechless to be honest. Your employees don’t go through security properly and don’t know what each other are saying. They simply point blank ignored my main issue as it doesn’t even exist. They m... See more

Charging by stealth - BMW should be ashamed
I didn't subscribe to charging when buying a new i3 and after 12 months free, they started charging me for something I never used and had no need of. I challenged it after a few months and they hid behind T&C's in contract despite being unable/unwilling to provide me with my signature to prove I was liable. Shoddy and deceitful attitude from a brand with better values (or maybe not). Just switched to Audi for next new car so hope it was worth it for them.
I have been charged for charging my car…
I have been charged for charging my car when it was not me.
I charged my vehicle for 14 minute and 15 kwh on the 6th Jan 2024 at 4pm. I then returned home. On the 7th Jan at 4am in the morning, the same electric vehicle charge point was used for 51 kwh and over 1 1/2 hrs charging. I was at home and can evidence this. BMW Charge have decline to refund my account and are charging because the charge card was used, even though I was 126 miles from the charge station. I'm not disputing other charges. The email is snotty and the call centre cant answer the problem. Not using the card and strongly recommend anyone not using BMW Charging.
Subscription auto renewed
Subscription auto renewed. Responsive but unsympathetic customer service when looking to get a refund (refused). Poor reflection on the BMW brand.
Poor and unsympathetic service
I have had the same experience as others. Signed up on autorenewal without my knowledge. I have never used the service yet they are charging monthly. I complained to say that I was not aware, not used the service and they should not charge me. I was told that I have to pay and there is no other option; totally unsympathetic. I recommend others to AVOID this company.
Subscription auto renewal - BEWARE Ts & Cs.
I got one year’s subscription free when I bought my i4. After the year (when I never used it) I found a charge of £5.32 on my credit card. I had inadvertently allowed them sign me up for auto renewal. I rang them to cancel the payment, get a refund and close the account. I rang 3 times the 01937 number and after electing to stay on the line and wait, was cut off without warning. After my first email clearly stating my formal complaint, they said they didn’t have a record of the complaint. This treatment is disgraceful for a premium car company. I am still exchanging emails!
UPDATE: Not only will they not refund the £5.32, but they are charging me £7.85 in December and I can not stop them taking the money from my credit card. The contract was cancelled on November 12th but they will not end it until the end of December. This is as near a scam as I’ve ever experienced. My advice is never, ever enter into a contract with BMW Charging.
Looking at buy a new BMW 3 series
Looking at buy a new BMW 3 series. However just been checking out extras. Absolutely disgusting. My 3 series at the moment came with numerous extras that I would now have to pay for if I changed my car. It would work out at about an extra £100 per month and possibly more. If I change my car will not be for another BMW.
BMW And Still Taking Money
Today BMW have taken 2 payments. I will challange this with my card company . Shocking how these clowns treat customers . Never used the service either . Pure Scam
AVOID!!!Same Story!
Same Story!
Didn't know we had free charging for our i3s and then they started charging - I cancelled and they continued to charge by taking out of my account. I have no idea how they got hold of our account details. I again canceled and asked for a refund of the 4 months they charged us for but they came back and said that we owed them for a further 3 months and will go legal if we don't pay.
Amazingly uncaring customer service team (Teresa) and just don't respond to your questions but give you ambiguous responses back that make no sense. Awful awful awful - AVOID!!!
THIEVES !
THIEVES !
I can only agree with what other have written here.
I am driving BMW for 30 years and have always been loyal to the brand.
I stayed 2 nights in hotel in France this summer. I paid for their covered car park. I charged my hybrid car once and made the "mistake" of leaving the car plugged in after charging. As a result, I was billed 426 euro for 1 charge that allows me to drive 75 km with my car. I contacted the hotel (Mercure in Saumur) and they provided me with proof that the cost for that 1 session was 8,4 euro (which seems fair to me). BMW however refers to the legal terms of the agreement and claims that they can charge me 426 euro. These thieves have no idea how damaging this behavior is for a brand ! Please do yourselves a favor and do not sign up for this "service"
Even one star is too much
Even one star is too much, but that’s the least you can give to give a review. But I really want to warn people. Never, I mean, never sign up for this card. This company is a scam and damaging the BMW brand. I was charged over €600 for 1! Single charging session in the hotel where we stayed in Austria. When contacting the hotel afterwards, they referred me to the provider TIWAG, who answered me and BMW saying they have agreed with BMW on a cap of €75 per session, and that that was the amount that BMW was charged. Even with this information, and after months of dreadful mails, BMW kept saying that I needed to pay the high amount, as my contract states a fee per minute of charging in Austria (without a cap, which is a real scam, as once the car is fully loaded, it doesn’t keep on loading and the hotel owner said we could stay at the loading station) I used the card in good faith as it was provided by the garage, but will never use it again. BMW just pulled out all their tricks and ripped me off for more then €500. terrible, non-existing, customer service, many weeks to get a first response and couldn’t call them. Even the garage interfered as they also thought it wasn’t correct (the first year I should have received a contract with lower fees, but something went wrong with the activation?). Even that compensation wasn’t offered to me.
One day, these practices will be regulated with a cap just like what happened with roaming but in the meantime BMW just keeps ripping of their customers.
Never ever again. And I hope I can help people with this
Attempted to charge additional £147…
Attempted to charge additional £147 five months after date of charge, due to 'billing error'.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. After returning my leasing I3, they continued to invoice for months and must make a huge profit from invoicing people who are unaware and not using the service.
There is NOONE answering the phones at this place, and they do not return calls or email at the adress registered as customer support in Sweden.
And when I finally was able to access my account online, shutting it down leads to a further 2 months of service before closing down so they can continue invoicing.
IF you use this company make sure you 2 months ahead of time close down the service, or do not use automatic transfer to them.
There is no one responsible in Sweden, that takes accountability, the names on the automatic email are all German and the adress is in Berlin.
I have always been a big fan of BMW and have driven BMW most of my life, but this is extremely damaging to your reputation and not what you can expect from BMW.
Diabolical Service and customer service
Got Charging FOC for 1 year without me knowing when I bought a BMW i3, never used the actual service as it does not add any value over other charging services, tried to cancel but has continued to be billed for 3 months.
Called but no answer, ended up getting a call returned from Chris (would not give me his surname) from Spain who would not cancel the invoices.
Diabolical use of the BMW brand
No intention of paying
Bad customer service!
Bad customer service!
I paid double card fees for several months when I only had one card. This because apparently there were 2 accounts with different email addresses. When I indicated this, it was said that this will not happen again, but the costs I have already paid will not be refunded. I have sent proof that I only have one card (and they should be able to see it themselves) but still the DOUBLE charges already paid will not be refunded. You must attach the card costs to the card and not to an (in)active account.
Non-existent Customer Service
Signed up for the BMW Charging card and also for the Ionity and BP Pulse subscriptions, which BMW Charging claims are free for the first year for owners of new BMW EVs. Despite this they charged me for these subscriptions and have since failed to respond to emails. This is terrible service from BMW, and is damaging their reputation as a premium brand. BMW Charging needs a serious shake up and change of management.
Never got the card
Subscribed, signed the contract, never received the card. Sent tens of emails, no answer, never.
Same level of quality than their cars.
I've been trying to get out of this for…
I've been trying to get out of this for months. Nearly impossible to stop them taking money out of your account. In the end I cancelled my direct debit so have 3 outstanding invoices - because its so hard to cancel the account. Discovered that you have to write to them to stop the account. No-one from the company has told me this before - they just blocked my account. All invoices have to be paid individually, by International bank transfer!!!!
I offered to pay over the phone and they just couldn't manage that.
BMW couldn't manage a phone payment...
Awful service. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Poor communication & dispute resolution. AVOID!
Extremely poor customer service and call centre without useful escalation process. Free subscription trial continued after notification of cancellation, which seems to be common after seeing other reviews. Call centre have lost all records of calls and continue to charge. Cancelled debit card to stop BMW from fraudulently taking money from my account. Won’t buy another BMW again after experience with BMW Charging. Cooperate bullies best avoided
don't sign up to the free subscription
don't sign up to the free subscription! I cancelled on the app, way before I had to start paying, but they still charged me. I have paid for 2 months, despite not using the service. BMW relies on BP Pulse chargers - possibly the worst (and most overpriced) ones out there. The discount you get via BMW only brings it closer to the price range of the much better companies out there (eg Pod Point). Just don't bother!
Remember to cancel after free trial
I’ve used my BMW charge card I think once in 12 months as BP pulse stations always seem to be out of order, my free trail period ended and now I’m stuck with 3 months of charging fees for nothing…you could say that one charge cost me £24 on top of the normal charge. I wouldn’t bother with them. No need to join as most charge station allow you to pay direct. Rang customer services but nothing they can do. Really takes the shine off owning a BMW
