Don't Trust BoB Club North West

I joined BoB (NW) in March 2020. The franchise owner Tracy Heatley drew me in saying she needed a VA as her previous one had stopped working with her. We had a meeting to discuss BoB membership and her using my VA services. I signed up, once the registration was paid, her need for a VA suddenly vanished. As a new business she told me I could pay the membership over 3 months. When it came to it, she changed it to 2 months, but still took 3 payments. It took a week and many emails for her to repay the over payment. Fast forward to Nov 2020 and she posted inflammatory comments aimed at me in a group chat for all the businesses in our group. I still have those messages. The comments came from a personal grudge she had against me and had no place in a business setting. As a result I decided to leave and asked for a refund as my leaving was due to her very unprofessional conduct implying to the group of business owners that I had done something against her, which was a downright lie. I copied the MD, Geoff Cox into emails to her and I rang and asked him to call. Completely ignored, no apology, membership deleted without any negotiation and they hide behind a no refund policy. Steer well clear.

Great!

I have recently rejoined this networking group, with thanks to Wayne Farmer.
Wayne organises and runs the meetings very effectively, ensuring every member has a great experience and plenty of business is passed

Waste of time and money BOB

Absolute joke. Joined the Bromley London group for a year and never ever got a decent lead or intro to conduct business. They had multiple professionals within each sector which is pointless also.
The manager Ian was clearly only after your money and nothing else. They Did not even wish me well or say goodbye or any courtesy when I said I was leaving due to travel distance, unreasonable charging when not in attendance and lack of business.

Clearly just want your money and charge you for every meeting on top, even when you cannot attend.

Stay away, there are far better networking clubs which cost nothing such as the FSB.

Yet another boys club

Yet another boys club. Charge you to join, charge you for each meeting, insist that they can rule over business interactions and commercial disputes between members regardless of cause. Run by “professional” facilitators who do absolutely nothing for their members. If you must join a boys club may I suggest the scouts as even their most junior members have more business acumen than this lot.

Bob Club International - Bad for You and Your Business

In essence Bob Club International, and specifically their UK operation, is a pyramid selling venture. Run as a franchise model, the franchisees offer little or no benefits that a member with a Linked In profile could not readily get via other means, The charges for membership exclude costs for such as venue hire for meetings, charged as an additional cost to each member (£265 pa), which is not mentioned either when joining or on the BC website - It will cost you £460 to join with the membership fee, apparently, used for the sole benefit of lining the "directors" pockets. If boosting income to your business via referrals is your objective, I suggest you take up golf, It will be much more beneficial to you, your health and your business...and a lot more enjoyable than tedious bi-weekly conversation with some low level business people.
